Dan provided a fantastic service. It was our 2nd time in recent times to avail of Dan’s services. 1st sale fell through. Dan kindly fitted us in promptly and the best part was the immediate phone call after to discuss a couple of points and provide estimated time of delivery for the report (which was received ahead of the agreed time frame).
The follow up call helped us greatly keep our purchase moving along.

Ark Surveyors were quick to book me in and advise me on which survey to chose. Although maybe in hindsight I could have done with a level 3 structural survey. Dan Jombla who was brilliant, thorough, and provided advice via a phone call after the survey was complete. I recently commissioned a Level 3 Survey for a period property I was looking to purchase, and I was thoroughly impressed with the service from start to finish.

The survey was incredibly detailed, covering structural issues, damp, roof condition, plumbing and electrics. The report was well-structured and easy to understand, with clear recommendations on urgent repairs which gave me confidence in my decision-making process.

Thanks to this survey, I was able to negotiate a reduction on the property price due to the roofing and damp issues that were highlighted. Their expertise saved me from unexpected expenses down the line.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Ark Surveyors. Despite visible water damage in my garage, their report failed to mention it, leaving me to deal with the consequences. After raising this issue, I was shocked at how they handled the situation. Rather than taking accountability, they attempted to shift the blame using disclaimers and excuses.

What’s even more concerning is that I’ve seen other reviews mentioning similar experiences — visible issues completely missed and no admission of fault. It’s clear that this is not an isolated incident.

I genuinely tried to resolve this matter with Ark Surveyors without resorting to a public review. Mistakes can happen, and I was willing to be understanding. However, their refusal to take responsibility left me with no choice. I have now escalated this matter to RICS, and I hope they will address it appropriately.

They may respond here to try and shift the blame further, but the fact remains simple — there is visible damage on the wall, and their report made no mention of it. It really cannot be any clearer than that.

For anyone considering Ark Surveyors, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a more reliable and accountable service.

The initial survey was organised very quickly once given details. Dan was really patient in helping me understand the survey and answering my questions for further investigations. He was happy for me to give him a call and would respond when not available when he would be able to get back to me.

We instructed Sam conveyancing for home survey which they subcontracted to this company. We received a survey full of flaws, the survey report referred to damp in rooms, like a beauty room that did not exist in the flat. It mentioned there is rising damp (which is only an issue for ground level flats) in a second and third level which is unheard of. The report showed a meter reading to 99.9% damp in the wall which is a REALLY damp wall while these was no evidence of damp in the flat. We questioned that and the surveyor refused to tell us which wall it was that was so damp (even after asking for about 10 times) because we believe the reading was not taken in our flat. Otherwise why would they refuse to share that information? We ended up hiring another damp specialist and pay them £400 just to put our mind at rest before we buy the flat. Not surprisingly there was no damp issue in our flat at all. Our conclusion was that the survey report really did not belong to our flat and it was more or less copied and pasted from another report. It either contained incorrect information or a type of information that you can find in a Google search and we were charged £529 or so for it. We also understand the surveyor spent very little time in the flat which explains the quality of the report.

Ark Surveyors Limited provided a generally satisfactory service. Dan was quick to respond and the property inspection was conducted promptly. The report delivered was detailed and met my needs. However, while the service was efficient and professional, it didn't stand out as exceptional in any particular way. Overall, a reliable experience but fairly standard in terms of service quality.

Pretty average service. The survey report makes you even more confused than before. For pretty much anything significant in the report, the surveyor says "you have to consultant a specialist".

You pay £1300 for a survey and by the end of it they recommend you hire another 10 individual specialists.

They also don't give you any indication of price to fix the problems. I know these can vary a lot but a price range would be very useful.

I got much better actionable insights by visiting the property with a builder.

Also, the report has hundreds of tiny pictures that are very hard to see any details on them. When I asked for high resolution pictures I was told they don't provide them.

Dan was very responsive from the start. Made us feel engaged and gave us confidence he is a professional. Efficient in getting appointment scheduled with our Real Estate agent we are buying the apartment from. A comprehensive and informative report was produced in a timely manner. We are located in Australia and dealing with Dan across the seas despite time zone differences presented no problems. Dan was also quick in responding to a few clarifications I had post-delivery of the report. Very happy I made the decision to select Dan as the Surveyor and would not hesitate to recommend.
