Above and Beyond Service

I accidentally left my mobile phone on one of their coaches.
Roger and his team went above and beyond in ensuring that I got it back, even making a trip to my accommodation to drop my phone back to me.

I want to share my journey and story…With Arleen Coaches.

I want to share my journey and story with Arleen Coaches, which started on the 22-10-2019. At I was sat at double sets of traffic lights in Avon Street, Bath, one which flows traffic to the left and one I was at going straight ahead At 4. 15pm registration Bus reg YN07 LDX Crunched into the back passenger side of my daughters Smart car that I was using. As he was cornering left his back end swung out and just gently hit the car. The driver stopped looked back at me and then signalled that he was going to continue going left which meant that he scraped past the car nudging it forward and causing more damage. What happened next was out of my control. I Need to share this so that people can understand what happened, 3 weeks before I had been diagnosed with Giant Cell Arteritis. I was prescribed 60milligrams a day of steroids. What I didn't know is that this can cause ROID RAGE. I had never heard of the word before and had NO control over it.... I approached the driver shouting at him "Did you not see my car " at that he closed his window and refused to talk to me for a few seconds., then a Centurian taxi driver came up to his window and he opened it saying "calm down woman" which incensed me.I continued raising my voice at him and he continued to close his window. When he opened it again I apologised asked for his details which he then went into his phone to get the information. what happened between that and the escalating row I can't remember apart from the fact that he wouldn't give his information he was more interested talking to the taxi driver than to me. so I took out my phone and went to take a photo of him. He immediately put his hand against the windscreen covering my phone. I went to the door pressed the button and he locked the door. I need to add that passengers were sat watching this unfold!. as I was ranting, he got of the bus and I got on the bus looking for a number or a badge any information that I could but their wasn't anything to identify the bus apart from its registration i got of the bus and he was talking to the taxi driver as I tried to take a photo of him again he went to grab my camera, as I grabbed it back he raised his hand. A boy shouted that he is going to hit her!.... at that my very shy Grandson who was sat waiting in the car ran and pushed the driver away from me. I must tell you that the driver was built like a rugby player. and my grandson is a very small shy boy. At this point I realised that I was verbally out of control. so I decided the only detail I could get was to take a picture of the registration of the bus. I took my grandson back to the car and left the driver and taxi driver discussing what ever it was they need to share! as we went back to the car the driver then came to take photo's of my car and as he did so I drove off giving him the V sign. { I know? a 65 year old woman out of control } I got home and reported the incident to the police, as I am and will always be Law abiding!!! I then reported it to Arleen Coaches. A week passed and I had heard nothing from their insurance company so I rang Arleen Coaches again. The person I spoke to said that the information had been passed on to the insurance company. As all of this was going on the dose of steroids that I was taking had been reduced which meant that the inner rage I had was lessening and I was beginning to feel normal. As normality set In I realised how abusive I had been to the driver and felt ashamed of my behaviour so I rang Arleen Coaches and spoke to Justin and explained to him about the Cranial Arteritis and the effect of a Huge dose of steroids. I gave him my apologies and asked him if he would pass my apologise on to the Bus driver who was away on leave.
another 2 weeks passed and I still hadn't heard anything so. I rang Arleen Coaches again. I spoke to Justin who said that they were contesting the incident????? How can they contest the incident? they can contest my behaviour but they Can Not contest that both vehicles were damaged at the back ends Right side of bus and Left side of car! Then their insurance company emailed telling me they were contesting so I rang them to ask how and why? The Centurian taxi driver witnessed for the bus driver. Hmmm?...... Apparently I was the one driving left not going straight ahead, and I scraped past the bus??????? REALY it is not physically possible to overtake a bus at traffic light and get through the bollards, light poles and anything else that is in the way. DO THEY THINK I AM MAD ?. Just because I have this condition and I am 65 years old does not mean I don't know when the TRUTH isn't being told.
You may be asking why I am posting this? The reason is that I want people to Know the Company Morals for Arleen Coaches and ER insurance, Centurian taxi driver, and how they can take advantage of a pensioner. Even though I am fully comprehensive insurance with 3rd party I now have to pay for the damage my self. That is not my Irk what disappoints me the most is dishonest people that Actually get away with it. Thanks Arleen Coaches, Thanks Centurian Taxi driver.

Our business is like no other in that we cannot please everyone all the time though we do try our best, as a family business we're passionate about what we do. Unfortunately the review left here isn't a true representation of our business and has more fiction to it than fact. This mainly fictitious review was left because Arleen Coaches wouldn't accept liability for an accident, an accident the insurance company deemed Ms de Glanville was at fault for. We'll do what we can to keep people happy but we cannot accept liability for accidents that aren't our fault regardless of the the third parties mental health, age, gender or casually racist views of foreign workers.
