Misleading service — duplicate charge and refusal to refund after clear mistake
I subscribed by mistake, thinking I was purchasing access to Perplexity AI, but it turned out to be a completely different service called AskGPT.app.
The website layout and wording are very misleading, and I was charged twice for the same plan.
I cancelled immediately after realizing the mistake and contacted support for a refund. They replied with a generic message refusing to refund, saying their policy does not cover “accidental purchases” or “change of mind.”
This is not a simple change of mind — it’s a clear case of deceptive presentation and duplicate billing.
I have already cancelled the subscription and filed a dispute with my bank. I hope others read this before subscribing, because this service is not affiliated with ChatGPT or Perplexity AI, despite how it looks.

Unauthorized Autorenewal Surcharge
I decided to pay $2 for the 7 day free trial use of the app on the 26.09.2025, unknowing to me I had accepted another offer of $19.99 for another feature on the app, I accepted the loss taking it as an error on my part.
Today being 03.10.2025, I was surcharged $39.99 again as auto renewal fee, of what exactly ?. I never authorized this transaction or service, even if I’d be charged auto renewal shouldn’t it take effect from a month after my previous transaction. All these debits within a week is unacceptable.
I decided to use the app for my research work, but I didn’t get value for my money, it kept taking me round circles.
I don’t recommend this app. I need a refund for the renewal deduction and an explanation

i signed up and paid an annual subscription and i wanted to ensure i wasn't on auto renew, there is no support and when you go to the settings section the only option is to cancel so i cancelled thinking my subscription would continue until the paid period finished but it cancelled straigh away after only two days of use.. terrible website, no support, 1 star in generous.

If I could rate 0 I would. I already have an account with another AI and when trying to log in I was taken to this company who said I wasn't registered and needed to subscribe. This confused me as I had already paid for my subscription with the other. I paid £69 as requested however within minutes realised that this was a different AI company. I asked immediately for a cancellation and refund as it was a genuine mistake. They have refused to refund so I now have no product and I am £69 down.

This product says it can Humanize AI text that can get AI text detector, and it is blatantly untrue. I tried it a few times after purchasing, all major AI trackers could overwhelmingly identify it as AI. When I asked for a refund after using it for less than 15 minutes on the basis that the product doesn’t work, they refused.
AND THEY DOUBLE CHARGED ME- I have proof and they still won’t refund me! I am now disputing with my bank, and reporting them on every website I can find. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
**Update- after many emails, I did get a refund for the double charge. I never got a refund for the original purchase, and I still believe this product does not do what it advertises it can.

total scammers. i was using chatgpt and decided to upgrade it. but the link sent me to askgpt but i didnt know at the time as they use a design very similar to chatgpt. i only discover it when i went to login and found the error. i asked for a refund but they replied with an upgrade offer. i have asked repeatedly for a refund but they are now ghosting me. be very careful as they use very sneaky ways and if you are not familiar with the chatgpt pro design its easy to get scammed
