Used to be fairly good and almost immediately but now they want bank statements proving where the money came from even though its less then £500 yes only £490 to transfer from my UK account into my own European account ffs.
Can't talk to someone on the phone and the WhatsApp they don't even chat ti you. In the end I transferred with x e with no hassle and it arrived within the hour. Time to move on from Atlantic. Can't even see where I can cancel my account. Has an email reply but its as if whoever wrote it didn't even read wha I wrote. All this hassle over four hundred and ninety pounds.

Wise is much better . Atlantic money portrait themselves of being better. Just another joke. I subscribed and then the headache started. A million questions while proof that the money is coming from a AAA bank. I didn't waste my time and moved on. Think 2 before you subscribe don't be fooled by the marketing ......

After a few attempts with other providers we were directed to ‘AM’, the process was easy and efficient with clear communication.

It took a month to sort out the correct bank transfer codes (why did my Canadian bank provide incorrect codes in the first place?). However, Atlantic Money stuck with it and communicated the problems to me on a timely basis.
It took 3 tries to get it right, but finally the funds arrived with an excellent exchange rate. This gave me an additional $200 compared to the exchange using my regular bank. If I had used it all last year it would have gained me over $2000.

We use it as business for suppliers payments. They do exactly what they say - fast and cost efficient. I hope it'll stay like that. 100% recommend it. Thank you.

Tried Money transfer as a first attempt, money transfer made as early as 5 A.M. in morning and paid extra fee for express money transfer and still nothing has been transferred. My 2 cents not worth a try. My time is wasted.

Please bring up more currency's request Ron to Romania.
Will be great if you launched Debit cards aswell.

I have exchanged 10k Euro to PLN, Atlantic Money had best exchange rate. Due to a fact it was my first exchange, I hasn’t paid 3€ fee (even with a fee exchange rate is excellent). I have received money after few days, exactly as it was shown on the site. In conclusion - I recommend and will use as long as exchange rate will be best 👌

We came across Atlantic Money (AM) via Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert. Having used the service a few times (INR & USD), the process is simple & excellent with AM providing regular stage updates through to successful transfer.
This is a commodity service with Atlantic providing better rates each time we compare to their competitors.
Will use again with confidence.

Fast & efficient. Account approved quickly. Used a few times already with no issues. Customer service is far better than other similar companies - especially the one that starts with W and ends with E.

I'm surprised more people aren't using and talking about Atlantic Money. I would have been wary if I hadn't found the app through Money Saving Expert as I've not about heard about them elsewhere and it does sound a bit too good to be true. For anything over a few hundred its a real game changer. I saved £85 on my first transfer when compared to the big exchange app everyone always recommends. For larger amounts the savings just get bigger and bigger as every other service charges a percentage rather than a set fee. Using the app is simple and straightforward and the money was transferred next day even on the free 2 day service. I can't see any reason to ever use another transfer service, unless your transferring less than a few hundred pounds/euros/dollars.

I must admit it was a huge leap of faith for me, but the app was recommended on the Martin Lewis website so I thought (dearly hoped!!!) that it was legit. They opened an account in Estonia for me (HUGE worry) and the French bank did a SEPA transfer - do note it takes up to 2 days which I didn't know and it did raise my blood pressure. But all was well, funds reached my UK account. I'll definitely use them again as the exchange rate was so much better than my bank.

After several years using another provider whilst holidaying in the EU I searched for an alternative due to increasing fees and restrictions on ATM withdrawals. I now live in an EU country whilst my income source remains in the UK and therefore needed a cost effective service for pretty regular transfers to fund living expenses. A quick calculation showed that the Atlantic Money rates with a fixed fee were significantly better value for the circa £5000 transfers I need to make. After familiarising myself with the App and process, my first transfer almost went wrong when my bank queried the transaction on potential fraud/scam grounds. However, this was quickly resolved with my bank and the transfer made. Since then, every transfer has happened with funds received a day before promised. The service works very well for me and I am pleased I decided to give them a try following reading something about them on a financial services review site.

I extensively researched comparison of rates and reviews for currency exchange, following my British bank taking an excessive £200 transaction fee, I decided to take a leap of faith and use 'Atlantic.Money' to transfer an inheritance to my British account.
This was (hands down) the best decision. They use a live FX rate, which Atlantic Money donot digress from.

Atlantic Money is an app, which you will need to set up with the usual legal proof of identity for large fund transfers.

This this company gives you the VERY best exchange rate which you confirm when ready and this can be cancelled, free, at any time up to time of transfer.

Your only charge is a £3 fee for transaction, with first transaction being free.

All comms are through WhatsApp, which understandably is not everyone's preference, however I've found they always return comms and extremely helpful and professional.

I have now used several times and would not hesitate to recommend, and will definitely use again.

I wanted to transfer a big amount of money to the US from Europe. In the end, I didn't get the money I was promised by Atlantic Money because they claimed that they didn't receive the money in time although I immediately sent it to them. In addition to that I received the payment much later than expected and it even got further delayed during the process (took them over a week in total). During the whole process, I only got very little information. Their app is very basic and I couldn't even double check the account number I should send the money to. It felt very uncomfortable looking at the big amount of money. I didn't feel treated well, they didn't even proper apologize.

Recently I've done a couple of international money transfers with them and both went smooth, my money arrived well before the date they were supposed to.
Their rate is the best around so yes, if you need to transfer money abroad, I would recommend using them

Thank you Atlantic for enabling us to achieve this dream. With your help we transferred the monies to a French bank account in a prompt and professional manner, saving us a whopping £2,200 in transaction fees it would of cost us through our UK High Street Bank had we agreed to there exchange rate at a meeting yesterday!!!

Every transfer worked as promised.
Transfer via app is extremely uncomplicated.
There are no hidden costs.
Customer service during office hours on what's app was fast, friendly and helpful.
However, there should be a way to look into all past transactions and print them for tax and other reasons. The pdfs I was sent on request only do only show the reception, not the sender account. Not helpful. The different steps of the transfer from sender account to receiver and via which inbetween banks should be listed.
Please set up a proper website. Phone app is not enough.

Absolutely delighted with the service, great business model.
My bank in uk, stoped my initial transfer, suspected fraud !. Atlantic Money, were straight on the case, very good comunications and sent me certification for my new account with them. Which was by a long way superior to the awful experiance from comunicating with my UK bank.
All resolved and transfer went through very quickly.
Having read the reviewes below, there seems to be a lot of unfair comment being made by individuals, with less than objective reasoning. It is a 5 star company, without any doubt.
Keep up the good work, and i am sure you will quickly hit the volume targets you will require to make this a sustainable business model.

I recently had to transfer some larger sums of money from Germany to the UK. The exchange rate I got with Atlantic money cannot be beaten; I saved a lot of money compared to doing a direct transfer via my bank, and also compared to other currency exchange services. I found the ID check in the app both easy to do and reassuring in terms of security provided. I only used the app for transfers below £25,000, as for larger amounts further checks would have been required - which is fine in principle but I just did not want the hassle. Overall, the process was quite straightforward; the only slight niggle was that because it took a few days for my money to arrive in my Atlantic Money account (based in Estonia) from my German bank account, the exchange rate was no longer fixed at this point. It was not a big problem for me as there wasn't much movement in the market at the time. It would be great, however, if Atlantic Money could add rate alerts and limit orders to make it easier to transfer at a certain time when the exchange rate is favourable. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience though, and it all worked smoothly, considering that it was all completely app-based and automated.
