Went to view the properties for my parents. Karl was well prepared, asked the right questions, and understood immediately what our requirements were. He couldn't have done more to show me a selection of different properties available and explain the events and dining options that are on offer.
The offering looks very good, and I shall be recommending to my parents.
Just tried to contact AV as they have sent a mail shot to my address but to my knowledge this person has never lived here. I wasnt surprised to that they didn't answer 3 times. If a company asking for your trust and business doesn't get your details right, it is not a company I would trust to look after me if I was retiring, would you? I think AV are wrong or just incompetent to send a mail shot to the wrong address without any appropriate checks. My first impression avoid this company. Companies behaving in this way should be fined and closed !! Or, have AV allowed somebody to register my address as their own name and not checked this? First impression avoid this company

Spoke to Head office they wanted me to confirm my address in order to remove it. I gave them the reference but they refused to update their records. Dont spend your money with this company...

Wendy was extremely helpful in all aspects of my enquiries.
Wendy, the agent, was very helpful and the lunch was appreciated. we are still considering alternative venues.
We moved into Audley Fairmile in April 2022. We enjoy life here in particular the village community. The spa is excellent and the team amazing. We know if there is a problem it will be attended to quickly. We feel the monthly fee is very reasonable in particular the heating costs are low because the apartments are very well insulated. The location is excellent being near shops, doctors surgery, airports, London and woods if you want exercise. The guests suites are excellent value we often use them when we go away.

In response to the quickie left by Audley admin:
I feel it is pertinent to state, again, that I will not be attending a meeting with one of the aggressors whose behaviour prompted my original expression of concern.
Perhaps the person de as long with this did not read the emails ?
At the very least I would expect the organisation to do what they promised, ie, for the person who listened originally to my concerns, to respond to me directly. She had failed to do this despite my sending several emails. This tells me something of how the organisation view my concerns- ie, NO COMMENT…
I’m shocked by the lack of professionalism in addition to this rather passive aggressive behaviour, on top of the blatantly aggressive behaviour I initially encountered. Further disappointment.. increases concerns for the very vulnerable people in their care.
I have tried my best to address this with the Audley Villages directly, but as they have failed to adequately address concerns raised, I have no choice but to take my concerns outside of this organisation.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all concerns seriously and are committed to providing a positive and respectful experience for everyone who visits or lives at our retirement community.
Our General Manager invited you to meet on 10th November to discuss your concerns directly following a call with our Regional Director; unfortunately, this meeting did not take place. However, our invitation for a complimentary afternoon tea still stands, should you wish to visit and meet with the General Manager.
We remain committed to maintaining a professional and considerate environment for both owners and visitors.
My next door neighbour and family friend had expressed an interest in Audley Village retirement home. We decided to take her there and booked for afternoon tea. place itself is nicely decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere. tea was nicely presented although the usual description was omitted Some scones were among the fare with cream Now in a party of five people one individual size jar of jam is not going to work No butter for the scones. We asked for it and were told it was in the freezer. The less than helpful server then on being pressed went to to the kitchen and returned with small and inadequate bowl of butter with the explanation .Thats the best the Chef can do. My neighbour remarked I don’t think I would like to put up with that fiasco every day

Attentive, helpful, flexible staff.
No pressure salespeople.
It’s a big move for us and we need time to ensure we don’t make a mistake of any sort. So far we’re very positive about the prospect of moving.
So things are looking good.

Very welcoming and well informed staff. Useful guided tour of the facilities followed by a chat. Talked through all the information required in a transparent and straightforward way. No hard selling. Provided a useful brochure / information pack. Also provided coffee and lunch in the restaurant which was an unexpected treat.

Good company with nice premises and pleasant staff.
Properties appear to be slightly small after owning a fairly large house and downsizing to suit may be difficult.

Visited Audley Clevedon (Ilkley) to assess suitability for our retirement housing. Rachel took me to see 3 properties. The properties, grounds and the Audley Club were impressive. Rachel could not have been more helpful. All my many questions were answered and I was given a comprehensive package of information to take away.
Rachel was so lovely- friendly, helpful and supportive.
Thank you for a great pre purchase visit. I intend to return with my partner with the intention of purchasing a property in the near future.

The leisure club opened 18 months ago just as I retired - perfect timing!! I have been swimming religiously three times a week since then and absolutely love it. The pool is so calming and always the right temperature. It's never too busy. I enjoy a lovely sauna after my swim, and there's also a steam room. The showers, changing rooms and lockers are ideal. There is also a gym, but I'm not a gym bunny so don't really use it. My experiences of eating at the adjoining restaurant are all really good too. Just fits the bill perfectly for me!!!
