My experience with this agent has been extremely disappointing. The sale was agreed in early May, but delays and poor communication meant that by late July, very little progress had been made.

I was never told that the original buyer hadn’t applied for local searches—something that directly contributed to further delays when a new buyer was found. Despite reassurances, updates were infrequent and vague, and I had to chase the agent constantly for basic information.

Even after the new buyer was introduced, the process remained slow and reactive. Promises to speed things up weren’t followed through, and there was a clear lack of urgency throughout.

For a supposedly professional service, I expected far better client care, transparency, and proactive management. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience

Chris is a nice and professional person. We've rented a house almost 9 years ago with him and lived there for the entire time. Every time we asked or needed something, he was prompt and helpful. I highly recommend him as a renting agent.

Does this company still exist or have they once again changed their name? I'll be very careful dealing with these cowboys that are just after their agency fees

I've recently acquired a tenancy through Balmer Wilcock. My experience with the lettings team was excellent. From the initial viewing to its completion. Always knowledgeable, professional and understanding. Was given help throughout the process. I envisaged a stressful few weeks and it was completely the opposite.

I recently used Balmer Wilcock to sell our house after struggling with another estate agent. They were excellent to deal with from the beginning to end. They set up a stunning 3D tour of the house and great photos, kept me updated regarding viewings and advised me about the price to ask. No call was too much trouble and a big thanks to a Becca for pulling out all the stops. Once under offer it went to a different team to take it through to completion. Angela was top class in liaising with our buyers and all the solicitors in the chain. She even dealt with our vendor’s estate agent who commented about how friendly and efficient she was. On the day of completion there was a mistake caused by a solicitor earlier in the chain.
