Ben Marriott is a staple in the Youtube University motion design rotation for a reason! His courses bring the same thoughtfulness and easy to follow thoroughness you get from the content on his channel, but are really pushed to the next level with the depth afforded by a multi-session format.

I had a fantastic experience with the Master Motion Design course when it first came out, and that made it an easy choice to also sign up for the Design Breakthrough series when that was launched. I still apply the principles I learned in both courses to my current work multiple years later, the principles felt flexible enough to apply to different animation styles, and the access to both other artists taking the class + feedback from professional motion designers was a great added feature to an already well thought out series of lessons. Not to mention the permanent access to the course materials means you can (and I do) revisit whenever you want. Having taken other online motion design and animation courses through places like MDS, this felt like a super bang-for-your-buck opportunity to learn from a great designer and artist.

This was my first ever course in Motion Design, and I ended up even getting Ben's Graphic Design course as well! I promise you, I looked at all the different courses out there, and I ended up choosing Ben's courses because I fell in love with his amazing blend of Design and Animation techniques. If you're having second thoughts, I can assure you, it was worth every single cent. If you're REALLY unsure, you can check out Ben's Youtube channel! Tons of amazing sources there. Because of his courses, I actually got hired on a couple of jobs who really liked my animations as well!! He wont just teach you how to make something move, he'll teach how to make that thing look aesthetic first, then teach you how to make it move smoothly, then add extra *flares* on top of it to make it even more than perfect.

This course offers a great combination of approach, technique, knowledge, and real experience.

I’ve been following Ben for many years, and I’ve even reached out to him a few times; he always responded, which I truly appreciated.

I’ve taken several online art classes, and I believe learning in this field is very subjective. Personally, I purchased the all-in-one bundle. I haven’t completed all of it yet, but so far, his teaching style, methodology, and the way he explains tools are top-notch.

My schedule is extremely tight, so I tend to prefer live classes that I can fit into my routine more forcefully. This might be why I haven’t finished all the content yet.

Overall, it’s highly educational and genuinely enjoyable. Regardless of your level, I believe you’ll learn a lot.

Ben Marriott's teaching is top tier! Great taste, great advice, explained in a easy-to-follow way. I have learned a lot from doing the Motion Foundation and Master Motion Design courses and I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to learn motion design.

I had taken several animation courses before, but I always struggled until I discovered Ben Marriott’s courses. After purchasing his three courses, I realized the problem wasn’t me; it was the teaching method. In just a few weeks, my fear of After Effects disappeared.

Ben explains concepts in a crystal-clear and well-structured way. He focuses not only on how to animate, but also on why things work the way they do. His teaching style makes learning genuinely enjoyable, especially with his charming sense of humor. Thanks to his courses, I finally felt confident enough to take on animation projects, as Ben teaches the entire process, which gave me the confidence I needed.

I wish I had found his courses at the beginning of my journey. That would have saved me a lot of frustration. At one point, I even gave up because I thought I would never learn animation. I will be eternally grateful for all the knowledge Ben shares in his courses. You can tell how knowledgeable he is by the fact that he explains things so simply and clearly.

Ben Marriott is excellent at what he does. I wanted to learn the more hand crafted side of After Effects and adding texture to upgrade my work and that is what I got. There are many how to courses out there for the general workings of After Effects and it's filters but you get the artistic mindset attacking the program with Ben. I am only a little bit into the courses I signed up for and am already excited to add the knowledge I gained to my own work. If you like what Ben does and you are wondering if the courses are worth it, I would give that a big yes!

This is the best tutorial I have found for clearly explaining the basics of how Adobe AfterEffects works while still inspiring high quality content creation. He goes from basic to advanced in simple clear language. I bought the whole course and love that I can take a break than come back, revisit lessons and then move on to more advanced work.

Ben's courses have really helped me in my journey to improve my skills in After Effects! The way he teaches in YouTube has always been very helpful and easy to follow, and it is no different in his courses.

All throughout, he guides you throughout the process of being able to create certain projects, based on the lesson for the week. He would also introduce many tips and tricks that I never even knew you could do in After Effects. Some of it can be a little intimidating or confusing, but he always ensures you can follow every step of the way. The assignments leave a lot of flexibility for you to experiment and grow your skills, as well. I've become a lot more confident in using After Effects (and Illustrator as well, in my case), and has made me a better animator and illustrator over time.

Whether for professional or personal development, I recommend his courses! You earn lifetime access to everything, and you can learn at your own pace, so there's no rush or pressure in improving your skills and trying out what's new.

I had always wanted to improve my Motion Design skills, but it wasn't possible at the schools in my area, either they didn't offer it, or the prices were outrageous for what you actually got.
