Ben is one of the nicest person I ever speak with.
I wasn’t sure which course was actually good for me, he took the time to review some of my previous works so I could get the best of the training.
The course itself was a blast, the reviews with everyone and from professionals was the best.
From Youtube to the world
I first found Ben Marriott through YouTube, and I immediately liked how clear and straight to the point his videos are. He explains things in a really simple way, which makes even the more complex motion design stuff easy to follow.
After watching his free content, I ended up buying one of his courses. I actually only started going through it properly and consistently this year, a few years after my purchase, but I’m still really glad I got it.
What I like most is how he breaks everything down into simple, step-by-step processes. It never feels overwhelming, and it’s easy to keep up and actually learn.
Overall, I’m super happy with the course and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn motion design without all the confusion.

⸻
I am deeply grateful to Ben Marriott for his outstanding courses and his genuine dedication to helping those who love art and animation grow as animators. His passion for teaching shines through in every lesson, making complex tools and concepts easy to understand.
Ben has a unique ability to explain ideas in a dynamic, clear, and engaging way. Thanks to his guidance, learning becomes an enjoyable and inspiring experience. He breaks down workflows with precision, allowing students to become more fluid in their creative process and achieve truly professional results.
I highly recommend his courses to anyone looking to elevate their skills and deepen their understanding of animation.
I give it 100 out of 100
I’m a graphic designer who wanted to expand my skill set, so I started learning After Effects through free YouTube videos. That’s how I came across Ben’s tutorials. I really love the way he explains every step and the reasoning behind it. It’s not just about following instructions, he helps you understand the mechanisms behind the process.
Recently, I got some 2D animation freelance gigs by chance, and I knew it's time to level up with some proper training. After doing some research and reading reviews on other forums, I decided to join Ben’s Motion Foundation course.
I’m glad I did, because I’ve learned so much from him. Here are a few things that stood out:
Hard skills. The way he approaches animation is simple yet efficient. There are many ways to achieve the same effect, but he always chooses the easiest and most logical one, and that mindset is gold.
Attention to detail. Motion design is all about how precisely you animate things. Those tiny tweaks and experiments really add up. Ben teaches you how to notice the little movement and improve those small 1% details that take your animation to the next level.
Tidiness. He emphasizes the importance of labeling, color coding and organizing your workspace. These habits make a huge difference, especially when projects get more complex. Ever since I adopted his system, my workflow has become so much smoother, and saved me a lot of time!
Assignments. Every week comes with a new assignment. You can either follow his demo exactly or use a different graphic he prepared to finish the assignment. Or you can go wild and use the same techniques to create something totally different. I usually go for the last option because it pushes me out of my comfort zone and I’ve grown a lot because of that.
I’m only halfway through the course, but I can already see a big improvement between my first and third client projects. My animation pacing is better, transitions feel smoother, and I’m working much faster.
Highly recommend Ben’s Motion Foundation course!
Helped me to transition from print into motion design
I was upgrading my skillset from primarily print background to motion / digital. The course made it easy to pick up motion skills which I now use on a daily basis in a professional (and personal) capacity.

Ben's courses have always been so helpful in growing my After Effects skill set. Easy to follow, clear instructions and a nice level of challenge to master the next level!
Common Sense applied to AE Animation
I’ve been going through Ben Marriott’s After Effects animation course and it’s been really solid.
It’s not just about effects or tricks. It really focuses on the principles behind good animation and how to make things move with more purpose, clarity, and style.
Super clear teaching, easy to follow, and full of useful insights you can actually apply right away in AE.
Really recommend it for anyone wanting to level up their motion work.
Amazing Customer Service, very reliable!
I'm very satisfied with Ben's courses, I took all three of them. But what makes his courses speical isn't just the course itself, it's Ben's prompt customer service. He's always so quick to answer my questions, and can always come up with a solution to my problem. I honestly think he's great at giving excellent customer service, very honest and reliable guy too. I feel this is very important when buying stuff online. That's why I went back for more of his courses just because his stuff is great and you know he's always there. Thank you, Ben Marriott.
Desing for motion
I took the Design for Motion course in 2024. It's one of the best course that I ever made. A loot of great advices, excellent techniques and a great great final result. I was starting motion at that time, I animated the style frames of that course and today that animation is still one of my favourite pieces that I've ever done.
AND a HUGE PLUS: the bonus!!! I got access to Loop animation workshop, essential textures workshop, animating transitions workshop and advanced textures workshop. The workshops actually make all my animations took a whole new level. I'll always be grateful to Ben for teach me so many things. Any course completely worth every cent.
I'm an experienced motion graphics…
I'm an experienced motion graphics artist and I found this course to be very helpful. It even explained a few little work arounds to some buggy things in AE that I hadn't thought of. I often recommend Ben Marriott courses to my college students.
Ben is an expert and great teacher
Ben is an expert and great teacher. I’ve learned so much from his YouTube tutorials and paid courses over the years, that I can now consider myself an expert too! I’m able to use tools like after effects effortlessly in my workflow as a self employed artist and game designer. A lot of that is thanks to Ben!
More than just After Effects — design thinking included
I'm around a third of the way through both Master Motion Design and Design Breakthrough, and both courses are excellent. What sets Ben apart as a teacher is that he doesn't just cover the technical side of After Effects — he also brings a strong sense of design, form and illustration to everything he teaches. You notice it in the way he explains his choices: it goes beyond 'how', it's always also about 'why'. A must for anyone who wants to grow seriously as a motion designer.
