Bestbuy credit card authentication is terrible

I have a Bestbuy purchase history for personal and corporate purchases going back around 15 years. I've never had issues purchasing with corporate or personal credit cards until the last 4 months. I tried to purchase 2 laptops around 4 months ago and they said my corporate credit card information was wrong. I had just purchased something from them 1 week before and 2 weeks before that with my autofilled card information, they could not tell me what was wrong. Then yesterday with my personal card with details easy to confirm they said they were wrong. I spoke with the bank and they said there is nothing wrong with it from their and my side all the details are correct. After around 50K of purchases from them over the years they are dead to me. With the same credit card details I was able to purchase from CanadaComputers without issue.

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Best Buy. My order #1028577499 for a Sony Alpha A6700 with 16-50mm lens was suddenly cancelled with the explanation that the payment method was “not successful.” This makes absolutely no sense because I used the exact same payment method earlier at the Burlington branch to purchase another item without any issue.

The explanation provided is simply unacceptable and feels like a generic excuse. What makes this even more frustrating is that the item is now no longer showing in stock, which strongly gives the impression that my order may have been cancelled so the product could be sold to someone else in store.

Customers should not have their confirmed orders cancelled for vague or contradictory reasons, especially when payment methods have already been proven to work. This experience shows a serious lack of transparency and reliability in Best Buy’s ordering system and customer service.

Very frustrating experience and extremely disappointing from a retailer I expected better from. I will seriously reconsider purchasing from Best Buy in the future.

Disappointing experience – Quality control is non-existent!

I have been a loyal customer for a long time, but I am officially losing faith in Best Buy. My recent purchase of a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL has been a complete nightmare. While I bought it through their platform, it was fulfilled by a partner, and it’s clear that Best Buy is not vetting who they allow to sell here.'' Gorecell market "

​The phone was supposed to be brand new, but within just 2–3 days, it started failing:
​System Freezes: The phone constantly hangs and becomes unresponsive.
​Biometrics Failure: The fingerprint sensor rarely works, making it a hassle to even unlock the device.
​Unresponsive Touchscreen: The sensor doesn't always register my inputs.
​Bizarre Software Glitches: In apps like WhatsApp, the keyboard randomly appears at the top of the screen instead of the bottom.
​It is deeply concerning that Best Buy associates its brand with partners who ship defective merchandise. If this is the standard of quality they allow on their website, I now have serious doubts about whether I should buy anything from Best Buy at all. Is their own inventory just as unreliable?
​This experience has been a massive waste of time and money. I expected a premium flagship device, but I received a lemon. Be very careful when buying from this platform.

the best experience I every had with a sales person

review of associate:
I would like to give a 10stars to the associate Huzaifah.
He was Courteous, Knowledgably and very polite and was very helpful.
I had a gift certificate for a washer and I taught it was going to difficult to sort out. But Huzaifah made it so easy, that make me want to come back to shop at Bestbuy.Thanks Huzaifah.

Insignia, owned by Best Buy not honouring warranty

I never post things like this, but at this point I don’t know what else to do.

We purchased an Insignia washing machine from Best Buy, delivered December 3. By February 10, just over two months later, it stopped spinning completely.

Since then, I have called almost every single day. Every time, I’m given the same scripted response: “We’re escalating this. Please wait 24–48 hours.”

It has now been almost THREE WEEKS of waiting with no repair, no replacement, and no real update.

We also paid for Geek Squad coverage, which so far has made absolutely no difference in getting this resolved.

A washing machine is not a luxury item, it’s a basic household necessity. Almost three weeks without a working machine and no clear resolution is unacceptable.

Best Buy Canada please step up and make this right. Exchange or refund ASAP is the only solution because a new belt is out of stock and you knew that 2.5 weeks ago.

If anyone has advice on how to get actual action from Best Buy, I’m open to suggestions.

Furious

Furious. Chose Best Buy online as an alternative to Amazon, and the item I ordered from Best Buy arrived in Amazon Prime packaging. Best Buy did not disclose that they are ordering from a company I have moral and ethical reasons not to give my money to. Will not use Best Buy anymore, either. They should be disclosing where their items are coming from.

I wish I’d read reviews before I ordered from them - it’s was actually a third party through Best Buy. They say on their website that they will price match but this is not true. I did not receive a reply from the emails I sent about the same printer I found for $30 less. Tried to cancel order, but no reply - no offer to discount to match price and sent printer anyway. Terrible customer service

Worst ever service OnLine BestBuy Marketplace

Worst ever service OnLine BestBuy Marketplace. I receive defective parcel and request a return. Returns have to be direct to the Marketplace place . They don't respond to your demand as well as you can't get any proof of message sending.
BestBuy has to get out of Marketplace because it's not neither their business nor their product.

My opinion don't try to buy from Bestbuy ONLINE.

Best Buy online pretends there is a third party seller (Nexus freight solutions), but it's a scam. Do not give them money!! They will take your money and receive nothing. They do this multiple times. Look at nexus freight solutions reviews!!! Best Buy does nothing to get your money $1100 back!!!

Paid for Pixel 10 pro Received Pixel 10

Received the wrong product. The only pro aspect of the product received was a sku sticker on the outer sleeve. This was an Internet purchase.
Customer service did not offer any solution. Fraudulent or erroneous...either way, I'm left with the burden of having to sue as remedy. I can no longer recommend this seller.

I would like thank Brian and his Geek Squad team from the Pointe Claire , Quebec store. They were professional and helpful. They help change a part on my Dyson Vacuum. Brian was patient and friendly while dealing with the issue.
I truly appreciated their service.

Unresponsive Management Team

I purchased a computer from Best Buy Canada, fulfilled by PC Refresh. Unfortunately, the wrong component was shipped, making the system unusable and causing measurable business loss.

I contacted customer support multiple times, engaged the executive resolution team, and even filed a BBB complaint, but I have not received a meaningful response.

I hope this review encourages Best Buy Canada to respond constructively and resolve issues in a timely and fair manner.

No Cell Phone, No purchase, What a Pain!!

Canada still has many parts of it's country that does not have cell service, and so I do not have a cell phone. I can no longer make purchases with Best Buy because they will not send a 2 step verification code to my landline or to my email. Tight security here, more so than even the banks. Personally, I think the individual should have a choice as to how they would like the security setting set on their accounts. Stop forcing this change please, it should be the customers choice to shop at risk. This is discrimination!

Worst Business practice

I live in Canada and I bought an air fryer from bestbuy back then and there was an recall, instead of a refund, bestbuy issued me a gift card. When I tried to use the gift card, it had zero balance. I called bestbuy toll free number and the customer service rep was able to indicate someone redeem the gift card online from a country I don't live in. They acknowledge the gift card was stole and ensured me that I will get my balance back and asked me to call the Canadian line to get that resolved. When I called the Canadian line, the rep on the phone told me there is nothing they can do and refuse to do anything at all. She told me to call the police because it's not their responsibility. This is the worst business, if you issue a refund to my credit card from the recall I would not have to deal with all this, not only I did not get a refund from the recall, I had to spend hours talking to customer rep only to be told to call the police at the end. I will never buy anything from this business again and will for sure share this story online.

BE WARE of best buy.ca

I ordered a computer from best buy.ca - the next day, after my credit card was charged I received an email stating that the computer I ordered is not available. They offered me a different model instead, which I didn’t want - no apologies, no offer to compensate their mistake, just a rude matter of fact attitude. No business should be charging you for an item they don’t even have let alone providing the option to purchase it. Unfortunately this has set me back on finding a computer which I need urgently. Sooooo frustrating!

Bought a mac on their marketplace web platform. They reply saying they did not have the one i ordered and try to give me a "Upgraded"mac for the same price but 2020 M1 Pro chip when The pro chip only came out in 2021....The dude who answered never touch a mac of his life ...pure incompetence
