We love our new blinds . Total black out as described. A bit tricky to fit at first but once you work it out is fine . We watched the video as well as reading the instructions

I was looking for blackout blinds for my own room and the baby’s! Really happy with them and great for their nap during the day having such a dark room. I also got the insurance which gave us peace of mind. 5 stars all round!

Whist the blind is good quality, the surround - despite fitting perfectly- lets light through around the sides, which is disappointing given the price.

Great looking product, based on the marketing. Free samples - good! But when you start pricing things up the price quickly goes up, more than expected.

We finally fitted the two blinds earlier today. We had planned to do it on Sunday but found that the uprights were too long.We were left with 2 options cut them down ourselves or send them back, but we thought if we did that they wouldn't get installed for Christmas. We checked the measurements that I had sent through and they were correct BUT these did not take into fact that a piece of wood had to be stuck on the underside of the recess which meant they were too long ...only 3-4 mm but enough to have to shorten them.
After cutting they fitted perfectly but it looked as if they hadn't been cut by Bloc out prior to being delivered. However they now fit well and as we already had bought one earlier and it fitted perfectly we thought it must just have been a one off error. They do look great now.

Starting with the positive. 1. Now the blind fits, it’s a great product and feels good quality and does provide what it says. 2. Customer service team were good and ordered the remake of our blind quickly and communication of this remake was excellent.
Now for the negatives… we thankfully ordered the insurance incase you measure wrong. The instructions on how to measure really do not stress how important it is to get the measurements right to the millimetre! There really is no margin for error. I think this needs to be stressed when ordering and in the measuring guide. And if you are unsure, round measurements down not up.
When we measured the second time around we used tape and then measured the tape to ensure it was completely accurate.
The fitting when measured right, is easy to fit, great quality and there is barely any light breakthrough.
Would I order again, no.. it’s too expensive and risky. A recess window is never going to be made perfectly therefore getting a blind to fit in the recess is going to be hard. And if it didn’t fit the second time around we would have wasted £230.

Definitely worth the money! Arrived quicker than expected,. easy to install,.room completely blacked out now no light! No need for curtains, and at last now sleeping during day much better, after nightshifts quality material

Very good and easy to fit- blocks out all the light!

Bought this Bloc blind after searching for complete bloc out after developer installed street light 4m from bedroom window. You could literally sit up in bed and read a book even with black out curtains. The bloc out blind is brilliant totally blocks out any light. Darkness is back in my life. Was so easy to install too delivery took about two weeks. I’m so glad I found bloc out during an internet search recommended highly. Even daylight is blocked out. If you’re a night worker who sleeps during the day then you definitely need bloc out.

I was hopeful when I thought I’d finally found a system to black out the room for my baby to sleep but like most other systems, it hasn’t worked. The light comes in round the edges and at the bottom and when adjusted as told when I rang up, the light will just come from somewhere else.

Bought blocout blinds for my daughter’s room. Went for a neutral colour so we wouldn’t have to change blinds regardless of colour scheme. They arrived within 3 weeks and were quite easy to assemble and put up. There is no snippet of light coming through the blinds or even at the joints/gaps. We have used them for about a month now and so far so good. The pull and tilt method to move the blinds up and down is simple to use. I would consider them an expensive blind but they seem to do exactly as stated and hopefully will last a long time. Very happy with my purchase.

The blackout blind is excellent. We purchased one from another company, but replaced it with a BlocOut. It was annoying not to have discovered them sooner.
