Ordered blinds for three different bedrooms including one for the baby. Really impressed with the quality and more importantly the blackout! Really helped with my own sleep and the little ones.

I've bought a blind on the 20th of October, and it arrived 10 days later, I installed it at the beginning of November and on 23th of November I contacted them becouse I was struggling to open it, on the 26th of October they asked me for a video and I sent it the same day, on the 8th of December I've asked them for a reply to my previous email and on the 9th they said that they haven't received any video from me and I've send them again the video and the screenshot proving that the video was send on 26th of October...
So, last week they shipped me some parts, and I got the brakes installed on December 13th, but honestly, it didn't make a difference. I even sent them a photo of the old parts along with a video showing that things weren't any better, all on the same day. And get this – on December 16th, the blind just quit working and now it's completely stuck! I can’t even open it, on the 18th of December everything got sorted so I'm going to change the review from 1* to 4*, I would actually give them 3,5* because in my opinion it took a while to get sorted.

Great product, easy installation and really does block all light.

Fantastic customer service (liaised with Eimear).

I ordered a blocout blind and took out the measurement insurance. My measurement was off by a few mm and without charge within days they collected the cassette and resized it to the new measurement.

When the product was returned there was a very small tear in the fabric (around 1mm), after contacting them Blocout immediately offered a replacement or a discount on the product, as I had installed the blind I opted for the discount.

The product is great and works really well in our child’s bedroom.

I was looking forward to seeing this product in my bedroom, however it has been a complete waste of money for me. I provided my window measurements during the order process. The width of my window being 1180 mm across, same sizes across top, middle and bottom. In the pack you recieve 3 batons to fix to your window, 1 at each side and 1 at the top. The batons at the side have a “guide dog” sticking out at the top. After you’ve installed these you then are supposed to slide the cassette into these “guide dog” This is where I found a problem, the cassette is too wide to fit into these. I measured the cassette and it is 1180mm, but as these guide dogs stick out from the frame you are supposed to be able to slide the cassette onto them, but my cassette is too wide, the silver round housing which encloses your blind when it is retracted is catching on the guide dog, it being slightly too long to push into place. Really disappointed, in summary, I’d say this product promises to be excellent and may well be for many people, but you’re taking a big risk that it might not fit, which was the case for me and so has been a complete waste of money unfortunately.

A wee bit awkward to size across the 6 dimensions, but easy to fit

Some confusion over courier delivery but arrived ok in the end.
Fitting is a bit fiddly and some trimming of strips required, but end result very effective.

Absolutely amazed with these blackouts!
I was sceptical before buying, as I came across the ad on Instagram, but they are a total game changer. Delivery was fast and well-packed, installation was quick and straightforward, everything fits perfectly - and the effect is incredible. Total blackout, they look fantastic, and the room is noticeably warmer.

The blind really does do 100% blackout.

Very easy to deal with & easy to install.

Definitely a black out curtain. Great experience and fast delivery. I could ordered samples. The measurement and buying process were easy and intuitive. My curtain was 1700mm wide so, I highly recommend to measure and install with 2 people. I needed to take the mastic around the bottom and resealed, but I was aware before order them. However, the curtain itself is not 100% blackout because light can get through the side ends of the handle rail, but I had a second curtain already out the recess that blocks the residual light. I would buy it again definitely. The only downside is the need of screw through the windowsill on each side.

I’ve had a terrible experience with BlocOut from start to finish. I’m doubt I’m the only one - trying to warn people (politely) on social media has led to me being blocked and comments deleted. AVOID- don’t trust the lack of negative comments!

The first blind they sent didn’t fit, but I had paid for the insurance, so I followed their process for a remake. The communication was appalling — I had to chase repeatedly just to get basic updates and confirmation of dates.

When the replacement blind was finally installed, it immediately became clear there was a fault. It kept sticking, wouldn’t pull down properly and wouldn’t retract. Thinking the issue might be with my own installation, I took it down, triple-checked every measurement and step, and reinstalled it again. The exact same problem happened — the mechanism consistently jams and fails to operate.

I contacted BlocOut to request a refund for what is clearly a faulty product. Instead of resolving the issue, they demanded “evidence”. I sent a video showing the blind jamming, which I had to film one-handed while trying to operate it. They are now claiming that my video — taken purely to demonstrate the fault — shows that I damaged the product. This is completely untrue and feels like an excuse to avoid honouring consumer rights.

After spending money on insurance, chasing repeatedly, reinstalling the blind multiple times, and providing video evidence, I’m now being blamed for a fault that was present from the start.

Very disappointing service and an extremely frustrating experience. I would not recommend.

Delivered when expected, straightforward to install, remote works well. Excellent blackout blind that delivers the best sleep I've had for years.
