Our bike-boat adventure from
Mantua to Venice was a trip of a lifetime for us!! Everything about our week in Italy was awesome!!!! Our guide, Daniella, was attentive, kind, knowledgeable and lead well with Adrianno and Mario. Our cooks, Dani and Francesco, prepared delicious creative food. I have celiacs and must eat gluten free. Every meal they beautifully prepared GF options for me. The captain, Jano, and the engineer, Samuele, did a great job running the beautiful Ave Maria. We will never forget our amazing trip!!

Three things made our Bike and Boat trip on the Moselle River fabulous. First, the flexibility of the headquarters and onboard staff dealing with low water on the Rhine and building a replacement route on the fly. Great teamwork, and nice job on the communication\ of changes! Second, the onboard experience was amazing. Can‘t say enough good things about the service staff, and the awesome kitchen team that prepared excellent meals; the 4 course dinners were wonderful. Finally, the cycling guides that helped us enjoy the riding were a pleasure. Both Andreas and Rene went the extra mile to help us have fun and they shared a lot of insider ideas, not to mention their flexibility adapting to a re-worked trip on the fly. We were supposed to cruise and cycle the Rhine and Moselle for a week, but low water on the Rhine prohibited cruising. In the end, our group of 4 couples could not have been happier with the route along the Moselle. My one quibble is the wine onboard. We cruised one of the premier wine regions of Europe, but the standard wines onboard were from Spain…Go Green and source local wine! (We did manage to find plenty of great Moselle wines, though)

I love the 3 boat bike tours I’ve been on. I love the quality of the food that’s served in the morning and evening. I love biking to see the small towns along the water roots that otherwise would be impossible to visit by car or even vacation. I love being able to move all day long. The bikes are a fabulous quality; they allow you to sit upright, preserving your spinal form making it easy to bike for prolonged periods. The crew is fantastically, supportive and helpful and moving the bikes to the shore, preparing them for your ride.

The guides, the crew and the quality of the bike. Rooms very clean and staff always helpful. The daily tours were adapted depending on the weather, it was fantastic.Tip: bring a plastic box to pack one sandwich for your lunch, this way it stays intact in your travel bike bag.

Excellent tour leader. Fabulous crew. A great cycling trip throygh Belgium and the Netherlands.

Guidance was good, food was good, beautiful route,even though Budapest was by bus. They did the best they could under the circumstances

Fantastic biking experience through marvellous landscapes, well organised, easy for self-guided tours. Experience on board was hectic, with tight schedules for eating times or embarking/disembarking, creating a hectic atmosphere. Sad for a holiday, and for the feeling of not being welcome. Too much industrialisation of procedures, too much insistinc on tips recommendation, and many extras to be paid on top of booking fee. Stay away from the drinks packages, too many drinks are excluded!

The ride leader was always very positive and kept a good pace.
The chef had excellent choices and made great meals.
The captain and mate were always on time and engaging.

It was close to perfect. There were only 2 negatives.

One was the disappointment not making it to Slovakia or Hungary. (Not the company’s fault with the lack of water). And honestly they did a fabulous job rerouting so we could bike every day.

The only other disappointment was having to ride a size M bike. My friend is 5 foot and I’m 5’2. She fell at least 4 times because the bike was very much too big. For me, I was very careful but still had some sketchy stops.

I really enjoyed the whole experience. The bikes were good quality, the region was scenic, the staff were great.

Our tour agent, Virginia, was great. She always responded quickly and efficiently. And she was always pleasant to work with.

I was so disappointed that Mother Nature interfered with what would have been a great trip and look forward to next year!

The crew, the itinerary, the cabin, the food , the condition of the bikes /helmets/bags and the fellow passengers all contributed to a memorable sailing/biking experience .

Biking along windswept dunes covered in heather. Cottages with lace curtains and Delft touches with hollyhocks and fields of sunflowers and cows and sheep and goats and sheep and canals with little bridges. All very twee .

The staff were amazing! Food was great! The only thing I’ll get different for my next boat bike tour is a smaller bike!

The friendly staff and the food made our trip great. The room we slept in was very small but the beds were quite comfortable. Pity we were not able to cycle to Eperney on the last full day of the trip. Chef’s food was to die for. 100% fresh and new every day.

Boat was clean, comfortable and inviting. We felt very much at home the moment we came on board. Gezellig!
The staff were first rate, most excellent all around.
Hielke, the captain was engaging and an all around great leader. Albert was an excellent first-mate, always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
Steven, the chef provided us with a wonderful and varied culinary experience.
Shirley and Gabriela were sweet and kind and served us so well in various capacities throughout the week.
Andre and Hans were top notch bike tour leaders, the routes were excellent, with many stops and interesting history and stories along the way. We saw so much and learned new and interesting things every day.
Thanks so much to the entire crew, we really didn't want it to end.

This was our first Boat Bike Tour. It met or exceeded all of our expectations. We are already planning our next trip. The Netherlands is windy so be sure to take the ebike upgrade.

Everything was explained well, expectations were clear, and staff was efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Loved the boat bike your experience!! It was well planned, the food was amazing, accommodations were very nice! It will be hard to beat this trip!!

We enjoyed riding on scenic bike paths and back roads in Holland and Belgium and visiting cities like Gent and Bruge. Liked the flexibility to ride using the route tools. Friendly supportive crew, good food, and meeting others riders from around the world.
