I was skeptical about using Booksy. Well, I really didn't want to pay monthly for something I can do myself. I must say that Booksy is really great. My clients are satisfied, and the reports are very... See more

They host threatening businesses
I got scammed from a barber shop on their platform.
They didn't help me with refund.
The barbershop threatened to kill me.
They continue promoting the barbershop.
Don't trust booksy. They are business friendly. Not consumer friendly.
Can’t get registered at all
Can’t get registered at all. Tried multiple times. First the app asks to send the code to my email, then fails to do it, ask to solve numerous puzzles, then send the code to your phone, then puzzles again, and no code arrives!
Like how many hoops does your user need to jump. Worst user experience ever
Not good for old loyal customers
Been a client for few years. I build up a good website on booksy, a lot of good reviews,so they increased prices.
It is better deal when you new customer but when they already have you and is "harder" to leave they will increase prices. Not happy and just in the process of leaving to new booking system
This is honestly the worst appointment…
This is honestly the worst appointment app ever—just horrible. It’s slow, constantly crashes, and logs me out for no reason.
On top of that, the Boost fees are ridiculous and completely unfair. We have clients who go to our other branch, yet Booksy still counts them as Boost clients. And sure, they say you can claim it back—but I’ve submitted plenty of claims with solid evidence, and they’ve never responded.
Do us all a favour: get out of the UK and take your terrible service with you.
Awful company
Awful company, I cancelled an appointment within the no charge cancellation time but yet still took £55 out of my account, I rebooked for the following day to what I cancelled and the venue charged me half again so it cost me £80 in total for a brow wax & tint and gel nails…. Not the salons fault. This company is a disgrace they don’t reply to emails just awful. I refuse to use them again. Shame because this is the only booking system my salon uses they have e now lost a client.
Booksy Boost Is a SCAM
I used to really value Booksy as a booking platform, but my experience with their Boost feature has been incredibly disappointing.
After being wrongly charged Boost commission fees, I was told the only way to dispute them was to provide direct evidence from the client confirming how they found my business. I followed their instructions exactly — obtained clear written confirmation from the client and submitted it with screenshots — yet since early April, Booksy has dragged the process out with excuse after excuse, refusing to resolve the issue.
Booksy has shown no real accountability or urgency in addressing legitimate concerns, and their support has been inconsistent and dismissive. It’s incredibly frustrating as a paying customer who has relied on this platform to run a business.
Sadly, I can no longer recommend Booksy — especially the Boost feature, which in my experience, has been misleading, untrackable, and unfairly enforced.
Terrible company for ignoring my…
Terrible company for ignoring my request to cancel and continue to take 2 payments.
My bank is having to continue to fight this as there is clear evidence I sent the correct information to the correct email.
I worry this is something they do on purpose to continue to gain at least 1 or 2 more payments.
A game changer for Beauty's Professionals
Title: A Game-Changer for Beauty Professionals!
Booksy has truly transformed the way I run my nail business. As a nail technician, having an all-in-one platform to manage appointments, showcase my work, and connect with clients has been a total game-changer. The app is super user-friendly, reliable, and makes scheduling a breeze—not just for me, but for my clients too.
I love how Booksy helps promote my services, keeps my calendar organized, and even sends automatic reminders, which has seriously cut down on no-shows. The support team is responsive and always ready to help, and the app just keeps getting better with updates and new features.
If you're a beauty professional looking to grow your business and simplify your workflow, I highly recommend Booksy. It’s more than just an app—it’s like having a digital assistant and marketing tool all in one.

Sadly after 9 yrs you have let me and my business down and I had to say goodbye , as overnight you stopped caring but earning from other recommendations not from your boost!
You have taken over 20k from me over 9 yrs I supported you whilst we went through lockdown but you disbelieve me when I explained that the client you said was boost and I claimed saying no was recommendation ! Relax in harmony Ltd waves goodbye to you !
Booksy Scam - Fraud
This is the biggest scam to hit the hair industry. To date.
Fraud. Data Breach.
If you are a booksy business Your business is completely at risk because of this company, the app, presets and clearances you cannot adjust.
Your staff have a list of every client name on their personal email date stamped thanks to the notification system that your staff can override when you try to switch it off.
They can screen grab your entire client list without your knowledge.
They can make time reservations at any point whatsoever with zero management clearance. They have total control of what they want from your business on the second level, the default level of security clearance - marked as staffer. This is represented as the recommended level by Booksy.
Basic staffer level one clearance is irritating enough for your staff to leave or have no ability to book clients with anyone other than themselves and it’s so difficult they won’t do that rendering level one a nonsense and forcing you to use level two.
This is undermining all management of your business.
Once your staff have that email date stamped list, All they need to do is find them on Facebook. Leave your company and your clients can be persuaded to follow. If your clients complain of a data breach you as the account owner are liable and Booksy will support that they are clean and you are liable for any data breach. Be very careful
Boost Scam Fraud.
Boost is a system that was brought out to support fledgling business by giving them a leg up - actively marketing the business to attract new customers.
1, who are these new customers & where are they from?
2, what does actively marketing mean?
So the new customers are literally any new customers. Organic or not. Anyone who signs up to Booksy to book with you is a chargeable boost client. The rate you will pay is roughly £7 of £20 for your new organic customer to be able to book in with you using Booksy. Hardly a Boost. More like a Boost in the sense of just stealing money.
The active marketing bit is where any Booksy user who is open to marketing emails (your loyal customers) are encouraged to go elsewhere, when these clients go elsewhere Booksy gets paid so therefore the more disloyal people become and the more they move around the more Booksy gets paid.
They offer a QR code and a link to avoid the fee. Absolute lies. We had the QR printed on business cards and distributed them. New, organic customers walked into our shop with the card asked how it worked and booked in front of us. The had to register and that is where the phrase “new customers” kicks in. Literally anyone who you introduce to the app incurs a cost to you. Boost?
To be clear This company is charging business’s for organically gaining new customers & onboarding them onto a booking app & calling that the boost program.
It is claiming between 25 & 40% plus VAT of any new customer regardless of whether they are organic or whether the customer responded to a Booksy marketing email.
Who is the customer to Booksy. You are paying them for a service. The service is horrific.
They are losing you money, business. And destroy customer confidence due to data breaches & leaving you liable.
Oh - the data on how many clients you have
Guess what. If you don’t cleanse the old non returning customers away from that the data is pointless. It’s a list of people who signed up. Not a list of customers & thanks to the non changeable systems you cannot specify how many people booked in the last X amount of weeks. It’s their numbers not yours.
You are irrelevant - to them, your customers make them money not you.

Customer care is amazing and there's always someone there to help if needed, easy to navigate and very tech friendly
Love Booksy!
Without Booksy I'm not really sure what I would do. I know that I would have to have a secretary because working with clients I don't have the time to make appointments. I also like that the customer service Is always ready to answer questions. Booksy has improved so much over the years and I've been with them for about 7-8 years now and it only continues to get better.
TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION
TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION
Been asking for some simple account info for several days now. My business has suffered in the time waiting. Emailed and called so many times but no one gets back to me or has anything to give.
I love love this booking app
I love love this booking app. It does so much more than the other booking apps. It's easy to use and new clients find me all the time!
Crap customer service
I briefly made an account with Booksy before realising you have to pay £50 odd per month for the service. So I made an account on Fresha as it’s free. I asked Booksy to delete my account on several occasions. I have now received a booking from a client from Booksy. Of which I do not have the availability. Ridiculous customer service.

Customer support rep ruined my day by telling me to import my contacts and assuring me that my contact list wouldn't get message blasted. He said he'd disable text so that it wouldn't happen.
Well my whole contact list ended up getting a message blast, which was infuriating and troublesome. Awful, awful experience, and it's a shame because the previous customer support I received was impeccable.
This is the best booking app
This is the best booking app. People from all over find me on here and come to get services done . They’ve all said it’s quick and easy . 10/10 recommend
