I do not often leave negative feedback, but my experience with Book Writing Founders has been troubling enough that I feel it is important to share it openly so others can make an informed choice.

At the outset, my interactions with the company were encouraging. The initial discussions created confidence and suggested a level of professionalism that made me optimistic about placing my work in their hands. Sadly, that confidence quickly eroded. Over the following months, communication deteriorated to the point where responses became irregular, delayed, and in some cases absent altogether. Messages sent to named contacts went unanswered for long periods, with no clear point of escalation and no sense that anyone was taking responsibility for resolving issues.

What I found most frustrating was the absence of basic information that any author should reasonably expect. I was never provided with a final proof to review. Promised cover revisions did not arrive. Repeated requests for clarity on printing details, materials, timelines, release plans, and distribution were either ignored or left unresolved. Instead of being guided through a structured process, I found myself repeatedly chasing updates simply to understand where things stood.

I was also uncomfortable with the way sensitive publishing documents were handled. There was no secure submission process, leaving email as the only option for sharing important personal and contractual information. That lack of safeguards raised serious concerns around data protection and professional practice.

Publishing a book requires trust. It requires clear communication, transparency, and confidence that your work is being managed with care and competence. Unfortunately, those fundamentals were missing throughout my engagement. The prolonged silence, missed commitments, and lack of accountability made the experience unnecessarily stressful and profoundly disappointing.

I share this review so others can approach their decision with open eyes. Anyone considering Book Writing Founders would be wise to research carefully and proceed cautiously. Based on my experience, there are significant questions to be asked about reliability, communication standards, and overall professionalism.

STAY AWAY!!!!! BE SMART AND DONT GET SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR MONEY!!! CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT NEEDS TO TAKE PLACE. THESE ARE NOT REAL PROFESSIONALS!! THEY ARE LAZY, SLOW, GREEDY, GROSS AND UNWORTHY PEOPLE WHO TAKE FROM OTHERS WHO ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO DO REAL BUSINESS. STAY AWAY OR YOU'LL BE SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR MONEY AND WRITING A REVIEW LIKE THIS ONE!

these people are the most hopeless group i have ever come across and i regret the day i started working with you. it has been costly and a painful experience not only for the website they took a year to make with endless corrections but also their incompetent work publishing Technicolor Dreamin' on amazon. i have asked them several times to remove the book from Amazon sites- not only because it badly done and even my name incorrectly spelt on the authors page. i want your copy off of Amazon on all Amazon site. I denounce these people as hopeless incompetent workers which everyone should be aware of and avoid having anything to do with for their own sanity.

These people published my children’s book almost 2 years ago now.
They also did the illustrations and it was HORRIBLE!!
In the story a small child comes home with her mother after a deadly tornado hits her house. The MOTHER is SMILING EAR TO EAR looking at the house hit and the car hit!
When I brought this to their attention they said “oh you need to look at the eyebrows”
WAIT WHAT??
Bottom line RUN FOREST RUN!
They don’t have a clue! They only know how to STEAL your money!

They contacted me from a gmail email claiming that they're a company. Asked me to translate 75 pages with a 2 days deadline, which I didn't ofcourse. Never shared their company's details. They sent me an unofficial contract writtenin a funny font by a 5th grader and said they wouldn't do downpayment. Watch out for them they're not legit.

I took them to UK Court and won, but...
Warning: Terrible Company - AVOID
I paid £15,000 in 2022

£3,500 for a book package they never completed
£10,000 for an animation - I have no animation at all to show for this.
£1,500 for a 100x printed book they never delivered in full.

I strongly advise against using Book Writing Founders. In July 2022, I paid them £10,000 for an animation and £3,500 for a book. In November 2022, I paid an additional £1,500 for 100 printed copies of the book. Over two years later, they have failed to fully deliver on any of these services.

The most concerning issue is that I never received any of the animations I paid for. At one point, they told me they didn't even have an animation department anymore and promised me a refund, this never materialised. Later, they claimed that a staff member had misinformed me and that they did have an animation department, but still, no progress was made.

Despite numerous attempts to resolve these issues, including taking them to the UK Small Claims Court, I have not received the services or refunds owed to me. The court ruled in my favour, ordering the Book Writing Company to pay me my refund, plus interest and court fee's = £12,117.21, but so far they have ignored this judgment as well.

The UK Court ruling will now stay as a matter of public record for 6 years unless they pay me by 17th December 2024.

I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others.

Also, having read the other 1-star reviews - all their stories resonate with me, too. We all have a similar terrible story to tell.

DO NOT USE!! This company only cares for your money. It’s a scam. They try all these tacky tricks to make you think they are a high flying company. People who work for them should be ashamed to con money from innocent customers. They take thousands for a job that takes less than £100 to do. They promise all these things and deliver on none! Please do not use them! Launching your own book on Amazon does not cost what these guys charge!

Fraudulent company. I spent 18 months trying to be nice and patient with them. I got sloppy work not fit for publication. Do not give them your hard earned money. They refuse to refund it. Soulless people who use fake names and addresses and will pass you from person to person without your project being done correctly. They should be forced to refund all money they have taken from people who placed their trust in them.

This company is a scam. They stole 20k from me. They promised a refund for the work that was not done and they are pushing me off to random people at the company to avoid a conversation. Its awful and really sad.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They are a scam. If you ask them about their negative reviews online, they will tell you “oh those are written by our competitors” and just ramble out a bunch of BS that doesn’t make sense (i know because i’ve asked them myself). I am not a competitor - i work in tech, not ghostwriting/publishing. These people are shady and barely hiding it - if you interact with them at length, you’ll see a ton of red flags (more and more as you get closer to them delivering on what they were paid to deliver), but i say this with every fiber of my being: do NOT give them any of your money no matter what they say. Try to find any info about their CEO/executives/anybody in a real leadership position online - you won’t, and that should tell you everything you need to know. One more time, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY EVEN ONE DIME OF YOUR MONEY!!

From conceptualization to final draft, their book writing service was stellar. They listened closely, delivered on time, and captured my voice perfectly. Couldn't be happier with the results!

I enjoyed working with both of their crew and staff. They're all very professional, very reliable and very understanding.

I've been waiting six months for a refund – they hang up my calls, call me names and told me to sue them because they won't be refunding a penny.

Don't go with these people, they're based in India, not the US or UK as their website says and this can be found through the GOV. website.

They're scammers.

I recently used Book Writing Founders to write about my experience as a military's veteran. I was really impressed with the writing quality and the service I received. They were very organized and kept me updated on my book's progress throughout the writing process.

The service from Book Writing Founders is really fantastic. They designed the book cover and page very professionally. I'm very happy with what they did and would recommend them to my friends and family.

The best way this company can improve is to go out of business forever and disappear of the face of the earth! They are without question the most useless, unprofessional, talentless bunch of impostors - and I don't use that word lightly - I have ever had the misfortune to be involved with in my entire life (and Im not a young man) - And I have 18 months worth emails to prove my point!
All I wanted was what they call a line by edit (literally correcting punctuation and spelling) Then for it to be formatted and uploaded to the relevant platforms and to supply me with 25 printed copies.
The process commenced Oct 2022 - the simple editing process took 6months! (remember, just punctuation and spelling most of which is done through an app anyway). Then the formatting - which was an absolute disaster. Every time I made my comments and sent back the latest version, the following version would have new mistakes in it that were not there on the previous version, and my previous comments would be completely misconstrued and present further problems. Example: one of the versions had lost all the paragraph spacing and it took 2 weeks of email exchanges before I was able to make them understand what a paragraph space was! Not not mention the fact that everyone I spoke to over the telephone had a problem with the English language - (Some of their emails were atrocious and looked as they been put through a translation app) Not good for a so-called publishing company publishing books in the English language.

So here I am - nearly the middle of June 2024 - 20 MONTHS after the process started and last week I finally received a copy of the book that was acceptable! But in spite of repeated requests over the last 3 weeks them to inform what platforms the book had been uploaded to and for them to send me an editable final version and a supply the name of a company officer that I could get in touch with to voice my complaints about the diabolical service I have received - I have been met with complete silence!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE - IF YOU VALUE YOU SANITY - AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE

And a note to TRUSTPILOT - you should offer the option for NO STARS - the lowest 1 is far too good for this company

This PS has been written 5 week after the the original review above. My experience has got even WORSE!! In spite of repeated requests over the last 5 weeks to find out why the the final agreed version has still not been published on all the platforms I have paid for - I have been met with complete silence - total refusal to address the situation. Your company is a shambolic, diishonest, unprofessional disgrance!!!!!!
