Booths café Penrith
Booths café Penrith - first and last time!
The place had all the atmosphere of a petrol forecourt. Bland furniture, cold and completely uninviting.
Extremely disappointing service in Booths cafe in Poulton
Customer service in the cafe is non- existent.
Called into the cafe at 1pm to be served by a very rude lady, no name badge on, however name of staff on receipt 'Sandra'. She had no inter personal skills whatsoever, no welcoming, no interaction, nothing. Two young people, male and female, were also working behind the counter who didn't look very happy either, no smiles. Sandra, as front of house, should be leading by example. I actually felt sorry for the young staff having to work in that environment.
Customer service in the cafe needs a massive shakeup.
Rogan Josh gone wrong!
Just bought a Rogan Josh ready meal from the Carnforth store, it was very disappointing. Nearly all tomatoes and pepper and very little meat, also the flavour was wrong. Usually everything is good, so I hope this is a one off!
My rating is for the Rogan Josh, not the store!

Very dissapointed with booths…
Very dissapointed with booths considering they are suppose to be an upmarket shop. I got a TGTO bag of meat and fish it states on the app shop value £15 TGTG price £5 so I bought one when I got it home the shop value was only £13.75 i rang the store and the lady said that the total was £7! I advised her she was incorrect, it consisted of 2 packs of raw prawns that smelt when i cooked them so they went in the bin, and a wild duck which I cooked but wasn't happy with the look and smell of that either so that went in the bin too. So as you can imagine I'm not happy whatsoever. It was my first one from Booths and it will be my last, I have had a few from Aldi and so much more superior even getting a little more than is expected
Now loss making and turning nasty
Now loss making and turning nasty. I parked at the Booths Kirkby Lonsdale store at Christmas, spent over £30 in the store and left after just over half an hour. I was supposed to have free customer parking for an hour. I have just received a menacing letter from their parking agents demanding £100. It masquerades as a fine in a way little short of fraudulent misrepresentation but in reality is just a trumped up erroneous invoice with arbitrary amounts and an arbitrary nonsense so-called “appeal” process - designed like everything else to mimic a penalty notice from a public body with public powers. Booths have a chance to do the decent thing and call them off but regardless no legal force unless awarded to their cowboy parking agents (Parkingeye”) in Court - which, of course, will never happen + I’ll happily see them there with maximum well-deserved adverse publicity for Booths - as should all their other victims.
I used to love Booths and regard them as one of the best things the North West had to offer. I’ve even gone out of my way to support them by ordering their food from Amazon at my main home in London. I can now only assume they’re resorting to sharp practice in a foolhardy attempt to survive. Very sad and destined to accelerate their self-destruction.

I shop at Booths in Keswick atleast 5 times per week as I live in Keswick.
I see that they have recently appointed a person to meet & greet you on arrival. This is a unique service which I found most helpful as these days shopping in a busy supermarket such as Booths can be rather stressful !
This gentleman ( from Cuba ) was so helpful with such a lovely attitude to his work. Nothing was a problem he helped me find a trolley then took it to the trolley station for me ! If only other supermarkets offered such good service I would perhaps be tempted to shop out of town.
Well done Booths.
Christmas day meal ruined. Thank you Booths
Just had our Christmas dinner ruined. Thank you Booths Chorley. Bought a selection of steaks from the butcher counter here for our Christmas Day meal and two were just OK (not great by any stretch) but I had the crushing misfortune to endure THE most toughest, tasteless steak I have EVER eaten in my entire life. What an absolute disgrace. I’ve enjoyed a great many steaks in my life. Some eaten in restaurants and some cooked at home but this Christmas Day steak was categorically the worst steak ever in my entire life.
I got an obscenely expensive rib of beef here last year for Christmas Day and it was nothing short of atrocious. More fat than actual beef (the dogs ate more of it than we did) so I thought I’d be safe with steaks this year. Big mistake. At least the dogs enjoyed it again this year because I certainly didn’t. Thank you Booths for ruining what should have been a celebration meal with family and turning it into a VERY expensive meal for my dogs. Valuable lesson learned.
Penwortham store poor
Penwortham staff (team leader checkout and team leader cheese) rude, slagging other staff off whilst serving. Make you feel like an inconvenience. I’ve complained before but no improvement. Christmas is no excuse- Tesco, Lidl and Waitrose staff are great.Ive ordered Christmas food from Booths and I am dreading going to pick it up- New Year’s resolution - don’t shop at Booths-

Would like to thank staff for prompt assistance . I had a mishap when a pack of beer fell from a shelve hit the floor exploded covering me in beer . The staff dealt with the situation within seconds offering me assistance and cleaning up the mess .
I have always found the shopping experience at the Burscough store to be good and the store always clean and well stocked .
Booths Hale Barns
Booths Hale Barns: once again the Staff at the Deli Counter are far too engrossed in conversation to bother serving customers, in spite of them being made fully aware of the presence of customers. Dismal.

Booths Tarleton uses Parking eye to rip you off if you go shopping and then have a coffee in the cafe.
I put up with the slow service. I put up with the high prices. But the parking ticket means I’m now shopping at Aldi. As a bonus I seem to have recouped the parking ticket cost in my first major shop at Aldi

I look forward to my weekly visit to Booths, I don't find the prices to bad and the quality is excellent, you can pre-order items and collect them on a persific date of your choice. There are two coffee area's, if one is busy, the staff are lovley, and the self-serve tills have gone. Only one thing that would improve Booths. A Chemist for precipitation, and a photo shop. One would not need to go anywhere else then. Happy Shopper !
Booths at Keswick is a lovely shop but…
Booths at Keswick is a lovely shop but far too expensive and spoiled by staff who are miserable, offhand with customers, and who seem to consider it an imposition to have to help a customer or to offer polite service. I watched them stand back whilst a customer verbally abused an elderly lady, shouting obscenities at her. They did nothing to help her and allowed the abuse to continue. Any other shop would have involved security staff and removed the offending bully. Their whole attitude was one of could not be bothered. They have lost not only my custom but the custom of 7 family members.
Shop in chorley Booths
As a regular shopper in Booth in Chorley, l would like to thank the staff, who create a pleasant atmosphere every week we visit. They are so helpful and go out of their way to make sure that we leave with a smile on our face.
Wonderful Booths
Interested to see Booths on the news today in light of their decision to remove self- service tills. This bought to mind my visits to Booths in the Lake District. What wonderful, welcoming service. 5*.

We are visiting Pendle area and have used Booths Barrowford shop and cafe over the past few days. Lovely place. Lots of choice and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The young man, Martin, in the cafe couldn't have done better. He was great. Fantastic place to shop and eat.
Spit in someone’s milk
I was in the cafe at the Windermere store on Tuesday, I saw an employee spit into someone’s milk, The employee was male, thin eyes, he might of had a condition with one of them, short fat fingers and overweight. I now wish I’d told the unfortunate person at the time.
Undeserved Reputation
Yet again, pre packed fruit an outrage, bought 4 pears , each one turned to hide huge bruises and rot, it happens all the time, and its the most expensive supermarket in the area. 25 mile round trip if we were to take them back. Sly and outright robbery. Sort it Booths.
Avoid at all costs for booths at…
Avoid at all costs for booths at Kirby-Lonsdale. Some intellectually malnourished manager has decided to introduce Parking Eye to manage their car park with ANPR, thus sounding the death knell of the business at that location. Be prepared to receive £100 invoices for any minor parking infringement.
Just not worth shopping there any more. Now have to fight a PCN as I refuse to pay a penny to these thieving scammers. Just watch as their business declines over the next few years and the brainless managers wonder why.
