I have ordered from on line and received an item smashed with broken glass all over the box. I have emailed 3 time's and called twice.
I have been ignored via email.
And told on the phone 1st that a refund has been processed, and the 2nd time that no refund has been processed to again send another email to another email address.
I have received an email to say my return has been rejected.
And moments later a claim form sent out?
I have already emailed with images.
Do i have to retun the box with smashed glass to the store?
UPDATE
I have since been contacted by 'customer service' after posting on social media about my experience and I am waiting on a 'review' that takes 14 working days. If a porely packaged glass item arrives damaged then there is no need of review, especially after providing photos of said damge.

Quick delivery and I got exactly what I ordered
My advantage card offers are loaded onto my card but not being applied at checkout. Depsite troubleshooting and doing everything else that might resolve the issue, this is an ongoing problem. Customer service has advised contacting them when my orders have despatched so that they can add the points on, but despite advising this previously, they no longer want to follow this through. The only representative that has been helpful to me has been Tejanna.
This is an ordeal each time I place an order, so much so, that it has put me off shopping at Boots altogether. I provide screenshots, all my personal details, and all the requested information, and each time I am met with a generic copy and paste response asking me to provide the same details I have already provided. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The advantage card is the main reason I shop with Boots and with this being an issue and customer service being so unhelpful, I will now shop elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered a Zima Dental Pod to clean my son’s aligners on 01/03/2026, paying €100, but I never received the product. I have sent multiple emails to orders department
and customer care and have not received any response or update whatsoever. At this point, it feels like I have been completely ignored. This has been an extremely disappointing experience, and I will not be ordering from Boots again.

I would have to agree with most reviewers here on Trustpilot. Boots Customer Service is a disgrace. I tried to complete an order online yesterday 4 times but each one was cancelled by Boots. The 1st payment went through on Paypal. I rang Customer Service this morning and the girl said there was nothing she could do and she couldn't tell me why the 4 orders were cancelled. I asked if she could put the order in or what should I do - she didn't know. What kind of Customer Service is this? I tried again just now and changed order slightly, still cancelled. I would like an explanation from Boots as to why this is happening.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. The way they treat their customers , people don't want to go back ! My family been loyal Boots customers since 2004 but we do not shop with them since 2022...Brutal customer service, actually none. If you email them expect no reply . The website is simply is disgrace, anything you try to buy on sales - guaranteed transaction failure, as your payment will be cancelled by Boots ! A special promotion Scam . It is not once , every time we've tried to buy something over the years, after they sent us a clickbate special promotion emails ! The money you collect on your Advantage Card , that they promise will never exprire, they can erase whenever they want! I had a balance of €27,40 on boots Advantage card , they brought it to zero in March 2022 ! Shocking. I stopped shopping with them since. Do not bother waste your time and nerves.
PS : I got an automated AI reply (as eveyone else here) from a bot. That's no use, Boots just pretending to care. They do not care !
I recommend to shop elsewhere, eg notino- for perfume, and local stores, penneys, other online stores for cosmetics etc.. they are also cheaper than Boots !

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the online ordering service I have received from Boots this year.
On three separate occasions in 2026, I have placed orders totaling between €60 and €70, consisting of everyday essentials such as shower gel, deodorant, and baby care. Each time, I have received a follow-up email stating that several items—invariably the ones I needed most—had been removed from my order.
Most recently, on March 20th, I placed an order for four items, including Biomel powder, Excedrin, and a specific nasal spray that I can only source through Boots. I once again received an email stating the spray and powder were removed. Furthermore, as of today, I still have not received the remaining items from this order.
It is incredibly frustrating to have a "stock available" status on your website only to have the items cancelled after payment. I would appreciate an explanation as to why this keeps happening and an immediate update on the status of my March 20th order.

I recently placed an online order (Order 814938953) and received an incorrect item.
While I understand mistakes can happen, the real issue has been the lack of customer support. I followed all instructions, replied with the requested details, and even sent multiple emails, but received no response.
The process feels overly reliant on automated replies, which makes it difficult to resolve a simple issue like receiving the wrong product.
This should have been a quick fix — either a replacement or refund — but instead it has required multiple follow-ups with no resolution.
Disappointing experience overall, especially for a well-known retailer.

I’ve been a regular Boots customer for years and place large online orders (around €200-300 monthly) for my skincare and makeup, so this experience was genuinely disappointing.
I recently received a MAC highlighter that arrived defective — the pressed powder pan was loose and not properly secured in the compact. I reported this immediately and provided clear photos.
What followed was a series of generic, copy-paste responses that did not address the issue at all. My situation (including the fact that I am currently away and unable to return the item immediately) was completely ignored, and the item was even incorrectly referred to as “unwanted” rather than faulty.
Despite explaining the issue multiple times, I was repeatedly told to follow the standard returns process, and eventually informed that no further support could be offered.
The most frustrating part is not the product itself, but the lack of actual customer service — no review of the case, no attempt to engage with what I was saying, and no flexibility whatsoever.
As a loyal customer, I would have expected a far more considered and customer-focused response. This experience has seriously affected my confidence in continuing to shop with Boots.

Click and collect service has gone sharply downhill. It used to be that when you placed an order it might actually arrive ahead of schedule - now it is consistently days behind schedule and there is never any communication from Boots to update you on when it is expected.

Absolutely awful customer service and complete customer service avoidance. Contacted multiple times and each time got a copy and paste response that was completely unrelated. Keep trying to steal you towards self help even thought you went through that to reach customer service. When you respond to their emails that are not helpful they just ignore you

Website experience is just awful in general, app is even worse. For some reason they crash all the time and it's impossible to use offers.
Once I finally decided to go on with the order one of the discounts (5e) just vanished even if wad listed! So annoying, now it's not for the 5e but it's the whole concept of such a big company not being able to reach expectations, why having promos advertised and added on the chart page but then when you go to pay they just vanish? Absurd.

BOOTS.IE also claim to recognise KLARA as a payment option which does not happen.I am waiting for Mutlitvitams that should have been delivered yesterday.Customer service told me wait another week and contact us for refund.
