Reliable Company That Keeps Its Word


I recently sold my MacBook Pro to Boss Mac’s and overall had a very good experience. They arranged a free collection, inspected the device promptly, and honoured the original quote price that was offered to me.

There was a slight issue with the payment being delayed, and I did have to chase it up which was a bit frustrating. However, once I got in touch, Andy resolved the situation and ensured everything was sorted. As a goodwill gesture for the delay, I was also given an extra £50, which I appreciated.

Despite the small hiccup, I can confirm this is a genuine business that does pay what they promise. I would recommend Boss Mac’s if you’re looking to sell your used Mac.

My MacBook was sent via Royal Mail special delivery in pristine condition, and arrived on Wednesday 14th January. An email was apparently sent by the buyer on 16th, confirming receipt and that outwardly, the MacBook was as described, but would be tested fully, in due course . I didn't receive that email, but it was re sent to me last week.

Following further correspondence regarding inspection and timeframes for payment, the buyer kept me updated and I received payment this morning, together with £20 for using my own choice of courier.

Trusted buyer who is open and honest, smooth process and great price

Was looking to move my Macbook pro M2 on and didn't really want the hassle of a private sale with all the scammers about, and found BossMacs, offered a great price and shipping it was easy. Was very nervous posting off my laptop at first but after speaking with Andy he put my mind at rest and was fourth coming with any details I requested to give confidence, it was over the Christmas period and also Andy had personal issues to deal with but the communication continued and was paid the full amount offered at the start. All in a very smooth process and a trusted buyer, so don't hesitate if you need to move your products on for a very good price.

Bossmacs offered the highest buy price it was easy to set up a delivery pickup from the email i received and i received the money within the time frame of 7 to 10 working days of receiving the mac and with it been so close to Christmas i didn't think i was going to happen

Great service even through adversity

I sold my Macbook air to boss macs, and even though Andy was going through horrendous person issues he still made time to get back to me and process my Macbook in a timely manner especially due to the circumstances.
The service was professional and I received the exact amount that was quoted for the laptop.

AVOID! Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. Avoid at all costs.

I accepted an original trade-in valuation of £680. After they received my MacBook, they claimed it was damaged and dropped the offer to £400. Which in itself is ridiculous when even with the damage they were stating I could still get over £600 elsewhere.

They first mentioned the price had altered due to “micro scratches”, then sent a photo of a deep, curved scratch that is blatantly obvious. I disputed it because it wasn’t there when I last used the laptop and I have photos from that time. The scratch also looked clearly new and clean. They then tried to tell me it “wasn’t visible” and that “you wouldn’t notice it” trying to gas light me into believing it was there when I sent it. None of this however matches the photo they sent.

The attitude was worse than the valuation. I got a rude call from a no caller ID number, where I was told I was “insulting his experience” for questioning it, and I was then threatened with legal action if I was to leave a bad review. Completely unprofessional and meaning there was no way to trace the call.

When I held my stance and said I’d have the device back and seek advice, they then said they would personally return it instead of sending it back via a courier, which I did not accept. Back and forth they still tried to deny any damage but it’s funny how once I mentioned taking it further, the price magically moved from £400 to £650. After that, my emails were ignored for days and I had to chase multiple times. They then tried to reset the payment timeframe because a “revised quote” was accepted but this being a revised quote that only existed because of the disputed damage that appeared after they received the device.

I eventually accepted £650 just to end the stress, but the device was still left damaged through their process and there was no proper remedy for that loss. Other companies like Back Market might offer a bit less, but it’s worth taking the small hit to avoid the hassle and this unprofessional, awful company.

Excellent service with real integrity

I recently sold several devices to Boss Macs and was very impressed with the way they handled the process. Communication was clear and professional throughout, and they kept me updated along the way.

Even during what I understand has been a very challenging period for them personally, they still made sure everything was resolved properly and with genuine care. I really appreciate their integrity and commitment to making things right.

It’s rare to come across a business that balances professionalism with such a human touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Boss Macs to anyone looking to sell their tech and will happily use them again in the future.

I was VERY skeptical at first to mail my laptop for money. However, Bossmacs offered me a competitive price for my Macbook, so I took the chance.

I shipped the laptop and then about roughly 12 business days later he sent the payment. The terms and conditions said it would take 2-7 business days. When the payment didn't come initially in that window, I emailed and owner and he was very responsive each time and assured me there was just a delay.

This is a trustworthy company.
