Complete rip off. My "plants" came today. $165 worth of spindly seedlings buried in the loose soil they were packed in. No planters. No option for a refund, just exchanges or site credit. Dumped the useless lot.
I have been their Customer for several years it used to be good it is now just another mediocre plant company with cudtomer service based in India , one specie of plant i ordered from them all died , they gave me a Cert Y ficate , not worth the paper it is printed on , either it is nor available but it is on the catague or they cancel the order , ot ask you to fork out the money for an upgrade . do yourself a favor there are other bulb Co out there . Ne stressful , as per my experience since they ask , i used to cross breed roses , Dahlia and have literally grafted hundreds of walnut tree . The plant that died were Hyssop . The one from Amazon are still alive !

Received a bulb garden as Christmas gift. As of today, not one blossom. Called Brecks and was told to find a sunny spot in house (see picture, right in front of window) and give it more time. Ridiculous…maybe I’ll have a blossom this spring?
I couldn't be more disappointed. I bought top of the line pots of bulbs as Christmas gifts. One has never bloomed the other has never sprouted. I've reached out to customer service and there is only silence. If it looks to be too good to be true, it just might be.
I received a gift of a 3 bulb arrangement Nov 29, 2024. The bulbs were completely inactive and I sent an email with photos to customer service on Dec 16, 2024 asking for guidance. I received no response. Today I contacted customer service by phone and they said they could not do anything because it had been a gift to me and they had no replacements and that I needed to contact the account holder and have them go to the effort of contacting them. This is an unnecessary and awkward way for me to handle a gift. I would have been quite happy with a credit. The email I sent was not acknowledged nor did it come back to me as undeliverable. They claim they cannot do anything at all. This is the worst most outdated customer service I have experienced in quite some time. Although I have received this gift many times over the years, I cannot recommend this company.
Cancelled my order as by October they still had not sent my order and snow had already fallen. Well, no refund and no order showed up! SO they kept the bulbs and my money!

That was the email sent back at the end of October and it is now January! Still no refund!
Ordered two gifts for Xmas on Nov 21st. One arrived, one was listed as delayed but would arrive Dec 10th. It's now Jan 2nd and no word or update from Breck's so I called to cancel the order, since Xmas has long come and gone, and it's a ten business day waiting period to get refunded. So 56 days that Breck's would have had my money, with no communication, and no fufillment of the order. First time, and last time.
Fall Sale I do not recommend purchasing. I mostly wanted Tall Phlox, both of which were canceled. Delivery was supposed to be October and continued into November and they said some would come in December. Not! I just got the refund check. I was putting things in the ground right before the ground froze. Product came in 4 shipments so not very efficient or good for their bottom line. Didn't get notified by email when items were shipped. It was very frustrating. I received items I didn't order which I get to keep (they didn't even ask what they were) which does not help their profitability. I will find my phlox elsewhere in future.
No issues with what we order and when it arrived. Unfortunately we were using a bill pay service and the payment arrived late. Brecks sent an updated bill with $1.50 finance charge and a due date of 11/30, which was completely understandable. We sent payment on 11/13 and Brecks received that on 11/22. But on 11/14 they charged us a late fee of $10 and sent us and updated bill. I called the customer service to try to resolve and they were rude and I got nowhere on Dec 2. Out of frustration, I sent the $10. Today I received a bill for $10.50 because they added a late finance charge of $0.50. I have not calmed down enough to call them back.
I bought plants in June , by November I had not received them and no refund. Very poor customer service , I do not recommend.
I phoned close to 8 times each time they are telling stories. As I write this review I still had not received any plants or refund.
I strongly advise against ordering anything with Fall shipping from this company. I placed my order on May 4, yet they shipped it on November 20, when local temperatures had dropped to -20°C. At the time of my order, their website stated that the last Fall shipping date was much earlier. However, as delays mounted, they kept pushing the deadlines on the website, eventually listing November 22 for Zone 3—a date completely impractical for anyone familiar with planting.
I cannot assess whether their plants can survive because the shipping was deliberately timed to ensure the plants arrived damaged and frozen. I attempted to contact them earlier, but received no response. Later, they claimed to have never received my emails.
I wish I had read reviews on this site before I made my order.
Terrible trying to get a refund. Been waiting almost 3 weeks, phoned twice and was told my refund would be escalated and I’d get a phone call in 24 hrs. HA! No call, no refund. Don’t buy from them. I’m going to the Better Business Bureau if I don’t get my refund this week.

Their website glitches terribly. My order was sent to the wrong address. When I contacted them, they said I input the wrong shipping information. Yet when a customer service rep read my phone number and address to me, they had yet another (third) address and the wrong phone number. They keep insisting I input the wrong information, even though their own system changed my address to the wrong one, in real time, while I was talking to customer service. Truly bizarre. They finally said they would issue a replacement credit.
Ordered in August, as per their websites instructions for fall bulb delivery.
They changed the expected delivery date 5 or 6 times.
I emailed asking for confirmation I would be receiving my order as they were “available to ship”, but got no response.
Finally called to see what they were doing and when they would be shipped, they could offer no guarantees.
They’re either the worst ran business or a scam, either way not worth the time.
Bad News
it's too long to write. Ordered a variety of bulbs and plants and were very inconsistent in quality. "Premium plants" is a misnomer. Bulbs and plants were rotted; rhizomes dried and shriveled; plants were dried out and were basically sticks and dried out roots; some "plants were about 1/4", including dried stem; on and on. Trying to get these issues resolved have a nightmare. They resist giving refunds and want to issue "replacement certificates." Why would we want to risk replacements with the same problems????
Horrible service. Bulbs ordered in July for zone 4 promised in mid September, still not shipped in late October. Their customer service only offered to add ‘rush’ to my order after I threatened to cancel. Too little too late and very disappointing as this ruins my plans for my garden for a whole year.
Ordered tulips in the summer. $200 worth. Have received $15 worth as of Oct 17. Called to cancel the rest. The person in India said I can plant tulips until December here in New England and "the bulbs just shipped". Really, I can plant in December? Despite snow quite likely on ground and ground almost certainly frozen?? They won't cancel the order. So, who knows when the tulips will show up. I guess I can keep the bulbs and plant them in fall 2025 and I might see them in Spring 2026.
