Follow the cooking instructions and viewing the YouTube serving details, we had a lovely gastronomic experience. The minced beef steak & mature cheddar pie needed no further enhancement. I'll buy again

Not what we wanted
We bought a venison and red wine pie for £10, expensive for a pie, and barely feeds 3 people.We were really looking forward to it, but it didn't taste like venison at all. It tasted like low quality beef and we couldn't taste the red wine either. Over all we feel like we've been ripped off for a very mediocre pie that is expensive. not happy.
06/06/25, I was asked to email in following my review but never got anything back, not sure what the point of this was.

Disappointing pie
Have just had a steak, ale and Stilton pie from Whatton oaks show, £11.50. We had a pie from this company a year prior, we wasn’t impressed then but gave them another chance, and it’s no better. The pie resembles nothing like the display in terms of filling, the ale and Stilton flavour really lacking with very little seasoning and very little meat for the price, won’t be getting fooled a third time.

You will not be disappointed
Great service, as always, and the pies are delicious. The pies arrive in perfect condition, well packed and ready to go straight into the freezer. This is our second order and we are not disappointed, I know we'll be back for more in the future. I have no hesitation in recommending these pies to you.

The pastry was not very nice at all
The pastry was not very nice at all and very hard. It was very difficult to get the pie out of the foil. Generally speaking this wasn't a positive experience.

Signed up to be considered as a pie taster, at Brockleby's invitation. Received absolutely no information about tasting, just constant emails trying to sell me pies; very underhand!
I contacted Jay as requested, who offered me a load of waffle and free pies, if I would remove my review. I did NOT take Jay up on his offer, as I despise such attempts at bribery and it simply underlined my initial reservations.
