Our family had BUPA coverage for years but since we moved to Cyprus it became the worst experience. Majority of claims are underpaid due to “being out of customary charges” even though the prices here are similar at any medical center and much cheaper than in other countries we lived. We pay the same premium but getting underpaid all the time. They can’t provide any clear explanation what are these customary charges, they just got an external partner (that is not disclosed) that does the claims for them and BUPA hides behind its decisions. Not recommended at all!

It think it important for both client-patient and health insurer to meet the challenge of a dialogue. So far, BUPA has risen to this challenge and appears to account for the issues discussed between us. Better still, I have seen the improvement showing that BUPA is listening. This builds trust -- which is important for my health and their economic one.

The worst service you can imagine and i'm specifically referring to Bupa Hong Kong , they should settle a claim within 2 working days but they don't , they keep them on hold for weeks and at the end they decline with no feedbacks .
If you reach out to their very poor customer care service, they answer after 3 days and 5 reminders with a very poor comment as " your illness MIGHT BE pre-existing " and close the conversation.
Definetly not reccomended.

Paid in for over 20 years , premium then double from age 60 to 65 , and the introduction of now claims discount con , be warned when you get over 60 they do their best to price you out
