When I broke down I phoned up call assist and the whole process was excellent they assessed the situation very professionally and arranged a recovery for me and my car and they arrived in an hour would well recommend them to anyone great value for £94 per year with the RAC I waited 6 hours for a recovery

AWEFUL EXPERIENCE
Firstly ? ADY was wonderful, reassuring excellent knowledge polite and assisting.
The company breakdown service DIABOLICAL one lady in particular was rude condescending and definitely patronising!
Broken down with no help in the middle of nowhere.
Told me I had a limited mileage radius of recovery service had to pay an extra £20 before they'd do anything!
Then I was told " I'm telling you it's Easter weekend nobody will come out"
I was frustrated cold and angry.
Woman said a couple of times " I'm speaking now" ???
I pay for breakdown service not to told or spoken down to !
I'll be bringing this up with vanline direct whom i purchase breakdown service from because what's the point of having it if not told this in advance of purchase??
Cost me £264 to be privately rescued which they said they'll only refund me £174 as its " out of their price range" ????
All during a raging storm on A96 middle of nowhere at 3.30am

It was a great experience. I was able to submit all the details easily from my phone, including my exact location. Came at time they said young lad very polite and nice to talk to .unfortunately couldn't retrieve my van that night because access was very tight and not able to get it but was told they will get something smaller and recover it the next morning .they did exactly what they said they would do . very grateful and excellent service

My experience of breakdown recovery by call assist
Recovery driver arrived when he said he would and tried to fix the problem with the car but was unable to do so. Driver was friendly and courteous and delivered the car and myself to the garage of my choosing efficiently. Good service.

Quick and efficient service
From my initial phonecall I was directed by text to a straightforward on line form. The recovery firm was confirmed very quickly followed by an eta which was quick and accurate. The handling of our car onto the recovery vehicle was careful and efficient. Well pleased with all aspects of service.

We had an incident which left us stranded by the side of the A5. We made the call to the Call Assist Vehicle Rescue. It was answered promptly and was dealt with efficiently and pleasantly. The speaker was clear and understandable- very important for me as I do not hear well. I was very impressed by the number of times they phoned during the wait for the rescue vehicle to arrive, not only to my phone but also to my husband's phone. The whole process was very reassuring and helpful. When the man arrived with the vehicle he took us and the vehicle all the way to where we had asked to go with minimum of fuss and much care and reassurance. Excellent experience in a difficult situation especially considering our ages, both in our late 70s. Thank you!

If you live in Scotland, AVOID
I booked a recovery from 4 to 6pm and was told it wasn't an issue as its a 24 hour service and you can pick any time. On the day of recovery at 4.20pm I received a call to say they couldn't pick up my car that day or until 10am the next day. I made it clear that I needed it to be delivered for an appointment at 8.45am and after multiple calls and them offering to leave my car outside the garage barrier overnight and leave my keys somewhere nearby (seriously.), I was told it would be collected between 6.30am and 8.30am. I then received a text that morning to say it's moved to 11am. This is not a 24 hour service and I have now missed my appointment at the garage. I've been lied to about times being updated and not been accurately informed of your capabilities as a "24 hour service". My car is now off the road for an additional 3 days due to the weekend, and that is presuming the garage can now fit it in on a different day. I was informed by their team that they have less than 10 operators in Scotland and they don't like to travel more than 20 miles outside of Glasgow. So if you live in Scotland, save your time, energy and money and use a different company.
