100% recommend

Genuinely the tastiest microwaveable meals I've ever had. Really brilliant macro splits and food I looked forward to eating at every mealtime. I didn't need to supplement with any other snacks, the portions were plentiful and suited my needs.

Slaps

Not gonna lie, Calo is the reason I haven’t lived off cereal this week.
I’ve tried different prepped meal companies before and finally found one that actually slaps.

3rd company I’ve tried

Calo are the 3rd meal prep company I’ve used and it’s by far the best. I compared this to my weekly food shop Monday to Friday and it was only £12 more and the quality of the food I’m eating it’s so much better! Thank you Calo

Healthy & Nutritionally balanced

Calo really exceeded my expectations. The meal taste genuinely home cooked, not like ready meals, and they save me so much time.
I love that they arrive fresh every morning, the portions are filling, and the high protein plan fits my lifestyle perfectly.
At first I thought it was pricey, but it's actually cheaper that what I'd usually spend on food.
Highly recommend!!!!

stored and used my card details without consent!!!

I had been really enjoying Calo. The app could be glitchy at times but the food was good and the convenience of not having to think about what to eat, while knowing it was high protein and nutritious, made a real difference. I was using it more and more and had recommended it to many friends.

Unfortunately, the recent changes made to the app have been hugely disappointing and the service has taken a serious turn for the worse:

No menu before payment: you can no longer see what’s on offer before committing. Why would anyone sign up without knowing what they’re paying for? This feels like a major design flaw.

Unexplained price increase: my plan was always £95 for breakfast, lunch, and a snack, 5 days a week. Suddenly, at checkout, the same package jumped to £109.50 with no explanation, even though parts of the app still showed £95. A £14.50 rise isn’t insignificant, but I’d have been willing to pay it if Calo had simply communicated the change (“we’re still finding our feet and need to adjust prices, thank you for your support”). Instead, the lack of transparency and inconsistent pricing across the app felt careless and undermined trust (portions sizes also seemed to half from one day to the next, again with no comms).

Auto-renew without consent: The biggest reason for 1 star review is down to the fact that after weeks of using Calo without issue, I was shocked to receive a notification that my subscription had “renewed,” even though I never opted to auto-renew. Worse, Calo had saved my card details without consent and auto-enabled renewal in their most recent app update. This is not only unacceptable but may actually breach data protection laws. When I raised it, support brushed me off, saying “auto renew was on” (which I never enabled), then casually said they’d “turn it off so no worries” and offered a refund, completely ignoring the core issue that my card details were stored and used without permission!!!!

This is absolutely unacceptable. What began as a promising, enjoyable service has now left me fuming and completely distrustful. Unless Calo addresses transparency, pricing, and data protection issues, I sadly cannot recommend it to anyone.

Delivery was awful, failed to deliver on day 1 and 2 which led me to cancel. Had a picture of roadworks of another road on a “confirmation of delivery” email. No call, didn’t ring the bell, no email, just no delivery.

Very expensive service let down by their logistics team/provider.

With so many alternatives out there - including cooking yourself - I wouldn’t recommend.

So disappointed :(

I started to use Calo this week as it seems like the only app that sets macros etc for my fitness goals for my wedding. I am very disappointed as I don't have a microwave, the delivery drivers turn up late (even if you select the evening option) and it's ridiculously expensive which is such a shame. Don't know why they have deliveries every single day - no wonder why it's so expensive :( Thought it would be something I'd use for the lead up to the wedding but it's just not feasible

The best food delivery service out…

The best food delivery service out there. I love how I can swap out my meals and curate the menu I want as well as choose if I want daily AM or PM delivery.the quality is better than any home cooked food I would make! The app is super easy to use too. Can’t recommend Calo enough.

The service being delivered daily is…

The service being delivered daily is not sustainable or practical. They say night before between 6 and 10:30pm but has been later almost every time - once at 1am. There is no tracking service or way to contact the driver. The food itself is the redeeming factor. Good quality food and fresh, but not worth all the mess around. People order meals delivered because they are time poor and this has been more of an inconvenience than anything. The app is really good. They really need to take a look at their business structure though. Won’t be continuing the service.

Firstly I will start by saying the food…

Firstly I will start by saying the food is amazing. Loads of choice, portions are huge. Meat is of really great quality. However the delivery is what lets them down. I wouldn’t know when or what time I was receiving the food, on one occasion It was left outside my building and disappeared. I didn’t realise the deliveries all came separately therefore
I would be eating meals from the day before and my plan/macros were all off. It’s a shame as I would certainly continue with them if these issues had not presented.

Bad experience

Overall negative experience. Food quality/taste was not great, and the daily delivery was a very poor standard. One of the deliveries was left on the street at 2am (meant to arrive evening before), and I was refused a refund

I love Calo because it gives me back…

I love Calo because it gives me back time in my day to day, which is so valuable to me. Easy, delicious and delivered daily! Plus the fact that I can tailor every meal to my requirements and taste means it is a cut above the rest in comparison to all other meal prep services!

Delicious food & reliable delivery

Delicious food, very reliable delivery. I utilise four times a week (Mon - Thurs) when in the office and is a game changer. Has helped me reassess the food I should be eating to help & in conjunction with my training.

Ongoing delivery issues

The good stuff:

Food is varied and menu selection is big enough that there are plenty of options to swap if you don’t fancy the selection. Everything I’ve eaten so far has been well packaged, well cooked, tasty and filling.

Love how easy it is to track calories and macros and that I don’t have to think about what to make or actual prepare anything myself.

Now the bad:

All of the above is cancelled out by the unreliable delivery. I’m only on day 6 and 3 of my deliveries have been massively outside the stated 6-10.30 window. One of them didn’t turn up at all.

No way to track or contact the driver and though customer support are polite they can’t actually do anything.

The point of this service is to make my life easier because I am time poor but it’s a source of constant stress having to chase deliveries.

It’s a real shame as I can’t see me carrying on with the service as it’s just too unreliable.
