Each product page shows if a product is in stock, and how many items are in stock. If a product is on backorder then this is shown too: “ Available on backorder | Waiting period 1-3 weeks”. In dutch the text “Beschikbaar via nabestelling | Waiting period 1-3 weeks” is shown.
This is also shown in the order confirmation mail: “nabesteld” (backorder).
This is why we dont send separate mails to customers to inform them that a product is on backorder. We only do that if the foreseeable delay is more than 3 weeks.

The extra mile.
Ordered a wetsuit and had it shipped to Canada. It was a bit small for me so I brought a bigger one and returned the original one.
After months of nothing (postal issues during covid), canyon store finally received it but were charged port fees which shouldn't have been charged at all. Due to the fact the package was sent to the factory they couldn't pay to take the package.
The staff went out of their way to contact customs and have the fees withdrawn. They then had to redelivered to the factory and processed my refund. All in all, this process took 6 months.
Thanks Canyon Store for not giving up!

Quick and easy
I am located in the United States, and generally get as much of my canyon gear from local shops and people I know. We have gone through several canyoneering bags, and my wife is convinced this bag we just ordered is superior. I thought ordering out of country would be time-consuming and always wonder if the product will make it. This product arrived as expected ahead of my expectations. I would definitely order from CanyonStore again!

The service was excellent
The service was excellent and the delivery too. The item I have ordered was extremely well packaged and I had the possibility to track the expedition directly from Canyonstore web site. Last but not least in the box I received ther was a free gift calendar for next year: I really appreciate it!

When placing an order the customer has the option to indicate an invoicing address and (optionally) a different delivery address. The orders are sent automatically to the warehouse and handled there, based on the information provided by the customer.
Information which is added in the "notes" field is not visible in the warehouse, and cannot be taken into account. The notes field is a default field in the software package, and unfortunately cannot be removed. Otherwise we would remove it.
In this case the customer did not enter a different shipping address, but put the request in a note.
The request in the note wasn't read until the next day, and by then the package had already left the warehouse, and the parcel was sent to the invoicing address. Being fast has its downsides sometimes... :-(
All good.
I ordered, we discussed if it was the best choice, it was shipped here to the USA and arrived in a timely fashion. Just like it is supposed to be!
