Amazing customer service from araon from barnet and mash from customer care. Beautiful car amazing rapid customer service at all times. Will be a regular customer when I get my next car and will recommend to friends and family. Really happy with my purchase with Car planet!
Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.
I purchased a car last week with home delivery arranged and was in regular contact with the salesperson throughout. I made it clear that the vehicle needed to be delivered before a specific time, as I would not be home afterwards, and was also told the car would be delivered with half a tank of fuel.
On the day of delivery, I received no communication at all and had to chase the dealership myself for updates. Only then was I informed that the delivery had been delayed. Despite repeatedly calling for updates, no one proactively contacted me. After several stressful hours, the car eventually arrived around three hours late — and with an entirely empty fuel tank.
On inspection, I also discovered scratches on the right-hand side near the wheel, which had not been disclosed beforehand. This was particularly disappointing as I had been explicitly told there were no marks on the vehicle and that any issues would be pointed out in advance.
I raised these concerns immediately, provided photographic evidence, and was told I would be contacted to discuss fuel reimbursement and compensation. That was three days ago. Since then, despite multiple follow-up messages and phone calls — including queries about where the service book is — I have received no response. I have been repeatedly told a manager would call me back, but this has not happened.
At this point, I feel completely ignored and have been forced to leave a public review simply to get a response. This entire process has caused unnecessary stress and could have been easily avoided with basic communication and honesty. I would not recommend purchasing a car from here based on this experience.

Car Planet delivered excellent service from start to finish especially Ideal, who supported me every step of the way when purchasing my new car. His knowledge and professionalism were outstanding, and he made the whole experience feel easy and stress free. He took the time to ensure I was completely happy and confident before making my decision.
Ideal and his manager went above and beyond to make sure I found a car that had everything I needed and wanted. I’m so pleased I chose Car Planet and will definitely be recommending them to family and friends.
Thank you so much for your patience, help, and time it’s truly appreciated.

I purchased a vehicle from Car Planet Barnet in November 2025 last year . Within a few hours of driving the car, I noticed a serious issue — the vehicle was shaking when braking.
I reported this to the dealership immediately. They acknowledged the issue and replaced the brake discs. However, within a short period, the exact same problem returned.
Since then, I have taken the car to multiple independent garages, all of whom confirmed that the issue is still present. Despite this, the dealership later suggested it could be due to “driver error,” which I strongly dispute given the issue started almost immediately after purchase and persisted even after their repair attempt.
After leaving an initial review, I was contacted and asked to remove it on the condition that they would resolve the issue and arrange for the car to be properly inspected and repaired. I agreed and removed the review in good faith.
Unfortunately, since doing so, communication has been extremely poor. I have made multiple attempts to arrange a confirmed booking for the vehicle to be inspected, including agreeing on availability, but I have received no clear confirmation. Calls have gone unanswered or been dropped, and messages have not been followed up.
As it stands, I am still without a resolution and without a confirmed appointment, despite repeated efforts on my side to cooperate and resolve this matter.
This has been a very frustrating experience, and I would expect a dealership to take responsibility for a fault reported so soon after purchase and follow through on agreed actions.
If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will be pursuing further action.
I would not recommend based on my experience.

It was a very positive experience overall. I recently ordered my VW Golf online from Car Planet. There’s just a minor issue at the moment, but they’ve assured me it will be sorted free of charge.

My daughter purchased a 2023 plate vehicle from Car Planet last November. It was delivered to our home without her having physically viewed the car. The actual purchasing of the vehicle was really straightforward. We were really happy with it when it arrived.
Roll on to March 2026 and it fails its first MOT. Its emissions were way too high. She contacted Car Planets after sales team and this is where it all fall apart! Numerous phone calls, emails etc with a chap named Ziad - who was frankly useless! He never returned calls or emails. The ridiculous thing is the car was still under the manufacturers warranty but as Ziad was as much use as a chocolate teapot - it expired. He finally booked the car into a garage local to us for diagnostics - then changed it at the last minute to another garage. She drops off the car, to later on receive a call from the garage informing her that Car Planet hadn’t authorised the diagnostics! Eventually that was done - the fault diagnosed and the part ordered but no one authorised the work to be done.
I rang Car Planet on my daughter’s behalf and got put through to a customer service manager named Malik. This is where this all turned around. He gave me a direct What’s App to contact him at any time. Malik got stuff done! He assigned a new agent to the case - Kleo. Between them they arranged for the car to be collected from the garage and taken to their Mega Centre to be checked over. Although frustrating at least something was being done. I do find it odd though that the guy collecting the vehicle from the garage refused to show ID??? Which again caused a delay - which after talking with Malik was rectified. An ancient courtesy car was supplied - it looked and smelt like several dogs had been living in it! We collected the car a week later fixed and MOT’d. I was also reimbursed for fuel. Without Malik and Kleo this wouldn’t have happened. They are an absolute credit to Car Planet who really need to consider there after sales service as a whole. Getting through to them is a nightmare. 1 hour wait times and then they hang up on you. There is a real lack of communication. As for there 150 point check - surely emissions is part of that?
Although we are pleased with the outcome and thankful to Malik and Kleo - we would not purchase from Car Planet again and wouldn’t recommend them.

I love the car we bought from Car Planet but everything took so long. The process of going through all the ‘extras’ to buy was very tedious. We waited so long for them to look at my car to give us a part exchange price only for it to be way less than it was worth.
After sitting waiting for ‘paperwork’ my husband asked what the hold up was, the young lady didnt know we were waiting for her. Car still had not been valeted. I had to ask twice about the tyre pressure to be checked as the warning light had come on. All in all we were there for three and a half hours and nearly missed the post office to get it taxed. Very stressful.

There was clear communication from the start and availability to make an appointment same day for test drive. I was served by Dorian, who was excellent. He made sure to show me every detail of the vehicle and the specs. He was very thorough. I’d recommend him.

Terrible, I've not even purchased a vehicle and I'm receiving emails about a purchase in someone else's name to my email( which has a completely different name) clearly no checks carried out and now I have to chase up and sort.

So back on 3rd Jan 2026, my day started with excitement and promise! .....or so I thought, reserved the car I liked and arrived at barnet branch with my dad in tow. Planning on seeing a guy called Casper sales person.
1/12 hours later still waiting to see the car to be told issue with battery, they were trying to fix. Turned out someone didn't tighten the screw!
Hmm.....I should of run and taken dad there and then, unfortunately I didn't listen to my gut and gave them the benefits of the doubt. Hmmm..... Silly me.....
Three hours since arrival and still waiting around this time not really sure what for, but I had tried the bmw Series out, that I had wanted to see..... At one point I did get very annoyed with all the lack of information and communication from the sales person Casper.... Told him that I wanted my fiat key back, and I would leave, he was the sales person selling me a car not the other way round! ....I have a underlined chronic pain condition (disabled) and the waiting and being stressed was making me very fatigued and fed up.... In a lot of pain etc....
Eventually we got to the paperwork and key part, but only one key very strange indeed, considering most car are with two keys... I say this as a lot of other review people have said they only get one key? ....
So one month (1st feb) from having the car I notice water build up on the inside passenger seat well at the back.... Thinking this is very strange and just deal with it.....couple of weeks later I notice the same area is wet again and think hmm....report it to car planet..... But before I get chance to speak to them I get a problem with the fuel cap...won't open. End up calling, cp to ask how to get the car looked at as I have the rac warranty... The young lad tells me that I need to call them directly and I tell him that only information on the app is carplanet number.
Eventually I get to speak to someone about the problem at warranty company. They tell me I can use the list of companies/garages and pick near by one. When I phone a couple of near by ones they tell, me they don't do that specialize work.....
So I arrange to take my bmw to a dealer repairs garage near to me and they diagnose the problem. I just end up paying for it due to the policy of no third party warranty etc.. March 1)
Then they also tell me there is a significant oil leak... I get this via video contact car planet and arrange visit to one of the listed garages in Sandhurst near me... It's now March 15th/20th. Friday I drop the car off.
The garage looks at the problem oh should I say it's now problems!..... The dealership drags they heals with replies to the quote online then disagrees without and say no....to any repair done at Sandhurst garage.... They don't inform me untill I keep phoning or emailing for information etc...eventually a guy called Ziyad emails me to tell me they will take the car away on the Friday, so no information or car for one week....only good thing they did give me curtsey car, even if it's manual and 14 years old dirty and booze bottle in the car left behind!
I'm still without my car three weeks later and have had to file formal complaint with motor finance company. Car planet say they are dealing with the repairs inhouse garage....not sure where it is and it's only because the Sandhurst garage staff informed me what was going on that I even know they took my car away...... Time etc on that Friday, The work quoted for was injectors oil leak and fuel leak etc... the Sandhurst garage said I shouldn't of been driving the car..it was classed as an MOT fail just for the fuel fumes it was giving off. Also explains the water I found fumes build up and vapor that had become water after period of time.......
There has now been some communication from after sales staff called Kleo, he seems to know what is going on and keeping me updated so far... Only reason it two star. Everyone else involved well me I say go back to communication school!.if you sell expect to have to treat a human being with respect and dignity. After sales should be the priority as this leads to happy people and more people recommending the company. Let's pray and hope that my car is repaired and safe to drive once I have it back... Because believe me cp have not seen my ugly side yet!
I would be very savvy with this company they sell a motor as is and don't really care if it's safe at all..... I will be going through legal channels to get advice what I can do next...... In a positive world my car will come back new and safe.

I first purchased a Seat Tarraco, Reg FV69 FYC on the 8th of March, I was seen by a representative called Ideal, on the test drive he explained all services advised by the manufacturer had been completed (timing belt at 60,000 or 5 years included).
Once inside I told Ideal that extra packages were not required, he then tried to sell me paint protection, bumper to bumper cover, tyre cover, windscreen cover, & a whole host of extras that I already told him I didn't require.
When it came to the price I was pleased to be informed that the 120 point inspection had been carried out but still had some concerns over the timing belt. I was then told by all the staff that the vehicle had a timing chain which it does not, following this they said all services were up to date but nobody would bother doing the timing belt.
They then provided the invoice with all extras added on, I explained none of this was required or requested which they eventually conceded to.
I was then left for 2 hours waiting for the next section (documentation, tax, logbook) to see me, like many others on the day it appeared that once one of the 20 salesmen had seen you there was very little interest in providing a smooth transaction or any feeling of good will.
The car was completely empty of fuel & washer fluid during the test drive, they promised both would have a small amount added yet upon leaving nothing had been done.
On the drive home the cars engine warning light illuminated, likely due to slow driving conditions by the previous owner and a clogged EGR/DPF, I reported this to Car Planet the next day. They told me they would collect the car but this would take over a week, they then would issue a refund but only if they deemed there to be an issue.
On return the Car was refunded but -£250 for the log book. This was sent as soon as it arrived, recorded delivery & arriving with them on the 31/3.
Since then I've been consistently lied to, passed to every department, promised calls to refund the amount, and generally treated like a fool for over a week.
I wouldn't advise anyone to go anywhere near Car Planet, they're young guys, paid on commission, trying to lie their way through selling cars. The sales techniques are high pressure but with no mechanical knowledge in the whole showroom to back it up.
The customer service is none existent, the after sales line often has over an hour wait & they clearly have no concern for their customers or honouring the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which entitles customers to a full refund within 14 days of purchase for faulty products.
I've since purchased a car from another provider, having a quick, pressure free, and enjoyable experience.
Avoid Car Planet.

The cost of the car/finance that was on the final paperwork was not the amount we agreed in the office. We sat in the office for 5 hours going over paperwork and numbers, which was fine at the time but to then see it’s not what was submitted or what we originally agreed isn’t ideal. They have said they’re sorting it but hasn’t yet been resolved. They have told me I will have to wait for 6 weeks for a response, which is really unacceptable when I have been misled and mis-sold . Using Car Planet with their supposed excellent customer service according to their advertising, means they have fallen well below the basic expectation of looking after their customer. I would not recommend using them if you want a company to have your needs and rights protected. Total rip off and absolutely zero action or apology, just stuck with a bill for warranty ,servicing and upholstery protection that we specifically said we didn’t want but was added to the bill without our knowledge. We are going to the financial services ombudsman as this is a total con and many others have posted similar complaints on Facebook. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

I have tried to buy a high end vehicle twice from the Barnet site, without success First visit, I paid £250 deposit for a X6 BMW, that was in preparation, only to find that it was sold to another customer, It took me a month to get my deposit back, after countless phone calls, Not impressed. I thought I would give Car Planet the benefit of doubt, I found a Mercedes GLC £28,800, I was shown the car by their rep Jason, I test drove the car and was keen to make the purchase, I did point out to Jason a few issues with the bodywork, scratches etc, He photographed the points I raised and said he would get them done, and call me to update for collection, or I could take it and make a claim after taking out the body care in a few weeks which I found very unprofessional. We went back to the office and he was more interested in me giving him a google review than closing the deal.
Very Very disappointed in the lack of professional conduct, Will never use this company again.

Do not trust this bunch of muppets!!!
Went there on Good Friday to look at a car with my son who had spoken to them 2 days before & paid the £99 reservation fee. He had booked a test drive for during that same call.
When we arrived there was no one at the reception desk. Eventually a "suit" came out with 3 other guys & asked if we had been seen. He did not stop walking & said that he would get a "sales executive" out to see us & another guy who was waiting. A guy came out & led us to a large sales office. He asked us what car we were there to see. My son gave him the registration & was told they had sold that car 2 hours before despite the fact that my son had reserved it. He pointed out that the reservation had expired at 10 o'clock that morning but they had not bothered to tell us. I can only guess that once we were there we would just look for another car. When I expressed our displeasure he just laughed & walked away leaving us to find our own way out.
When we got outside i saw the "suit" take a cigarette from a packet & hen screw up the empty packet & through it on the ground in their car park. Not a great look for the company.
We also discovered the car they were selling was subject to a manufacturers recall, obviously this was not mentioned in the listing.

When selling the car they are 100% always available to talk to you and hear what you need to say once you have the car on the other hand! Different story
Arrived dirty as if it had a quick hoover and thats it!! Then I had issues with the car which they booked in to a garage which I can only describe as a shed in a pig farm that told us they would have the car for over a week
I contacted car planet about a curtesy car in the time being and got ignored for 3 days then was informed the agent I was working with is no longer with the company.. I appreciated this reply and they informed me they would sort it out and I can can confirm since that email I still have not been contacted and I still don't have my car back! Absolute joke.
They also didnt book the car into the said garage until the last day of the warranty probably to play it safe if anything else occurs they can say its not their problem
My advice would be to avoid this company the after care is a mess and definitely won't be using again
