Carrier Corporation is a global provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Founded in 1915 by Willis Carrier, who is widely credited with inventing modern air conditioning, the company has played a central role in shaping indoor climate control technology for more than a century. Carrier offers a broad portfolio of products, including central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless mini split systems, and advanced building automation and controls. Its equipment is used in a wide range of environments, from single-family homes to large commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and data centers. The company also provides energy-efficient and sustainability-focused solutions designed to help reduce utility costs and environmental impact. In addition to manufacturing HVAC equipment, Carrier supports installation, maintenance, and service through a network of contractors and distributors. This service ecosystem helps ensure systems are properly sized, installed, and maintained for long-term performance. For consumers evaluating Carrier on a platform like Trustpilot, key considerations often include product reliability, system efficiency, installation experience, customer support, and long-term maintenance costs. As with most HVAC brands, user experiences can vary depending on the contractor installing the system and the specific application of the equipment.

My house was originally outfitted with three Carrier Comfort grade systems. These performed well for 20 years. In June of 2024 I replaced these with three new Carrier Performance grade systems and bought warranties on each. These have been maintained since new by the seller (Ross & Witmer, Inc). I June if this year one of the new compressors developed internal freon leaks, in July one of the air handler blower motors failed. These repairs cost over $3000 and the seller says these repairs are not covered by the warranties. I am very disappointed in Carrier and their warranties.

We bought a carrier air conditioner barely two years ago and had it installed by a certified company. It is now 105° and our air conditioning does not work because of a bad weld causing a leak. They're refusing to cover warranty even though it's a part that our company did not touch and is clearly a weld issue it's been 2 weeks with no response.

I got 4 ACs from Carrier 1.5 year ago. One of the ACs started creating a foul smell when switched on ( shortly after purchase ) I registerated complaint multiple times within the warranty period with no resolution, the service agents visited twice with no resolution, now it should be the responsibility of the company to resolve my issue , either repairing or replacing a defective product that I paid full price for. Now after 1 year when the defect continues ( as a result of negligence by the company , and claiming it is the responsibility of the customer to keep chasing the customer representatives to get a problem fixed ) it’s getting difficult to even sit in the room.
There is no regard for the customer, why should I keep paying their sevice / repair fees when the issue has been there since the beginning of the purchase.
The company is selling defective products.

Purchased two Carrier furnaces and AC 12 years ago. Paid for warranty and of course the blower mower of one is faulty. Issue is that the cost is over $1700 for the part and another 1200+ to install. Yes, a 1 to two hour job is costing $1200. The carrier parts dealer tried to tell me that the oem parts are more expensive for HVAC dealers than the public - I didn't laugh out loud.
I would not recommend carrier - as when I went back to purchase there was a mix up on what was warrantied for the extra $1100.
We had a Lennox single stage before - I have read that their parts are expensive and proprietary. Carrier can be used with Bryant - and in comparison to Lennox - $1100 is the highest cost.
I asked Carrier why the swing in costs - they indicated they do not control what dealers sell them for or the labour costs. This is a scam to consumers in being taken advantage of - this is horrible for the environment - that I get a 1K credit for a furnace that needs a 3K part - I wonder want they will resell it for if I buy new. ?????

I installed the Carrier 19 Cross over heat pump system

so far. I like that is is a little smaller then my previous heat pump. The indoor air handler is also very quiet.

We replaced an aging and undersized RUUD AC & furnace a new Infinity furnace and 4-ton heat pump in September of 2024 for our 3100 sq ft house. The system is very quiet and efficient. With the addition of the heat pump our gas bills have dropped drastically, however the electric is up a bit. Overall we are extremely happy with our new system. I'm very thankful for the PUP from Carrier.

**Extremely Disappointing Experience with Carrier – Manufacturing Defect, No Replacement, No Refund**
I am extremely disappointed with the after-sales service provided by Carrier and the way my complaint has been handled.
I purchased a new Carrier AC from Reliance Digital, Ahmedabad, during the last week of April. Shortly after installation, I noticed that the cooling performance was not satisfactory. Since the product was brand new, I immediately raised a service request on May 3.
A technician was sent by Reliance Digital, who inspected the AC and informed me that the issue had been resolved. The complaint was then marked as closed in their system. Unfortunately, the problem continued exactly as before.
I had to repeatedly follow up with the technician and customer support before another visit was arranged. During the subsequent inspection, the technician himself acknowledged that the AC had a manufacturing defect. Based on this finding, I requested either a replacement unit or a full refund, which I believe is a reasonable expectation when a newly purchased product is found to be defective from the factory.
What followed was an exhausting and frustrating experience. Despite multiple follow-ups, I received little to no response. I was forced to personally visit the Reliance Digital store twice just to seek updates and push for a resolution—something that should never be required from a customer who has already paid the full purchase price.
While the Reliance Digital team eventually started responding, Carrier's position has been extremely disappointing. Despite the confirmed manufacturing defect in a newly purchased product, Carrier has refused to provide a replacement or refund. Instead, I have been asked to accept repairs and continue using a product that was defective from the beginning.
As a customer, I find this completely unacceptable. I purchased a brand-new AC, not a refurbished or repaired unit. If a manufacturing defect is identified immediately after purchase, the customer should not be expected to bear the inconvenience, uncertainty, and loss associated with a faulty product.
I am posting this review to make other customers aware of my experience and to request that Carrier reconsider its position. I expect a fair and customer-centric resolution in the form of a replacement unit or refund rather than repairs on a defective product that failed from the outset.
Unless this matter is resolved satisfactorily, I will have no option but to escalate the issue through appropriate consumer grievance channels and share my experience across relevant consumer review platforms.
I hope Carrier values its reputation and customer trust enough to provide a fair resolution.

I had a great experience with the Pup program. I installed two Infinity systems, one of which with zoning. I’ve installed hundreds, but never got to experience in my house. I couldn’t be happier. Always consistent and comfortable in the house will achieving that comfort efficiency. Love it!

I've have always liked the PUP program. It gives me a chance to experience the equipment 1st hand. I have The Infinity 59MN7 with the Infinity A/C unit and a 5 zone system in my house I built 12 years ago. I recently installed a crossover system in my garage in Northern WI, waiting for the new ecobee thermostat to control it. My most recent purchase was for 2-stage small package heat pump rooftop unit that I had put in my winter condo in Arizona. Special shout out to Jaycox HVAC for installing it for me.

So far I’ve been very happy with the system. Extremely quiet and efficient. Have only had it for 2 months, but for heating and cooling, I’ve only used 45 kilowatt hours.
My only concern is that it gurgles like it doesn’t have a full head of liquid, but it is working well. Very steady. It is charged correctly and chugging along. The old system was very loud and used a lot of power.

I installed 2 of the 26 series inverters and gas furnaces which are true variable speed units. When the unit is set to 74degrees, it stays at 74 constantly. The condenser outside can't be heard unless standing next to it. I am an HVAC contractor, and while these units are a little pricey, they are awesome!!!

The Carrier website was a great way to do some research and figure out exactly what kind of system I was looking for with my residence.

I love my carrier Infiniti systems. I have three of them in my house and garage and they are all super quiet. I especially like the variable speed features on the Infiniti units.

Installed a Carrier variable speed heat pump at my last house and it was great. Super quiet and efficient. Currently building a house and will be getting the same thing for it.

I purchased a Carrier Infinity System in 2019. The old one was extremely loud and the utility bills too high for comfort. After 6+ years, I extremely happy with the investment. Its quiet, comfortable, utility bills went down, and not one single issue (knock on wood).

We had a Carrier Infinity series 2 stage gas furnace and 5 speed (variable speed) heat pump installed in our new home a couple years ago. It is a 4 zone system and we added the Infinity series air purifier. Couple little glitches on startup and set up but it has performed flawlessly since then. Keeps the house clean and comfortable with easy maintenance. Very satisfied!

The installation went smoothly. The remote HP and gas furnace replaced a top of the line Carrier from 2010 so everything fit with a minimum of fuss. Operationally, numerous upgrades. It is significantly quieter and air delivery is even quieter than the previous variable speed furnace. I love the iPhone app interface too! No hassles, it all came together and just operates quietly in the background. Added bonus, it is compatible with my existing Carrier 4 zone system!

Furnace and heat pump is good quality. I had to get used to the thermostat that came with it because it was much more fancy than my last one.
