Carrier Corporation is a global provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Founded in 1915 by Willis Carrier, who is widely credited with inventing modern air conditioning, the company has played a central role in shaping indoor climate control technology for more than a century. Carrier offers a broad portfolio of products, including central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless mini split systems, and advanced building automation and controls. Its equipment is used in a wide range of environments, from single-family homes to large commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and data centers. The company also provides energy-efficient and sustainability-focused solutions designed to help reduce utility costs and environmental impact. In addition to manufacturing HVAC equipment, Carrier supports installation, maintenance, and service through a network of contractors and distributors. This service ecosystem helps ensure systems are properly sized, installed, and maintained for long-term performance. For consumers evaluating Carrier on a platform like Trustpilot, key considerations often include product reliability, system efficiency, installation experience, customer support, and long-term maintenance costs. As with most HVAC brands, user experiences can vary depending on the contractor installing the system and the specific application of the equipment.

In a chaotic day-to-day world, knowing that our house will be super comfortable when we get home from work each day is such a blessing. We're on our 3rd Carrier system; this and the previous have been Infinity systems. Having the ability to not only change the thermostat settings but also view any history of errors is helpful. We have our system serviced each spring and fall by the installing contractor, which probably helps the life expectancy and warranty. We've found each system to be extremely reliable and the lowest total cost of ownership due to minimal repairs or service calls.

This is the 3rd unit I've purchased through Carrier's personal use program and all three times the process has been easy and the equipment has worked great each time. The first unit has been in service for over 8 years without issue. The second unit has been in service for 6 years without issue. The 3rd unit was just installed at the end of 2025 and my electric bill dropped by $70 per month since installation. As a technician who's serviced and installed every brand of unit out there, I would recommend Carrier as the best brand for residential applications by far. Nobody is perfect, all units can and will have issues, but for customer service, parts availability, and ease of use, Carrier is by far #1.

I replaced my furnace and heat pump this year with a new Carrier system. I love my new Infinity furnace and heat pump. I chose a local Factory Authorized Dealer who took care of everything for me from sizing the equipment to installing the new and disposing of the old. All of my equipment was registered by the contractor, so I have the longer warranty. Great product installed by a fantastic contractor.

Great system and very quite. My system has two zones one for the Master Bedroom and one for the rest of the house. The original app to use your phone to control the thermostat was excellent so for some reason they changed it and as of last check it stinks. But I do not need that app as I now have only the one house since being retired. Our bills are drastically lower then our old unit and it rarely gets up to the highest speed. Over two years old and all I ever do is change the filter when it says too.

My Carrier systems were installed by a Factory Authorized Dealer and are running great. It feels comfortable in my home 100% of the time. I have 1 ductless unit and a Infinity system and love them both. My installer comes each year for routine maintenance and I could not be happier.

By far worst air conditioning company in the world. After having air conditioning in 2 of the 3 building s i saved my money to put central air in 3rd shop. After installing Every year a different issue. This year the blower motor is bad .technician cost $ 832. I asked why is wouldn't be warranty. 5 years if you didn't register it 10 years if you did. I never got any notification about registration. So when I called corporate they said yes you bought carrier but we are separate. Then when I call carrier enterprise Alberto the manager said we aren't dealing with this today and you contractor has to put the claim in after ther new one is bought & paid for. I own about 20 properties & I can tell you I never have been treated like this ever. Any replacement or new project will never have a carrier product ever . Worst company ever . The best is the unit is made in Vietnam & on line with the serial number punched in the most expensive American made is $500

Carrier is a trusted brand & highly thought of by the contractors I deal with. I've been investigating a new HVAC unit for my home & have found their website easy to navigate for information I need before contacting them.

I do not see a way to respond to carriers response to my trust pilot post.
Carrier, my post was made three years ago after the installation of my AC unit. I did have my installer come back and fix all of the problems but I was just bringing it to your attention that it should never have even left the factory the way it did and you push it onto the installers to spend their own time and money to fix the problem that you should have come out to see for yourself but according to my installer carrier refused to send a representative out to see the problem for himself.
My Saga continued after installation when I discovered a giant pool of condensate on the floor of my basement. Apparently the installer attached the condensate drain pipe to the wrong pan. Apparently you use a primary and a secondary pan and he must have been tapped into the secondary pan so there was no overflow onto the second pan I don't know it just leaked all over the floor and he had to come back and pipe it. You should label that on your machines to make it easy for the installer to understand which opening the condensate piping should be piped to.
On the positive side, I am now getting very good air conditioning throughout the house and even to the second floor. Before this unit I had a Lennox furnace and air conditioning system put in in 2005 and it was never powerful enough to cool or keep the entire house including the second floor where my daughter slept. We had to have electric heaters going during the winter and a window air conditioning unit because it was not powerful enough to get to the second floor. The carrier system does do a good job of moving in the air through the house including the second floor. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this further Paulsch813 at gmail.com

Carrier is a great company, and the website was a tremendous help when looking for more information about their current product lineup and dealers in my area that could install it!

Carrier cannot be trusted to honor a warranty. I spent $16,000 on top of line AC Infinity system and 6 years later it broke and they say the part is no longer made. The dealer blames Carrier and Carrier says it's the dealer but no one will fix my unit. I'm a senior citizen with senior dogs stuck in sweltering TX heat for 10 days now and no resolution. None of them care about the customer, they got their money and now I'm screwed.

Bought a 3 ton Carrier system in 2020, and have doubled the new system cost just in repairs. Between multiple fan capacitor replacements, compressor replacement, and air handler freezing up, now they want over $3,000 to replace a meter - and the part is under warranty. In all, i paid around $4,500 for the new system, and now I'm faced with a total of over $7,500 in repairs over a 6 year period. Carrier used to be decent, but its extremely unreliable now. Never again.

I installed the Carrier 59SC2E, it is always having burring smell and dirty smell. The re-sales also can't find the root cause. Don't buy the furnace.

Like the previous review, we have a cracked heat exchanger. We are 6 months out of warranty We have Carrier's top of the line gas furnace called the Infinity. It will cost $1700 in labor costs. I called Carrier, there is nothing they will do. We will never buy Carrier again and never buy their high priced products. Buyer Beware. A blizzard with very low tempts is due to arrive in 24 hours and they can't service us for several days. 2 cold senior citizens.

When I finally got the warranty straightened out,my service provider was told we have to pay $1800.00 up front and he would receive store credit. Carrier does not own the local distributor dealers.Carrier does not honor their warranty and uses everything to get out of honoring their warranty.DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CARRIER.IF YOU DO YOU WILL REGRET IT

Carrier heat exchanger on furnace cracked after 7 years. Cost to repair was half the cost of new Goodman furnace so we just replaced furnace after being without heat for 4 days. Labor cost not incl in warranty. This part should last 20 yrs . Unit was defective yet no help from Carrier. Other furnace companies would have given us a new furnace for something so unsafe and so significant,
