I wanted to sell my car. I received a call from CARS24, and they told me that the inspection was free of cost. However, when the inspection person came, he said that it was chargeable and that I would have to purchase a plan to sell my car.

Even after buying the plan, I received no response regarding the sale of my car. They forcefully made me purchase the plan, and after that, there has been no support at all. The expert who was assigned to me has a contact number that is not working. I have been calling for many days, but I haven’t received any callback or response. I also raised a complaint with customer support, but there has been no reply to that either.

I recommend that everyone avoid using CARS24’s services

In the name of compulsion the charge extra amount on maintenance services which they don't do anything. when we checked engine oil, we found out that it was not at all replaced as against their claim. When we highlighted it then they took the vehicle somewhere and showed ua a pick of oil being replaced.

In short they increase the price of car indirectly by adding additional things which they show it as already done and compulsory.

I was cheated by Car24 rep while I scrapped my suv , I was told all the RTO cancellation procedure will be done through them & they will even provide with a cancellation certificate, it’s been 60 days & all I got was chassis plate & RTO work is all pending, upon further investigation cars24 told me that they cannot provide me with a scrap certificate which I was promised while making the deal .
Never trust cars 24 they plainly lie on your face .

The process of CARS24 is a complete scam for people who are unaware of the CAR selling process.
Cars24 charged me various fees, starting with an inspection. Following that, I was told I needed to upgrade to a premium package for advertising. A representative then called and stated that to sell the car across India, I needed to pay an extra ₹1,200. I was assured this amount was refundable, but the refund has not been processed. I submitted my initial application in December but have not yet received a satisfactory response. Even though I have now sold the car elsewhere, I have received no follow-up or resolution from CARS24 regarding these issues.

I had booked an inspection for my car, which was conducted on 22-02-2026. During the inspection, the inspector, Mr. Gauarv Yadav advised me to purchase the Sell Lite package for ₹352, which I promptly paid.

However, I noticed that the kilometers displayed in the app are incorrect. The actual reading of my car is 183000 km, whereas it is currently showing 103000 km. I contacted my allotted consultant, Mr. Ayush Nigam, 2–3 times regarding this correction, but the kilometers have still not been updated.

Additionally, I had requested him to list my car for auction. Despite making the payment of ₹352, the auction process has not yet started.

This is highly unprofessional.

Jab maine customer support se baat kiya aur problem bataye to unone service Centre jane ko kaha jo ki main jaha rahta hu wahase 400 km hain.
Fir usne local service se quotation lene ko bola,quotation submission per wo reject ho gaya aur 5000 me repair karne ko bola .jab ki quotation 26000 ka tha .
Maine kaha main company ke service Centre pe aata hu waha se aap karwa do.
Jab main service Centre 400 km run karke gaya to waha unone kam karne se mana kar diya kyon ki meter reading 2000 km ho gaya hain car purchase ke baad .isliye car 24 ki kar repairing ki liability khatam ho gayi.😌😌
Jab main by proof consumer court ki baat karta hu ...to customer care vale kahte hain hamari pvt ltd co hain aap hamara kuch nahi bigad sakte.😀😀😀

I listed my Mercedes-Benz E350, a fully owned car with no loans and two keys, on Cars24. The inspection was presented as free, but after completion, I was required to pay INR 1178.82 and install their app to access the report.
What followed was deeply disappointing.

The report contained serious factual errors... my E-Class was incorrectly shown as an ML-Class, marked as hypothecated, and listed with only one key. None of this is true.

I contacted the assigned consultant, Mr. Raju KR, who initially assured correction within 24 hours. Nothing changed. When I followed up again, I was told he could do nothing, and when I mentioned leaving a review, his response was: “Go ahead. Nothing will change.”

Perhaps he is right.

This review is not about selling my car anymore. It is about accountability, accuracy, and customer respect. When a platform cannot correct basic factual errors, despite charging for inspection, it raises serious questions about reliability and trust.

If this helps even one person make a more informed decision, this post has served its purpose.

So let me start with good part.

Decent looking cars at decent prices. Better pricing than the rival companies.

Now come to the bad parts which are so many:

1. Very poor communication with the staff
2. Zero knowledge of customer support or handling. Customer Support kept harassing us for loans and supporting documents.
3. No knowledge of the application to the staff.
4. My car was delayed by 3 days because the loan process took 3 days with at least 100 documents. Better to go for personal loan.
This was an ordeal buying from them. I would rather buy 50k expensive car with all the support and services rather than from them.

I contacted Cars24 to sell my car. They showed me the price of my car as 6. lakhs, then my car was inspected, the car was in good condition, so they got 4 stars out of 5, then they charged us 1300 rupees in the name of auction, then they did not give us the price of the car as we wanted, they said that your car is getting a low price, even though we told them our lowest price, but after 20 days the car has not been sold by them and there has been no response from them, they get 4 to 5 calls a day for inspection, but then once you pay them, no calls come and when you ask them, they tell you scrap rates, then don't they check it? Then we did not sell the car. I think Cars24 is doing business for their profit, not to benefit the customers, I think this is their useless process. I completely misjudged their work process. They didn't sell the car, they just got a lower price from the customers and the customers didn't make any profit. They are just trying to make money, nothing else.

Maruti breeza car has been tokened by paying Rs 15000 however only Rs 10000 has been refunded rest Rs 5000 if not paying complaint will be filed

I approached cars24 for sell of my car, firstly car inspection is told for zero payment then they have taken amount of Rs 355 , selling of car going 10 days or more but no expected value received , sometimes they show value but I accept that then not selling car. I think that cars24 is dealing for their profit no to benefit to customer, I think it is useless process of them. I totally misappointed for their working process. They didn't sell car only making decrease value from customer and no profit of customer.

I took the car one day before except other issues there was one main issue of engine check light for which service person named Santosh dakhe came for inspection he told me I will have to take the car to. Garage in thane I was upset but he told me not to worry and he told me to come along with him and he by his excellent serive did the work and solved the issue with in one to two hour time andsome one more setting he did him self and released the car as I was fasting Ramzan time he did the work in a quick and good manner he is a excellent worker of cars24 good service thankyou

I am dissatisfied with the way this was handled. My details were taken from OLX, and I was pressured into a free inspection. Later, I was asked to pay for a report that contained incorrect observations. The inspection findings do not seem accurate, and I expect accountability for sharing misleading information.

This is the 2nd car that I have sold with Cars24. This one was a complex sale during which many a times i lost patience. But my phone RM was absolutely fantastic.Himanshu was calm all through this 45 day journey and finally all was well. The car was sold. Money was transferred and all was well. But kudos to Himanshu for handling this with extreme calm. Ans he must be doing this every day. God bless you Himanshu. All the best. Call me if you need anything in life

I had a very bad experience with CARS24 while trying to sell my Suzuki Swift ZXI AMT 2021.

Yesterday, I booked an inspection hoping to get a fair market value for my car. Today, Mr. Milind Raut visited my home and completed the inspection. After finishing, he strongly advised me to purchase the Pro Seller Plan (₹1060 incl. GST), saying that:

My car would go for a Pan-India auction

I would get a better price

I could download the detailed inspection report

Trusting his advice, I purchased the plan.

However, when the inspection report was generated, I was shocked.

The report mentioned 25 imperfections, out of which 8 damages were completely false and non-existent. It also incorrectly mentioned that the spare key was missing (which is absolutely not true).

The falsely reported damages include perfectly working parts such as:

Both ORVMs

Headlights

Taillights

Fog lamps

Leather seats

None of these have any damage — they are in flawless working condition. I have taken screenshots of the entire inspection report as proof.

Because of this incorrect and misleading report, I was offered a price that was significantly lower than my expectation.

When I called CARS24 consultant Mr. Suraj Dubey to raise this issue, instead of correcting the inspection formally, he casually said he would “skip those points” and claimed it would not impact the price much. If that’s the case, then:

Why were those false damages added in the first place?

Why was the car quoted with wrong information including a missing spare key?

Why should I pay for a Pro Seller plan if the inspection itself is inaccurate?

He finally said he could offer only up to 10% more than the initial low quote, which still does not justify the unfair valuation.

From my overall experience, it clearly feels like inspection reports are intentionally exaggerated with false damages to bring down the vehicle price to the lowest possible level.

This has been a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I trusted CARS24 for transparency and fair dealing, but unfortunately, that trust has been broken.

I strongly advise other sellers to carefully verify the inspection report before accepting any offer.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience with Cars24. From my perspective, this company deserves a rating of minus five (-5) for customer satisfaction and coordination. The level of service I received was completely unacceptable.

I purchased an XUV500 through Cars24, and they delivered a vehicle with a failed engine. Within just 40 days of purchase, the engine completely broke down and had to be repaired. This clearly shows a serious failure in their inspection process. Despite repeatedly contacting multiple customer support channels, I have received no proper response and no meaningful solution. It has now been more than three months, and I am still waiting for action from their side.

Additionally, my RC has not yet been transferred, which is highly irresponsible. They also failed to provide proper vehicle inspection documents as promised. This reflects poor transparency and negligence towards customers.

I feel cheated and misled by Cars24. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others not to purchase vehicles from Cars24, whether directly from sellers or through their hubs. My experience has been stressful, disappointing, and financially damaging.

Their engineer came to inspect my VW polo 2011 model
Car was in great shape externally and internally
Car has done 38000 km
Branded radial Apollo tyres were 3 years old only
They took rs 350 k and said it vl be auctioned on pan India basis to get best price
Their inspection engineer told that the car can fetch Rs 1Lmin and can be run in other states
After 2 hrs of inspection i checked cars 24 app for the price
To my great surprise i found that the faulty inspection report of star 1 rating was posted for all the parameters
After 4 hrs i checked with cars 24 about price not reflecting in app
They then said the car vl get rs 45k in scrap
It was shocking to know the tactics to get 350 on pretext of pan India and later declared as scrap
I then later sold the car for rs 90k on other platform

The service was quick. Executive Vijay Patil was polite. There was a minor fault in the car. Hence car was taken to garage and I got the car back within 5 hours. Fault was rectified successfully.
