What is going on customer service at cashapp

1/28/21 @ 16:24 est I called live rep to link my chime to cash app. The IT rep was so stressed out he was answering multi calls in my ear. Yelling at me for not being able to fine the blue arrow on Biotin,then the last straw was when I missed type (jpebonnie) he cussed me out & told me to kiss his a$$. Totally not kidding maybe it was (jpabunny)lol. I'm sorry for asking for help. IDK, weird

48 hours or an eternity?

It has been almost 3 weeks since I have requested to be verified on cash app. When you request to be verified it says that it takes up to 48 hours. I have never been good at math but I know three weeks is a hell of a lot longer than 48 hours and yet I am still not verified thus I cannot trader invest in companies. I am highly disappointed in the verification process.

Unsatisfied with this app and customer support

Unsatisfied with this app. I've used it to send money on a big purchase and it went through fine, but had a major issue when trying to receive money from someone. I had met someone for a sale, and they had sent the money through cash app. The money appeared on my side, but after leaving this person and them having their product I received a notice from cash app saying the money had failed. Here I am waiting for $1,200 and this person having left with their item. I've emailed customer service 3 times with no response. My buyer reached out to their bank and their money had been withdrawn and given to cash app. Not understanding this, very frustrated.

CashApp aids criminals. In my case they were notified of a criminal account and refused to cut off the criminals account. DO NOT USE CASH APP. Their business model is a scam itself.

Still not resolved

My account was hacked even though i never had a cash app account. My names not even spelled correctly on the account and yet money was pulled directly from my bank account....my checking account is still overdrawn because of this issue.

Always trust your gut

Always trust your gut. If it’s too good to be true, it’s probably not. I put a phone for sale thru FB. Almost at the hour, i had an interested buyer that wanted additional photos and never negotiated the price. Paid the asking price plus $70 for shipping, meaning he wanted pretty quickly, right? He asked if he could pay with Cash App and i tried steering to pay with PayPal or Venmo, but he didn’t have it, so i downloaded the app, which was pretty easy. I then got an email saying that i had received payment but that the funds were being held until tracking info was provided. THIS is where i should’ve stopped bc my gut kicked in. But, i proceeded with the shipping and an hour later replied to the CashApp email (which had lots of typos and lots of spaces looking back) and replied with the tracking info. I got an email saying that the tracking verification was in process. The next morning, i told the buyer that i didn’t feel comfortable and i tried to intercede the package but it was delivered. He then said that Cash app needed $300 more bc if the limit of our transaction. After he “paid” i was sent another email from CashApp and was told that the buyer had paid the initial payment plus the holding payment and now I needed to pay $300 myself and to send it to a cash app agent - $gyter22. I know I’ve been scammed, the buyer is still trying to tell me to send the money so we can both complete the transaction. Looking at the support info, cash app has a limit of $1000 to send and receive funds in a 30 day period and does not have an agent to send money to intercept with payments. Beware folks, people are low and greedy. If possible, sell local and get paid in cash. 2020 has been an eye opener.

DON'T USE THEM!

DON'T USE THEM!! I had multiple people send money from my account to theirs is minutes without my permission. They must have hacked the account. I had $985 stolen and when trying to contact CASHAPP I was blocked for almost 2 days from reporting. I had a friend contact them for me and kept getting messages sent that said they can't help until I logged into my account and sent the support request. The final result was they asked me to tell them who, when and why I was disputing. Also asked what type of phone I have. Later of course a notice said the money was sent using my type of phone. Really!!! I sent $25.00 5-6 times to one person and then did the same to 4-5 other people? If they would have checked I sent them a support ticket prior days because I recieved a notice my account was closed and received a account pin when I didn't request. I was told I needed to file a police report but they could not determine I was not the one who sent the money. BULL! I just got my phone and again it clearly shows the person sent and then refunded to assure my account was able for theft. DONT USE this app they stole my rent money and my son's Christmas. No bank wants to work with them because they are not federally insurance which means there is no security f this happens to you! I pray no one has the experience I have had. I hope this company goes bankrupt. No BBB or any think. Try Zelle they are federally legit. Hope this helps someone

I would not recommend Cash App…

I would not recommend Cash App unless it is for use with close friends and family. If something happens that is fraudulent, Cash App DOES NOT HELP OUT AT ALL! PayPal and Venmo will help dispute with the recipient to retrieve your funds but not this payment app method. Users beware!

I was robbed by a fake PayPal…

I was robbed by a fake PayPal technician and they used cash app to take my money. As soon as I found out I contacted cash app and was passed around like a cat with a mouse until today when they said it's too late we can't help you. I jumped through hoops to provide the requested information and the just kept asking the same questions over and over from a different advocate each time. There ought to be recourse I'm out thousands of dollars!

Stay away from cash app..

Stay away from cash app... I open the account just to find a weirdo attached to it... and reported the issue.. come to find customer service giving attitude just because I asked them why they would ask me to merge if the other account wasn’t mine.. and a scam artist... I wouldn’t even use PayPal either... I’d use Alipay.. or send and receive money through your inbox except for messenger...

Just tell your Cash App nightmare story to local media...

This company refuses to fix their platform. I don’t understand why they allow these scams to continue. It’s the same issues others have faced and eliminated. Cash App appears numb to all these pleas. Really? It is your duty to bring this company to the attention of local media - it’s such an easy story for them to verify. They live for these kind of stories.

This is the direct customer service number that I just used, after hours and hours of calling multiple hundreds of dead end numbers I finally talked to a real person who resolved my issue with my Hertz Stock that was delisted, i had to give my user name, password etc which I was very hesitant in doing but I had no clue how to get my money from my hertz stock anyway so I had nothing to lose but a lot of money to get back, if anyone has issues needing resolved give this number a try, (1(559-601-6478) it will resolve your headaches , any questions let me know

They still have my money after the payment was cancelled and said it would be refunded

I am expected a refunded it’s been a week I’ve contacted the support team via email and they told me they can not provide me with any information about the refund meaning they have not even proceed it and are still keeping my money and they said they wish there was something they can do ? Any penny stock I have invested in and it has came to make a profit cash app Blocks you to where you can’t sell your shares at the time of the company making money. and then i decide $ amount
Unfortunately cash app starts with $ and not show easily where history is.
they should show RECENT button somewhere so first people can look that and then decide what they have to do.

Later found recent icon at bottom right and showing my old payments.

Support dropped and inquiry unresolved

**For anyone reading or writing reviews for Cash App, this "cash-app" Trustpilot account is not the correct one, or at least not the one that points to Cash App's website. For the "other" Trustpilot account that points to Cash App's actual website, their account is "cash.app"**

This is actually a second draft of this review, being that the original draft contained the emails with the Cash App Support team I worked with. I ran into a character limit after providing half the emails so I'm going to make do with this second draft.

Given this, without the emails, I'm limited in expressing the frustration and describing the inefficiency with Cash App Support to the extent that would be helpful to other users having similar, and worse, experiences that are very public. However, I'm ok with providing these emails, and other emails over the years with Cash App Support to address severe problems with their Business-to-Consumer model because it's unacceptable how much people have "dealt with" and continue to endure the carelessness of Cash App Support's execution.

The decision to include the emails (again, I found I'm unable to include them in this Trustpilot review) is because of a pattern I've noticed in all of my Cash App Support inquiries (around four since 2015). This pattern includes: some kind of positive introduction, providing copy/paste troubleshooting steps that inaccurately relate to the inquiry, not addressing the inquiry even after describing to them in a variety of ways, and then dropping the inquiry and communication.

Brief summary of my most recent inquiry with Cash App Support that is still left unresolved and dropped:

- Four (4) different Support communicators (Kelly, Juan, Andrea, Santiago) over three (3) days - before the no one responded - which is where this is now over a week later, even after multiple emails reaching out wondering what is going on.

- Failing to address the inquiry after multiple times of reiterating to each new support communicator.

- Repeated the same copy/paste troubleshooting steps after several explanations of reiterating the steps were either taken or not the correct steps because they weren't addressing the original issue.

- One communicator, Juan, requested personal info for verification for what I thought was going to resolve the issue since the issue has to be done from the end of Cash App.

- Following providing this info, another Support member, Andrea, picked up the thread using the same copy/paste issues to take without addressing the inquiry, previous Support member emails, and continuing to make this more of a mess. With no regard to the personal info I gave to them from their request, illustrating there was no reason for me to provide private, personal information.

- Abruptly ceased communicating without resolving the inquiry. As of eight (8) days later, I have not heard back from anyone and no one has responded to my emails of checking in.

I want to close with being even more transparent with this. I am not trying to exercise negativity towards Cash App or Square, Inc. I actually love using Cash App for personal and business. Further, I happily choose to support specific endeavors Jack Dorsey pushes as a critical problem solver for what I feel are, overall, positive. It's the Customer Support model for Cash App that is not only underdeveloped, but detrimental for customer experience, especially when personal and private info are involved and nothing gets resolved, or worse, completely neglected.

As an enthusiastic customer and user of Cash App Support since 2015, it's only upsetting I am now transitioning toward alternatives.

Cashapp CLOSED ACCOUNT?!?

Worst experience! Cashapp lastbight closed my account for no reason at all! I had 4.3k in my account and cannot cashoit any of it because they randomly close my account. I want to file a class action lawsuit against them! All I want is my money in return I will delete the account once I've gotten my remaining balance from there. TERRIBLE ! If you have any solution please help me. Cashapp must be stopped! This is happening to too many people everywhere!
