This is my first time using CCUSA and I can say I am extremely happy with the experience I had. They were there for me every step of the way to offer support whenever I needed it. Very friendly and responsive. I am already in the process of using them a send time and I would definitely recommend using them.

I used CCUSA as my sponsor when going to Summer Camp in 2023 and they made the process so easy. The website (footprints) is easy to use and allows to keep track of your progress throughout the application process. Dave is excellent at responding to any queries you have and is always prompt with his replies. I was so satisfied with my experience with CCUSA that I chose them as my sponsor for Summer Camp in 2024 and, like last year, they have been excellent. Always willing to help make the application process as smooth as possible. I would recommend anyone wishing to go to summer camp in USA to choose CCUSA as their sponsor.

This is now my 4th year heading to America for summer camp, and I'm so excited that I get to head back to the camp that I first got hired at in 2019. I first went with this company in 2019, it was my first time traveling on my own and CCUSA was there to help. They are just an email away if you have any questions or need anything before and while you are at summer camp.

When I was meant to return for the year of 2020, covid hit. CCUSA really did help with put the application for the next year. This was a really great way to look forward to getting back to camp someday.
I finally did return to camp last year (2023) due to having other opportunities. I went back through CCUSA again as they have always been really helpful and just a great company to go through.

When wanting to do something like working at a summer camp, always do research into it and make sure you defiantly want to do it, as it's not for everyone.

I'm so excited to spend another summer in the states.

I have used CCUSA for the past 2 years and will be using them again this year to go to camp. Dave and the team are so so helpful with every aspect of the process. They constantly check in to see how my application is going and are always on deck to answers any questions you have. I have recommended CCUSA to multiple people at home as they have genuinely helped me experience a bucket list experience I have wanted to do since I can remember.
Camps in America really do appreciate internationals coming to work for them, especially the kids! The kids love internationals. They love to meet the people they wouldn’t normally and learn stuff they wouldn’t generally get to know. All the kids at my camp said camp wasn’t the same in 2021, the main reasons being COVID and there being no international staff!
You get out of this experience what you put in! It’s the best thing I ever decided to do and it’s sooooo rewarding. Building bonds with kids and staff and saying I have friends from all over the world.
I would recommend anyone thinking about giving this experiences a go to do it!

This summer I’ll be heading back to camp for my third summer with CCUSA. I’ve used other companies in the past previous to finding out about CCUSA and I wouldn’t turn back!
The application process is so straight forward and the staff are super helpful and speedy with their responses.
I return to the same camp every summer and it wouldn’t be possible without CCUSA. The best experience of my life and I’ll continue to return in future!

Best company to use to get you to summer camp.

Very helpful and supportive - no question is ever too silly to answer, even if you think it’s a stupid one to ask, they’re always there to find the answer for you!

Special shout-out to Dave who has helped me a lot on the 2 times I’ve been to camp.

I have been to camp in California once with a different sponsor and will be returning to the same camp via CCUSA this summer. I’ve had lots of communication with Dave, who is always so helpful and has sorted out so many things for me which I truly appreciate. There are extra fees such as Visa and police check payments and flights, but every sponsor is the same. I’ve felt much more supported with CCUSA and my camp actually recommended that I use them, rather than other companies which speaks volumes about how great they are.

Went to Camp Homeward Bound with CCUSA back in 2017 as a support staff member it was the best summer ever. I had a great experience and CCUSA was great. I am currently in the process of being placed at a camp for this year and looking forward to having another great summer.

Great communication, easy experience, staff are helpful and instructional.

The support that CCUSA offer to their placements is absolutely second to none!

Caity especially has always answered every little question almost immediately and with the utmost knowledge.

The support they offer remains consistently excellent regardless of prior to flying out or during your time at camp.

It’s not the kind of job you do for monetary gain - at least not in your first year - but the experience is world changing and life defining and CCUSA are the most supportive camp company I have experienced.

I have used CCUSA as my sponsoring agency for 8+ summers and can honestly say that Caity and the team are absolutely incredible at what they do. Quick to respond, helpful and informative with every query.

I’m a student in my third year of university and I’m about to go back to a camp America for the 3rd time now. I have been promoted after just 2 summers to a head councilor role showing there are opportunities to progress and earn a good wage if you enjoy it and would like to return to camp after your first year. It’s a great experience and you meet so many new people from all around the world, with many becoming some of my closest friends. You get to explore a new place in a safe environment and I couldn’t recommend it enough. CCUSA take you through the process with their easy to follow guide and by showing you exactly what you need to do next in your online dashboard.

Compared to my last company I went through I have had LOADS of support and assistance from CCUSA! I email them whenever I get stuck along the process and they help me out. This is my 3rd year going back to camp and it's gone so smoothly and I think that is partly due to the fact that CCUSA have been keeping me updated with deadlines for forms, replying to emails etc.

P.S., The fees are roughly the same with any company, do your research about the fact you pay for a police check, the visa and flight which will bring the price up. But you're paying fees to the company to help you process all of these things and sponsor you to go!

Honestly, don't get involved or sign up with CCUSA or any other cultural exchange companies. To be blunt, they're one of these checkout merchants. Whereby they'll appear at universities, usually at the start or during the academic year. Peddling, promoting, and enticing students with program discounts to sign up. CCUSA, along with the other companies, are all in competition with each other to place multiple participants and collect their "finder fee" at the America Summer Camps due to the long history of the massive labour shortage. At camps, American college students would rather further their career prospects than supervise children during the summer. The program costs and additional fees are well over what the individual would earn throughout working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 9 weeks. It's not economically viable for a UK student!

I have had a conversation with you and I know Camp Caribou Owner/Director Bill Lerman and Alex Rotman personally. He didn't speak highly of CCUSA, as I posted in the thread they both said that companies like yours have placement targets.

Furthermore, highly doubt you placed a girl at Camp Caribou in Maine, as it is an All-Boys- run Summer camp.

I agree that the cost-of-living crisis hit me hard, my friends, and didn't apply just because it was too expensive. The programme agreement is wordy. There isn't a guarantee of a job; it's the needs of the camp and the camp director.

You and CCUSA aren't operating the camps; you just have recruitment targets for me to place potential participants at camps.

My university, York, doesn't offer bursaries. I have spoken to a total of 35 different UK universities on the careers team. And they don't offer any funding or bursaries to students to fund a culture exchange programme they haven't even heard of at CCUSA.

Camp California was an unbelievable experience!! Having never been to or worked at a summer camp before, I was unsure what to expect.. but camp was everything that I imagined and more. We were looked after by all the returning staff and the work we did was incredible, I’d love to go back!!

If you are planning on doing a summer camp I can’t recommend going through CCUSA enough. Any questions or queries I had were always answered. It made the process so easy and efficient. A shoutout to Duncan Jane who had all the answers I needed and made it a stress free experience!

I’ve used ccusa as my summer camp agency for 2 years (now going on to my third). Every issue or worry I had they put it to rest. They are easily contacted and will usually get back to you very quickly. They make such an amazing experience so easy and worry free. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

I’ve used CCUSA every year since 2016 to work abroad, and they’ve always been nothing but flawless! The support is impeccable and the programmes are life changing.
