NEVER join CellC!

NEVER join CellC!! Their service and communication is absolutely pathetic!
I received no income through my business in Dec, so my debit order bounced 1/1 and I immediately made an arrangement with them to make double payment end of Jan (ref # and all). Yet, they have, after various emails and calls in this regard, just deducted the amount for a 4th time this month, costing me R150 per debit order bouncing😥

Worst marketing "strategy"

Worst marketing "strategy". If you give this company your information or use their network, expect to be bombarded with sms's and even direct pop ups on your phone through the sim card. I don't know who at cell c thought that would be a good idea. I paid for my phone, sim, data etc. I don't expect forced marketing. Your phone will feel like one of those services that offer a free option but you're forced to watch ads except you would have still paid. Don't think they even care for the feedback so this is just a warning to those considering this network in the interest of transparency.

Last year around October a consultant…

Last year around October a consultant phoned me offering a contract phone which I decided to take. Upon receiving the device I realized that was not the correct one I called customer care, they sent courier to collect it. After days received a emailto say that I must phone for replacement. The service I received from 145 customer care is very pathetic and disgusting, I spoke to almost 5 people or more for almost 3 days without anything. Until I told them to just cancel everything because their service is horrible. To my surprise now I they debited my account which I reversed. Now I receive statements that I owe them and account handed for collection. Send an email, they will investigate and until now, they have not done anything and it affected my credit rating, I can't take a contract anywhere.
This cell c is very bad it just needs to be closed down, is destroying our lives.

We had been a CellC fibre customer for…

We had been a CellC fibre customer for about 6 years. In May 2021 during the COVID lockdown we decided to run our office from home. Instructions were given to Cell C to debit our company account in future all information was supplied and confirmation was received. At the end of April 2022 our internet went down .Cell C support we notified ( ticketCF002023 Siphelele Ntombela) was received but no response and no action. On phoning some days later I was told by the support contact our account was terminated ( no reason given all debit orders up to date) instructed them to reactivate. Still no action.
We therefore instructed them to terminate as of 30 april 2021 and a debit order was paid for the cancellation period despite no connection .We received a confirmation email from Thabang Letsie by return confirming the same and the account was up to date.
Early May we struggled to get Cell C to release our fibre line to Coolideas and it only happened with the intercession of our IT consultants a week into May 2021. To date our new ISP CoolIdeas have offered excellent support.
Question.How do Cell C Fibre retain clients with their complete lack of support to old established clients.?
CellC fibre now appeared to have a collection agency attempting to badger us about an unpaid account. My comment 'see you in court"

cell c if iwould give it 0 stars i would network services is terrible i wouldnt say the load shedding outages are the cause cell c has always been this terrible when it comes to network services i live in the middle of joburg cbd area but still, mtn is the best network service provider stay away from cell c as you have plenty of options to choose the best reliable network provider cell c just need to ease up when it comes to their price plans and focus on the real work they promised their consumers which is network services

Cell c has unethical business practice

The sales guys were great in getting me the devices I needed but once delivery was made I realized that both devices were faulty. I contacted them within the required period to collect the devices. They took a month to respond with a request for a collection Address but they never pitched. I sent emails and made calls without any success. I stopped the payment but they kept trying and payments went through. It's been few months down the line and they just ghosted me. The walk in shop said they don't take devices that were purchased online. I don't recommend anyone to use cell c services because this was a clear indication of unethical business practices and no customer care. It makes sense why it's not doing well as a business. Day light robbery if you ask me. Very unhappy.

Very disappointed with Cell c's service.
I went to Cell c Tygervalley store to open a new application for a contract on 22/09/2022. I handed in my ID and bank statement for Huawei Nova double deal. I was called by the consultant the next day that the application was approved, only when i reached the store, he presented Oppo brand to me and telling me that Huawei is not compatible with google. I asked him for a demo phone, he said that there isn't any in the store but he is personally using to newer version. He really pushed for that Oppo brand, other options I was asking for like A23 samsung, he told me no stock. He opened the box of one of the two phones, i took the phones and return them in the store as they were, in less than 2 hours, time to drive to my house and back, i asked for other option, however the consultant took the phones in, and advise that he will call me in 7 days to come back and then i can sign for other phones, he mentioned that "it is cell c policy, he can even call a manager to confirm that to me". Dear CellC Team,

I returned the 2 phones back to the store in Tygervalley center to the same service consultant who assisted me on the same day as they were not compatible with my house setup and also realized that they were not the quality I was looking for, unfortunately. The cellC consultant advised that the contract will be cancelled before he can offer us other telephone options.
Today on Monday, I am coming from the store and the same consultant advised us that we need to wait for 7 days, claiming that's CellC policy. I consider this email will serve as a cancellation for this contract as I didn't use the phones and am waiting for CellC to authorise the consultant for more desirable options.

I went twice to the store without any success, I even call their call center. Until in second week of October, i went to the store and the consultant advised that the matter was resolved and if i needed other phones, i could come in. With the sad experience, i didn't want anymore.
And only now i saw a debit order went through my bank account of R785,74. I went to the bank and reverse it, why do you want payment for something I don't have?, that is being dishonest. Please kindly stop that illegal debit order on my account.

Absolutely poor and disgraceful

Absolutely poor, I'm disgusted and frustrated as I have at two occasions received fraudulent contacts from Cell C. I followed all the necessary procedures and submitted the documentation in order for the contracts to be removed from KY account and canceled. After months of following up via telephone and emai repeating my story to every consultant the matter I told the case is still in progress. In the meantime I'm being billed and the amounts gets deducted from account. I honestly don't know where to anymore as they need to refund me and months later they are just taking my money. No feedback from them. Never will I make use of them ever again.

Cell C staff not doing their job

Last year in July, I gave notice to Cell C to end ****le stick contract. They read the e-mail, but did not cancel the contract. End of that month, I received an invoice. Again I contacted them, they said they will cancel, but did not. After that, books of communication has been going on between me and Cell C, but they do not credit the "arrear" amount as they are suppose to. They handed me over to attorneys, and I explained to them as well the whole useless situation. Yet, they keep calling me. And now my credit score is affected as I am ÄCCORDING TO CELL C 2 months in arrears with Cell C (WHICH I AM NOT!!!)

Very disappointed

I don't want to even give the 1 star. In June 2022,they couldn't find my payment even though I have emailed them all of my bank statements on several occasions. Finally they did. I requested a cancelation and followed proper procedures only to later find out that my contract was never canceled. I tried again in August giving the 30days prior cancelation notice. My contract was officially canceled on 29 September 2022 but I am stilled being billed for instaments that I have fully paid off and a cancelation fee that I don't owe.
The service is terrible. The agents are rude with bad attitudes and they never solve the problem. I am still waiting for feedback since I refuse to pay money that I do not owe.

Month to month contract I signed converted to a 24 month contract without informing me

Wanted to cancel my month to month Cell C contract only to be told it will cost me R4900 as it expires August 2023.
They converted all the month to month contracts to 24 month contracts hiding behind TCs giving them the right to change the terms of the contract of which I never signed neither given a copy of the TCs in spite of requesting a copy.
My contract clearly states it shall run month to month until such time as it’s cancelled. Cell C has no integrity they are totally devious and dishonest.
I never wanted a 24 month contract and opted for a month to month contract from the outset. They can’t produce a signed copy of the TCs with my signature accepting that they may make changes to contracts without giving the option to decide.
I wonder how many other people are aware of Cell Cs underhanded conduct and have had their contracts converted to 24 months being un aware. It’s obvious that a 24 month contract is far more valuable to their business then a month to month contract.
So far no manager has made contact with me or tried to resolve my complaint they simply don’t respond neither will they take my calls.

Cell C does not have customer service

Cell C does not have customer service. I ordered a prepaid data card online and just dont receive it. I send them proof of payment via paypal but they just dont acknowledge the proof of payment. Why cant they check there bank statements. It must be to much trouble for prepaid. I would not recommend anyone to buy online something from them

I can't even give them one star

I can't even give them one star. The customer service is so poor. I requested my contract to be cancelled in the beginning of September. I still have a contract and now it is my problem to get the contract cancelled as someone did not do their job properly.

They have loads of excuses and then still expect one to pay for their mistakes. I told them I'm not going to pay as I gave 30 days notice.

Disappointing service

There should be a zero rating as 1 star is not correct however that was the only option I had. I called for an upgrade and the consultant offered me a samsung A74 so I took it only to receive delivery of an Oppo A74. I called them and was told they will send the courier company to take it back cos the consultant misinformed me and the call was recorded however it is gone 3 weeks and nobody has come. I called many times I even asked for team leaders and was told they will call me back but im still waiting. I have names of everyone I spoke to and reference numbers. I am very disappointed with the service. I mean how can u sell an oppo as a samsung. Now I am told I cannot return as the 7 day period is over. I even emailed customer service and guess what no response. I need to contact the ombudsman now as I am tired of the run around.

Absolute Rubbish

I needed to do a sim swap as my phone was stolen, CellC stores are required as per their own company policy to give you an un-ricad sim card that you can use to do this through their call centre.

the Davenport store outright refused to give me the new sim card, I even had them speaking to the call centre agent and they refused. the reason given "The Owner doesnt allow this anymore".

They also claimed that they are not actually a Cellc store but in fact a franchise???

They wasted my time, as well as my money. whats more, it is an embarrassment. to be quite frank, I was made to feel like an @$$h0L3

I was then forced to drive across town in traffic to the Cellc store in Overport centre, the staff their gave me a sim card immediately and within 5 minutes I had completed the sim Swap

Ya'll never have signal

how does a huge @$$ company like cell c still not have provision for tower batteries to kick in as soon as loadshedding or any power outages hit?
vodacom, mtn AND EVEN TELKOM all have perfectly working signal during power outages but me on cell c? NOTHING
im not sure if this is just a problem in joburg itself or not but im moving to vodacom DONE.

Cell c store and entire cell c sucks

Cell c store and entire cell c sucks. I called and even went to the store for same swip, they asked most stupid questions like how many times I used emergency top up act n guess the same card I used since from contract until I completed my contract payments. Now they can't even try to find a way to assist except asking for emergency top up and last number called yet the number in question was used for data and linked to my bank app. Non of my friends n family should use cell c.
