What an amazing oven, we are having the very best time cooking with big family gatherings. Everybody is impressed and the food is another level. It's easy to use, you cook large quantities of food at once, and so many options. We have cooked joints, veg, fish, cakes you name it we have cracked it.

Went to a master class. Fantastic experience and friendly hosts.

It's taken a while to put this review up - but I wanted to get over the initial excitement of owning one to really see how I got on with cooking with it before writing a review.

After 3 months I'm still so VERY HAPPY with my Charlie Oven! Since I first discovered it searching for an orange 'BBQ' I knew I would end up with one - Since it's turned up I haven't been disappointed! Customer Service from Tara and Neil is absolutely outstanding, plus the look of the oven and the impression it makes is second to none... and then there's the cooking!

I bought into the Charlie Oven experience as more of a lifestyle change rather than just buying an outdoor cooking product. I wanted something that got me thinking more about food, prep and the ingredients/products that were going into dishes I was cooking. I basically bought into more of a social food experience lifestyle - and it's turned out to be that and more. ABSOLUTELY worth the investment in my eyes.

Steaks and meat joints have been wowing friends and family; I've prepped for a gorgeous lamb & veg curry; Pizzas were so tasty (batch of 25 for a party of teenagers went down well!); Beer-can chicken was falling off the bone; Full Breakfast - Amazing start to the day!; Fish, tiger prawns and veg all turn out with a bit of a wow factor... and there's still more recipes and foods to try - Bread and smoking next on the endless list!

The size of it too, makes it easy to cater for a few dishes, considering we live in a mixed vegetarian, Pescatarian and meat eating household - that comes in very handy!

..and if you get fully involved, the masterclass at Neil and Tara's was a GREAT experience.

The love and care they've put into this product (and aftersales!), in both how it functions AND how it looks is a case study in craftsmanship, brand and integrity. Thank you both!

If you are interested in purchasing an oven like this then Charlie Oven is 100% the way to go. You aren't just purchasing a product you are becoming part of the Charlie family with events like this that really showcase the ovens amazing range and ability.

Made a second purchase from Charlie Oven. The customer support was fantastic and really helpful to arrange shipping to my availability. Love the build quality from them. Have really made cooking outside fun.

Slight confusion with delivery dates but soon sorted by Tara and the oven arrived safely.

Was worried about the length of our drive but the delivery driver was really helpful and even brought it right on to the patio for us.

Still learning how to use the oven to full effect but so far multiple pizzas, a 12-hour brisket and cold-smoked mackeral have all proved a hit (and easy to do)!

We are delighted to finally take delivery of our Charlie after spotting the Charlie Ovens in an article last year. The oven is superbly well-made and a stunning piece in our new outdoor kitchen. We went for the Porcini oven, and I am pleased we did, as the color is fabulous.

The oven is not cheap, but it is worth the investment!

The Charlie Team handled the sale and delivery with true professionalism. They found the best and least expensive shipping for me. The Oven was wrapped for protection and palletized. It arrived at my home in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in excellent condition and in only 10 days!

I bought the Charlie Oven recently. Still getting used to controlling temperatures but that comes from practice and years of conventional bbq cooking. The product is versatile and well is constructed. Tara is very helpful and any query pre delivery and post it, she responded instantly. I have no hesitation in recommending this product and company. 5* all round

Met Neil and Tara at the Hampton Court Flower Show and was immediately hooked. Coming from the land of the "braai", using a closed oven seemed odd - how naïve of me. This wonderfully crafted oven is made to perfection allowing you to do just that with what ever cooking you use it for - it is not easy to start with, but their instagram and menus on their website help and guide you very well. Can't recommend highly enough attending one of their cooking events, with Charlie and a master chef doing their thing! I am 3 weeks in and can't keep away from it - my wife is getting jealous.

Brilliant product and amazing customer support. The master classes give the confidence to experiment and enjoy the oven to the full.

We bought our Charlie Oven in Marlin after seeing it at Meatopia a couple of years ago. It's a fantastic piece of equipment and much loved in our house. To be honest, it's exceeded our expectations and our Kamado Joe and full size pizza oven have become redundant.

The Charlie is well made and solid. Comes in a variety of stunning colours. Ours has castors and we love that we can move it around - entertainment / patio area during the spring and summer, then near our kitchen during autumn and winter.

We mostly BBQ on ours - but I have used the residual heat to make stews and curries too.

Tara and Neil are really nice people too. They are always a pleasure to deal with and are available to ask questions or get advice.

Charlie is a luxury item but we feel it's been worth it.

We cannot recommend both the Charlie and the company enough. You won't be sorry.

Great delivery service, fantastic charcoal oven. Great capacity and so versatile. Holds temperature wonderfully with very little charcoal and it looks absolutely stunning in our garden kitchen.

We are really pleased with our Charlie oven (and our recent addition of the kitchen island unit) and have used it loads, especially for steak, and pizzas. It’s really versatile and as the Charlie community grows, more and more recipe ideas appear on the website. I can also recommend the cooking classes. Buy one, you won’t regret it.

The Charlie oven masterclass was set in an idyllic location on the west side of London, easy to reach with free parking and good public transport links mean even those who don’t drive can make it.

We were welcomed in to Charlie HQ, offered a tea or cofee and the day got underway quickly, everyone was welcoming and there was an exciting tension in the room as Chef Andrew Clarke and the Charlie team finished the last bits of prep and gave us all an apron to wear which got us in to the mindset of Chefs!

We spent the day learning how to light the charcoal oven, set the temperature and keep it fuelled whilst preparing, cooking and discussing the beautiful flavour the Charlie oven is able to draw from the most basic of ingredients. Andrew supported us in combining them all together to create a fantastic multi-dish meal which we all sat down banquet style and shared.

Throughout the day there were soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and teas and coffees free flowing, a nice snack of baked Camembert and freshly baked bread tied us over until dinner was served.

It was a great experience and well worth the time, value for money was incredible and I came away with a full mind and a full belly! Thanks for hosting Tara and Neil!

Beautifully made and versatile outdoor ovens that really do it all. Great fun to use and, importantly, produces the most wonderfully cooked food. We purchased ours 12 months ago and are delighted with it. Great customer service experience too.

We ordered our Charlie Oven in late 2022 and, despite our lack of side or rear garden access (and some less than ideal front entrance steps), arrangements were duly made to get our order successfully delivered to us in time for a planned family seafood feast on New Year’s Eve.

Since then we’ve cooked everything from huge steaks to shakshuka eggs to sourdough pizza to 12-hour smoked brisket. Everything tastes better over charcoal, and everything can fit inside the Charlie Oven.

It’s also a design statement that looks fantastic in any garden, while the food speaks for itself. Most importantly, it makes fire cooking easy and fun. Friends and neighbours have been most impressed!

Tara and Neil are a pleasure to deal with and gave us tips in the beginning to get us off to a good start. We’ve also attended one of their chef masterclasses since then, which was excellent.

All in all, we would have no hesitation in recommending the company or the product, and hope to continue using our Charlie Oven for many years to come.

Next stop: roast turkey with all the trimmings for 12-odd people this Christmas!
