Joe was very professional and explained everythink about the chairs and what they can do. The choice of fabrics and colours was very good, which pleased the wife. In comparision to the Lazyboy settee with adjustable seats that we had for only a few weeks, the quality was far superior. Yes the price is a bit more expensive, but as they say you only get what you pay for. Would recommend them.

I used this company to buy a bespoke adjustable bed for my 98 year old mother. This company is professional, informative, sensitive and solution focused. My mum and I had many questions. All the staff we had contact with, including Jennifer, who was my contact in the company and (Ray?) who demo the bed at her flat, were warm, friendly and patient! She enjoyed the attention! The end result is that my mum is very happy with her bed and reports that she is having the best sleeps in years! This company is a pleasure to engage with and their communication is exceptional.

Oh my goodness. My first words to Henry were,"I will not be buying anything today as I want to compare first!" He understood. He then built a chair and measured all parts to my requirements and I loved sitting in it, he did the same with a bed, and I loved it. I chose my fabrics. We came to an agreement on price when he matched another quote I'd had. I just bought both chair and bed. I've never gone back on 'my won't buy today' before, but just knew I couldn't do better! I might've fallen a little bit in love with Henry for selling me exactly what I need! Thank you Henry x

The communication since our first enquiry has been very good. Henry came out and demonstrated a recliner chair. He was very patient & explained everything and discussed all options. There was no sales pressure. We decided to proceed with the order that was suitable to us. Would recommend.

Mark came to demonstrate an electric recliner chair to us. He was clearly very experienced, very courteous and knew what he was talking about. we eventually agreed to purchase the chair and were told it could be quite a long delivery wait, but it was only about 3 weeks. It is fairly expensive, but the quality is excellent and I would definitely recommend this company.

My mother has been pressured into spending £4,000 today for a riser recliner, first half payment went out today so I called to query this and they used GDPR to avoid discussing with me despite the fact I told them I have Financial LPA. Clearly out to exploit vulnerable elderly people.

In response to Charterhouse's response: I agree my mum was happy with ordering the chair - she cannot get out of the care home and the sales person went in to see her, was very nice to her, took her measurements and went through all the features to ask what she wanted. Only then at end presented the price and told her that was what she would have to pay.
She is not able to shop around being unable to walk and is not really able to research prices (even if she were companies like this make sure not to make prices available online).
The staff member 'present' was just a member of nursing staff who are busy with all residents and not permitted to get involved in residents finances for obvious reasons.
Charterhouse took £2,100 from my mum's account within 3 days of the sales visit.
Charterhouse announced a half price sale less than 2 weeks after the visit and before the chair was delivered.
My family do not want to upset her by telling my mum she was overcharged, but having done my own research and spoken to other care providers similar chairs are available at half the price.
The sales person went in to charge the maximum they thought they could get away with, almost £5,000.
Not illegal - but certainly immoral.

I cannot recommend Charterhouse too highly from the initial visit to assess my needs to the delivery of a very comfortable, well sprung Durham recliner/riser chair. The adjustable head cushion, arm covers and Staingard treatment with 5 yr guarantee all added to the overall quality

I was finding it difficult to alight from my armchair and decided to purchase an electric recliner chair. I checked a number of suppliers and Charterhouse were the first to respond. I received a visit from Ed who brought a chair with him and demonstrated the advantages, and I chose the fabric which would compliment my lounge's decor. The chair has proved to be very relaxing, comfortable and easy to alight from and I have a 5 year warranty. The service and back up was professional and friendly

Excellent & efficient service from start to finish.
Henry came to us on a Thursday evening to show us the options & demonstrated use of a riser recliner chair for my mum. He was courteous, knowledgeable & ensured that my mum ordered what was best for her. Knowing that we needed the chair urgently, it was arranged for delivery a few days later on the Tuesday morning. Jack came on time & assembled the chair & removed an old one as agreed. He was very helpful & ensured mum was happy using the chair before he left. I highly recommend using this family run company & am grateful for them putting a smile on my mum’s face after many weeks.

We emailed Charterhouse Mobility on Sunday with a first enquiry. Tom phoned us at 9.30a.m on Monday to arrange a demonstration of a recliner chair. Henry came to us on Thursday afternoon at the time agreed to demonstrate it. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and efficient and altogether helpful in taking us through the process of choosing and purchasing a chair. We look forward to its delivery.
