I was initially attracted to Chase by its savings rates, but these have now become thoroughly uncompetitive.
The 2% debit card cashback is pointless to me, as I'm not prepared to sacrifice Section 75 credit card protection just to earn cashback. The credit card cashback is also restricted to certain spending categories.
By comparison, my Amex and Natwest cards/accounts offer far simpler rewards, without constantly having to think about which card to use or jump through hoops.
Chase seems determined to be too clever for its own good, creating a maze of conditions and restrictions that feels designed to make rewards harder to earn. I'd rather pay for a bank account with simple, transparent benefits, and won't be making Chase my primary account.
I would say, however, that the app is great, and I love the ability to create new savings pots. But it's the core product that needs fixing.

I chose Chase because the wider company is led by Jamie Dimon, whose credentials impressed me and gave me confidence in the bank. My J.P. Morgan investment has also done well so far, marginally outperforming my husband’s investments elsewhere. When I spoke to someone from the team, they raised a few useful points about my investments that I hadn’t considered. I found that really helpful, and the customer service was great.
I like the app, spending abroad without extra fees, round-ups, and being able to name my savings pots. It’s reassuring to know eligible savings deposits are covered by the FSCS.
I’ve had a Barclays account as my main account for thirty years, with my wages and direct debits going into it. I do use Chase, though: I move money into it and use it for spending. With branches closing, I’m looking into whether it would be straightforward to move my main account to Chase. I’d like Chase to offer accounts for children, including 16- and 17-year-olds, perhaps linked to a parent’s account. My children are 16 and 13, so they can’t join yet, but I’d be happy for them to consider Chase when they turn 18.
I understand cashback comes with criteria, and that seems fair as long as the rules are clear. I’ve seen reviews mentioning card declines and fraud checks as an inconvenience. I’ve experienced the same with other banks over the years, usually when I’ve spent outside my usual pattern. I’m comfortable with those checks. They can be annoying, but I’d rather an unusual payment be checked than risk someone getting hold of my money.
I’ve seen some reviews mention savings rates, but I can only speak to my own experience: I’ve had no problems accessing my investments digitally, and the support has been great. I know where to find help, and they’ve even emailed to offer me a phone call. The one feature I’d like to see is a running balance after each transaction. It would be useful, but it wouldn’t put me off using Chase.
I don’t think Chase will suit everyone. You need to be comfortable managing your money digitally. I find the app straightforward, but I know some people prefer paper statements or speaking to someone face-to-face. If you’re happy banking through an app, I’d highly recommend it.

Disgusting company allowed fraud on my account and have left me with important payments being declined. Avoid at all costs. Total RIP OFF MERCHANTS.

The best Bank in the UK for current and savings accounts down to their attention to detail and diligence of staff and not forgetting their security measures which are miles ahead of any other bank or building society in the country eg . Only Bank to have debit / credit cards without displaying the number of the card on the card ! : Outstanding Sense !
So only one thing left to do. Introduce JOiNT accounts for all of your married / Partnered customers : ESSENTIAL !

Having used Chase Bank in the United States, I was already familiar with the name and its reputation, so I was pleased to see Chase operating here in the UK.
My experience with Chase UK has been excellent. The level of customer service is genuinely outstanding and, in my experience, far better than that of any other bank I've dealt with. It's refreshing to deal with a bank that really seems to value its customers.
I also find the account extremely flexible, convenient, and easy to manage, making everyday banking simple and hassle-free.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with Chase UK. They've brought together excellent customer service, flexibility, and convenience in a way that many traditional banks could learn from. I would happily recommend Chase UK to anyone looking for a better banking experience.

The bank isn't bad, you should give it a try if you're looking for a new bank.
I also like the blank debit cards, it's a safe way of preventing card cloning.

I've been using Chase now for about a year. The 2% cashback is great and I just got offered a 6.5% interest rate fixed for a year on savings .
Never had a problem and would highly recommend.

I have enjoyed banking with chase and they have always helped resolve issues very quickly. They offer good cashback and the card is very easy to use. A rolling balance would be an improvement to the current set up. They also resolved an issue with credit card fraud quickly and efficiently.

Chase started out being very good and offered cash back on all purchases in th UK and overseas but have steadily reduced the benefits once they secured the business.

I attempted to transfer funds from my Chase account to another bank account held in my own name. However, the payment was declined, and my Chase account remains restricted.
I would like to highlight how concerning and unacceptable this situation has become. Chase has blocked a legitimate transfer between my own accounts and subsequently placed my account under review, leaving me unable to access or use my own money.
It has now been seven days, and my funds remain inaccessible, with no clear explanation, resolution, or indication of when the restrictions will be lifted.
I find it extremely frustrating that a bank can prevent customers from accessing their own funds for such an extended period without providing meaningful updates.
I am requesting an immediate explanation for the continued restriction, a clear timeframe for completing the review, and the restoration of access to my funds.
If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will consider escalating my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Decent bank with cashback offers but no way to deposit cash. Need to have another account or wages paid in to get money into your account which as a taxi driver is a pain

Introductory rates great , but as an existing customer I am disappointed by better rates offered to new customers. Chase has fallen into mediocrity and is no longer an attractive proposition

It has been a week since Chase placed my account under review, and I still cannot access my money or carry out any transactions. The situation is extremely frustrating, especially given the lack of progress and the unacceptably slow response from customer support. The fraud department has also been very rude and unhelpful throughout this process.
I understand that security checks may be necessary, but keeping a customer without access to their own funds for a week without a clear explanation or timely resolution is unacceptable. I expect a prompt update, a clear explanation of the reason for the review, and a realistic timeframe for restoring access to my money.
The way this situation has been handled has been extremely disappointing, and I expect Chase to take this matter seriously and resolve it as a matter of urgency.v

It should be pointed out that you are only allowed to have the app on one device. I find this very inconvenient. The reply from Chase only leads to them confirming that the app is only allowed on 1 device. Useless!
