Product arrived damaged

Product arrived damaged. Solution from customer service was to hammer out dent in cookware and offer a $20.00 gift card on next purchase.
Not the best customer service (in my opinion).
Gave the pot away. Bought Made In pot. Should have done that the first time.

Shipment was delayed by 10 days even…

Shipment was delayed by 10 days even though I paid for Express Shipping (4-5 days) which was the only option. I even had to reach out to customer service to find out the status after a few days of waiting without any shipment updates. I'm still waiting for my order.

It was a good deal. But I probably won't order from here again due to an expensive shipping cost that got delayed, and lack of communication from the company.

Smashed into Pieces, Poor packaging.

My order just arrived, an Emile Henry ceramic bread cloche. It was smashed to pieces. The Emile Henry box was placed inside a larger box that just had some brown packing paper around it as protection and the larger box was taped had been ripped open and sloppily taped up. I've tried to get someone on the phone but it's just a circular process that goes no where. Feeling very ripped off.

Ordering & Delivery A+, Product Manufacturing Weakness

The ordering and delivery experience with Chef Supply was excellent, the online process was very smooth and straightforward.

However, we have found that the welding on the tray handles is not strong. We have purchased three sets of these trays, each one has failed us. The handles do not stand up to regular use in our Rational Oven, with the welds failing so that the tray does not sit securely in the rails and cannot be held or carried by the handles.

I wish I can give zero stars

Horrible experience shopping here. They force you to pay more after placing the order, and won't cancel the order or give you a full refund if you don't pay. Completely unethical!

Scammers

Scammers, they used to own/run cookstore.ca, I got scammed for some restaurant equipment. They ran up 1 million in debt to their suppliers that they had no intention of paying, god knows how many people got screwed and left without their orders or money.

Mockmill came broken and they’ve gotten cozy with my $600

Bought it the 27th, 1-2 day shipping ended up being a week, Came with a broken internal part with no damage on the shipping box. They couldn’t replace it because they didn’t have it in stock, so they offered me a better model for the inconvenience and then RAN OUT OF THOSE. You’d think they would have put one aside for me? I literally don’t get it. I digress. So they received my return last Thursday (confirmed by both FedEx and chefsupplies customer service and they still haven’t even ISSUED my refund, and it’s been a hell of a process to even get to this point. Run. Don’t even think about buying from them. It will not be at your door in 2 days, they will not “ship you a replacement immediately”if you receive something damaged/dysfunctional as promised on their site. It’s all a scheme to get you to buy. Look at all of the 1 ⭐️ google reviews. Actually read them, and then go Buy it from Mockmill.ca, they also have free shipping! I have no idea how this company is in business- With Everything I’ve gone through with them, I am genuinely shocked it’s not a scam. Pathetic excuse for a business. Never again.

Humans no where to be found.

Can't talk to a human when there's an issue. Entered my delivery address but somehow it was delivered to a different address. Ruined plans for a gift, terrible customer service, and terrible experience overall.

I ordered a high quality mandoline

I ordered a high quality mandoline
It took several weeks to arrive despite them claiming the order went out immediately
I am located in Ontario so not that far from the warehouse so that is kind of suspicious
I received the product on Dec 9, 2025
I really found the mandoline very not user friendly so have decided to return it
However, trying to return it is next to impossible. From absent and not responding customer service. I tried to email as per instruction. It claims I will get information as to how to go about my return within 24 hours. Its been a week, no response. I tried to call the number then, but all it does is give a message telling me to send the email and I will get a response within 24 hours. NADA. I then called the number, and pushed the second option, a retail person who was of no help. All she told me is that with the price I paid (271$ for a mandoline) that the company made very little profit. This just out of the blue. Not sure what that has to do with my return She told me she works in the retails sector and cannot help me. That I need to email. So here I am. This company really has the worst customer service I will definitely never purchase anything from them again. I was planning on a different mandoline from the company but I will definitely not get it now that I see how they treat their returns. Wish me luck!!!

Return Policy Mumbo-Jumbo

Buyer beware! Chef Supplies states that they don't believe in having pages filled with mumbo-jumbo and that they've tried to keep their return policy as simple as possible, but they don't actually disclose that certain items can't be returned when ordering because they're apparent for commercial use...
Anyways, we ordered some Rhino coffee supplies for home use as they're also intending to be used, but ChefSupplies wants a 20 -35% restocking fee which is absolutely ridiculous!
We will not be purchasing from them again, or recommending them to any of our friends or work colleagues. We highly recommend you avoid any purchases from them!

I ordered a set of Peugeot Elis Sense

I ordered a set of Peugeot Elis Sense salt and pepper mills. Chef’s supply had a great price point on them and they kept me well informed about the delivery. I will definitely use them for more products.
The Peugeot mills are excellent . They function well and are as good as the many reviews say they are . The only suggestion I would give is read the manual prior to loading the salt and pepper into the mills as replacing the top to the base is slightly finicky.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift…

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife. I was very pleased with the prompt and efficient delivery and the product was well packaged to ensure it wasn't damaged during transit.
Although she hasn't tried it yet, she is very impressed with all of the features and is looking forward to testing it out over the holidays.

Terrible service

The 2 to 3 days shipping turned out to be one and half week, when I asked about my shipping they said they would talk to the shipper when actually it wasn’t shipped. Answering time sometime more than one day and finally the case of the burner was broken when it arrived offered me 25$ so what about the case?

When purchasing I made sure to ask when delivered they would be delivered inside my building was told yes inside, that never happened had to hire a moving company to help get them in side. I wanted a call before arrival nope got a call when sitting outside my door 30 min before we opened. then found out we had to get them inside ourselves. on fridge came with no handles
