Delighted with my Cuisanart electric can opener
After trying two different, popular brand electric can openers that did not work (I returned them), I decided to give the Cuisanart a try. Much to my relief and delight, it not only looks beautiful but works like a charm! I highly recommend the Cuisanart.
I ordered a Vitamix jug from this site
I ordered a Vitamix jug from this site, specifically the 48 oz version. The item listing stated "no returns allowed," which I was fine with—I knew exactly what I needed and was excited to receive it.
However, the item I received was not what was advertised. The product photo clearly showed a complete jug with blades and a lid. What I received was just the container—no blades, no lid—and it looked completely different from the picture.
When I contacted their support, they asked for the model number on the box. After I provided it, they insisted that I had received the correct item. I explained that I couldn’t even use the jug as-is, and it did not match the listing. Only after I mentioned I would file a chargeback due to false advertising did they agree to accept a return—but only at my expense, and only for store credit.
I made it clear I was not interested in store credit, as I had no intention of purchasing anything from their site again. Ultimately, I had to open a dispute with my credit card company due to the misrepresentation. Interestingly, since then, they have removed the original jug listing from their website.
Terrible customer service and very poor business practices. I would not recommend buying from this site.

The beater bowl is excellent
The beater bowl is excellent. I used it today and it worked very well with the cookies.
The bowl is expensive, however it is difficult to manufacture. I worked in a foundry, so I realize how difficult it is to make something like this out of stainless steel. It is far more difficult than the average person would realize. The craftsmanship is excellent!
It is also easier to clean than the plastic beater bowl.
I was shipped using Canada Post. It arrived the day it was supposed to arrive.
Staub after sales service of a defective product
I purchased two Staub cast iron products and noticed the edge of a cocotte was chipped when washing it for the first time. I immediately dried it and returned it to the box. I emailed chef supplies and the response I received was “seeing as you’ve used it we can’t exchange it”…. Terrible after sales service. This clearly shows that they will use any excuse not to honour their obligations to customers.
Next on my list to contact is Zwilling and Staub to notify them that a reseller is not doing g their brand justice.
Incomplete order
I ordered 4 cutting boards however, only 3 were in the package that was delivered. I engaged with the online chat & was instructed to take photos of what had arrived & send them to Chefsupply. The response was “to wait patiently for staff to check with the warehouse team & for them to investigate “. That was over a week ago. Yesterday I sent another email asking for an update & have not received a response as yet.
*Update: After waiting for over 2 weeks with no response to any of my emails I tried calling the company. This too was not easy however, I did eventually reach the staff person that had received my emails. After yet another full explanation for my call I did receive a credit for the board that was missing from my order.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company.
• They shipped an order that I cancelled within 7 minutes of placing it, after I realized the products were toxic
• Without my knowledge or consent, they enrolled me into a membership.
• When I asked for a refund, I was misled into believing it was returned to my credit card, but later found out it was quietly placed as store credit. This was only disclosed after I questioned it.
• To make matters worse, they falsely claimed I had opened an unwanted box, which is untrue.
These tactics feel dishonest and unprofessional. Customers deserve transparency and respect, not misleading practices. I will be going through the hassle of filing a complaint with the consumer protection BC/ON, Better Business Bureau, and I strongly suggest anyone with similar experiences do the same.
WARNING: CHEFS SUPPLIES HAS A CONCERNING TRACK RECORD OF COMPLAINTS. CBC REPORTS MANY CUSTOMERS WERE CHARGED FOR ORDERS THEY NEVER RECEIVED.
In my personal opinion, this company operates in an extremely deceptive way. They used to run under the name CookStore.ca, which, according to numerous online reviews, had a long history of complaints — orders never delivered, refunds refused, wrong or damaged products sent. Then, without warning, they shut down, stopped shipping, and reappeared under the new name ChefSupplies.ca.

In my own case, their advertised “price match” was worthless — they flat-out refused my request. The “10% discount” coupon turned out to be misleading; it applied just $10 off, not 10% as I reasonably expected. I was also under the impression I needed to place the order first to request the price match — which, in hindsight, feels like a trap.
I CANCELED MY ORDER, THEY CONFIRMED, BUT STILL SHIPPED THE ITEM THE NEXT WEEK. Then they pretended they tried to cancel, but it was "too late". I believe this was misleading, because I sent my cancellation request literally TWO MINUTES after placing my order. They read and replied to my cancellation request, saying I would get a refund in 1-2 business days. But they still shipped my order the next week. It appears deliberate to me. Based on email read notifications, they have read my cancellation request email many times before shipping the order. I found many reviews reporting canceled orders shipped days or weeks later, suggesting a possible pattern.
BOTTOM LINE: In my opinion, this company is dishonest and has a very questionable track record. It seems they prioritize taking customers' money over providing good service.
This is my personal opinion, based on my actual experience, and is shared in good faith to inform others.

These knives are not a gimmick. I have a bunch of them and they hold their edge for months when looked after.
They do no honour their promo codes
They do no honour their promo codes. I was on Couponbirds getting a valid promo code for Chef Supplies and was given a code of HEAT15. They were even showing a snap shots example from Chef Supplies website for an item with a base cost of $79.99. The promo code did not work so from Chef Supplies website I clicked to speak to an agent and was then told that it was only applicable for a minimum purchase of $300.00 plus only. My item had a value of $153.00. I get it that some company's can put a restriction on their promo codes but nowhere did this $300.00 minimum purchase show up as a restriction. Chef Supply did send all of their info to Couponbirds plus they were even showing a snapshot example for an item with a value of $79.99. So if Chef Supply failed to send the complete info to Couponirds it is for them to rectify the error with them and honour their mistake and not taka a "to bad,so sad" attitude with the client and simply brush them off! The agent copy pasted their purchase policy in the small print and again there was no mention about a minimum purchase and irronically it even directed the client to go to Couponbirds for a promo code!!

Absolute garbage customer service
Absolute garbage customer service. The piece of equipment was ordered almost two months ago and were told it was shipped two weeks ago. Still have not received the item. Will never spend almost 10K or deal with this company again! Buyers, be aware.... They state it ships in one to two days, do not fall for it!
