I am a student looking to rent a house/flat with other students, I called up to enquire about a property, after being informed that it was no longer available Georgina was incredibly helpful and friendly, noting down my information to inform me of any similar properties that get put on the market. Overall, a very pleasent experience so far! (will update later in the process).

I use Chestertons for property management, but their maintenance costs are making me reconsider. They rely on contractors with highly inflated rates—recently pricing a basic, one-day decorating job at over £1,200.

Ioana S has been a great help when managing a few issues with the property I am currently renting. She listened and helped me sort something very quickly.

Sarah Doyle (Property Manager) from Putney Chestertons was so friendly and helpful in transitioning to my new home. She was always making sure I had everything ready and replied promptly when I had a query. Sarah was also thorough when I had to move out as well. Overall a smooth experience and would reccomend for any tenants.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Francesca Moramarco who has done a fantastic job helping us to negotiate a favourable outcome when we had to renew our tenancy. She took time to listen and understand our situation before speaking to the landlord. Her responses were prompt and she kept us updated throughout the process. We would have not been able to achieve this without her persistence and positive attitude. Thank you again for her hard work and the great job she did.

Ryan Briggs has been and still is an excellent property manager, very receptive and responsive to all my needs as a landlord. I have been with Chesterton's since 2015 and have been very happy with their service in the Kentish Town area,

We have had excellent customer service from our incredible property manager Olympia Grigoropoulos. Olympia is fast to respond, always extremely dynamic and she’s also great at thinking outside the box in order to find us the most cost effective & efficient solutions for any issues we have with our flat. Olympia is trustworthy and dependable and we are extraordinarily happy having her as our property manager.

Booked a one month rental in central London for medical treatment under the assurance it was suitable for a short let. There was no wi-fi when we moved in and it took them over a week to rectify.
Even then - it was only fixed it because we told them how easy it was to get a portable one from across the street...
During these ten days we had to rent temp office spaces down the road to work.
There were no glasses, mugs, cutlery or basic kitchen equipment. Again we got some after 8 days of being passed from person to person.
First - the letting agents said it wasn't their responsibility - which, to be fair it wasn't. Our poor agent used his own salary to buy us kitchen supplies and needed to reimbursed later by the company.
There was horrific staining on the rug and the condition wasn't as advertised. The mattress had stains. This is all after they pumped up the price on us last minute.
One of the even more concerning things was that the banham locks had been changed to a generic key. One lock didn't work and one could easily be copied so the apartment wasn't as safe as it should have been either.
Alexandra Carberry was particularly unhelpful making constant reassurances that amounted to very little. The entire Kensington team was patronising and unprofessional. Alliyah also.
It took me several attempts after we moved out to push Alliyah on returning our deposit. Alliyah blamed the landlord and the 'circus blame game' continued until we finally received it back after much stress and constant effort on our end.
There is nothing seamless about their service. Once they have your money they don't care. Having spent most of my life in London and having rented several properties these are by far the most unscrupulous I have encountered. Buyer Beware!

I would like to thank Sharon Chattalis at Chestertons for her hard work in pushing through a tenancy swap at short notice. Her prompt responses to the tenants and follow through made the difference between gaining a new tenant or losing the entire tenancy. I am extremely grateful for all her efforts, close attention to the timeline and management of the process to ensure the deadline was met.

I was charged unexpected fees despite being told only certain fees were mandatory. The contract was drafted incorrectly more than once, and without me spotting it would have breached my lease. Clauses I never requested or agreed to were added. They also inserted restrictive access times that contradicted what we agreed. I had to identify and chase multiple errors myself, which was frustrating and time-consuming.
Senior manager Alina was quick to speak to me about my grievances, but despite the incompetence demonstrated she refused to refund any of the £300 tenancy arrangement fee that I am charged on top of an ongoing % of rent I have to pay them.
I shall not be letting my flat out again with Chestertons!

We have been long term tenants with Chesterton since 2021 living in the same house and we have had 3 property managers during this time. The first two, were unfortunately very difficult and unpleasant to deal with however we would like to provide feedback on our current property manager, Ann Dickson, as she has absolutely been the best one we have had. She is responsive, efficient, empathetic, kind and goes above and beyond to meet our needs and the landlords'. Thank you Ann for looking after us so well during this time, your magnificient work is not taken for granted. You make a big difference.

I specifically want to mention the positive experience I've had working with Synika, who has been supporting my account for over a year.
Synika is responsive and takes the time to understand the context of each topic and my priorities. We have worked together through some unique challenges and I have appreciated Synika's dedicated work and supportive attitude.
