Very fast, clean train. It is a very smooth train ride.
Only the immigration at HK West Kowloon abit stressed cos afraid cannot board the train on time.
Best to check in 1.5 to 2 hours including immigration from HK and China side, especially with lugguages, traveling with children and seniors.

As other posters have said, for tourists visiting China and wanting to book rail travel, this is the way to go. The service was easy and we got the seats we wanted (despite it being around the Autumn National Holiday). I have no hesitation in recommending this firm. Great communication and made the process very easy.

We traveled during high season in China (National Day vacation week), and the agency helped us to get the tickets we wanted. In those cases where the tickets sold out too quickly, they helped us get alternative trains. I can recommend their service; they were active and helpful throughout the process, and they also assisted us to make some changes during our stay.

Quick and smooth

Although I don’t like the china system of not being able to book more then 2 weeks in advance. Annie at China highlights was a superstar! Some of the tickets we wanted (even though organised months in advance) were booked out when the time come, she made everything easy suggesting alternative routes to get us where we needed to go.

China highlights is great to order and forget, they make the experience personal when they go to find the tickets for you. Well worth the small fee.
It isn’t just talking to a bot.

I've used the service to book tickets between Kowloon and Shenzhen on several occasions and the results have been great. Confirmation is by email. The actual tickets are linked to your ID/passport. I've recommended it to colleagues.

Unfortunately we were trying to book from Yangzhou to Shanghai at the start of the national holidays in October and the Business Class tickets were sold out instantaneously. Fortunately, Trent from China Highlights was able to book us a 2nd class seat. We hardly notices the difference as it was only a 2 hour trip and were thankful for the follow-up service,
