Faulty cap and poor communication
Purchased three Baker Boy caps from the company. These are now made in China. Two of the three were faulty. The first one was a simple stitch job I could manage myself, so didn't bother sending it back. With the second cap the top enclosure for the button on top of the hat inexplicably fell out somewhere within the first couple of weeks.
I wrote to Christy after the second incident, explaining what had happened and provided pictures. I eventually got a response a few days later to apologise for the faulty hat and a promise to process a replacement "soon".
I waited around 10 days and after no contact sent a polite follow up to enquire what was happening. No reply whatsoever for a further 10 days, so followed up once more. Well, after a third email and now a month later there has been zero response from Christys'.
When I shared this experience on their social media page, they opted to block me instead of communicating and sorting this out. Thankfully, there are third party platforms like this, where customers can share their experiences and other potential customers can get a fuller picture of a company's practice before making their decision to support it or not..

Review based on customer service, so far. Can't review the hat as I haven't received it, nor do I know when or if it will come.
I contacted customer service to check progress and was told it would be delivered early this week... That hasn't happened. Contacted customer service again to be told "they can't send orders out this week because of stock taking" - whatever that is supposed to mean! Told then, wouldn't be down for despatch until the 14th... So this week for stock taking and another four days the following week for some other reason they don't want to mention. Christy's apparently don't think customers are important enough to be informed about delays - that is extremely discourteous!
Emailed customer services, twice, as yet no response. The website says "normally responses are sent within 48 business hours"... Wonderful: so normally up to TEN days ( if you email on a Friday ) to answer an email!! But that's not a guarantee.
Rapidly turning into an extremely miserable first shopping experience with Christy's. Almost at the point now of ringing up and cancelling the order, getting my money back and ordering from Lock & co

Received a response from Christy's, on this site, within 20 minutes of posting a review. Remarkable as I've waited almost two weeks, since placing and paying for my order without a word. It's a depressing trend that businesses seem more interested in review boards than customers.
Anyway... Gave order number, as requested, and their response to that? So far... Nothing
Update: 18 days and counting, still no idea when my order is ( if it is ) coming. Tried their online 'chat' to see if they have a time for delivery. They are passing it on, I can 'expect' an answer in up to four days. Not delivery but a reply to my email. No idea if, in four days, they'll even tell me when I can expect delivery. Anybody else know a hat shop that actually delivers?

Unrivalled quality and value for money
Excellent, quality products - a well made and perfectly as described tweed baseball cap and very original although wrongly sized english liberty print cap ... and after a certain wait (due admittedly to the Christmas holidays sales rush) excellent and courteous after sales service, I will most certainly be buying from Christy's again.
Product perfect! (but late)
We received the ordered product, which was perfect and in great condition. However, it arrived waaaaay later than expected. This all happened during the holiday season, so that may have been the issue. Christys' Hats did say they would refund my shipping costs, though!

Hello, Pork Pie Hat
I received this about 2 weeks from the order, which is fine as they do make them. It's a little lower in profile than I expected but none the worse for that. I have the misfortune of a hat size between 59 and 60 cm. In such instances, they recommend going for the larger size and it was good if a little loose. I have subsequently added some spacers to the interior band to tighten the fit. It's beautifully made and worth the £80 or so I paid for it with its high quality wool felt and smart red lining. Very well packaged for transportation. I would recommend Christies: they do a really good range of quality, British-made hats.

Love my new bond fur felt hat (silver grey). Fine and well made hat, the size is spot on. The dressiest of my 3 hats (my other 2 is a Stetson Trilby and an Indiana Jones Fedora). Looking forward to wearing it for years to come!

I wish I could give your company zero stars because the hat and hatbox I ordered never arrived and multiple attempts to contact you to find out it’s status went unanswered. This is the second time this has happened. I have since asked for a complete refund. A refund was issued the last time too. During that incident I was informed someone at Christy’s failed to complete the customs forms needed to ship my hat to America. I suspect the same thing happened this time. Such incompetence cannot be good for business. I will never place another order with this company again. If asked, I will recommend my friends avoid shopping at Christy’s and to buy a hat elsewhere.
