We are so grateful for the care and support shown from Maggie, at Churchill’s development Engelmann Lodge, in Saffron Walden.
It has made our mum’s move to a rental apartment much smoother than anticipated, particularly with help negotiating all the forms; the communication between Maggie and the rental team was super, always with a smile, whether face to face, or over the phone.

My mother has recently moved to Thackeray Lodge, Fareham and I have to say that the whole experience was, and is, positive. The help and guidance she received from Churchill prior to the move to the continued assistance she has received from Amanda, lodge manager. Mum has settled really well and loves it there, Amanda seems to be 'superwoman' and really involves herself with the residents, building a strong community and resolves many and varied issues. I can't think of a negative thing to mention. Very happy and satisfied knowing Mum is safe and secure.

I would like to thank Vivien Bartlett for the help that she gave me while I was considering moving into Spitfire Lodge, Portswood, Southampton. She answered all of my questions quickly and accurately, and made the whole decision making easy and enjoyable. She was also delghtful to deal with.

I moved in recently, and have found Spitfire Lodge a most enjoyable place to live. The staff and other residents are helpful, supportive and lovely to talk to.

In view of my excellent experience, I have no hesitation in awarding 5-stars to the staff and residents of Spitfire Lodge.

I have lived in my beautiful apartment for 4+ years. We have a wonderful manager who goes over & above to help. I love living here in Cowbridge & we are just 40 mtrs off the lovely High Street. That's all good. However despite raising concerns on 2 occasions over the lack of security & the possibility of installing CCTV. I have got nowhere. I have recently spoken to a person smoking drugs in the car park, we have had a person exercising his dog in our garden, a vagrant bunked down in the buggy shed. A flyer came through the door 2 weeks ago at 8am, which begs the question how did they get in. We hVe several residents with ongoing dementia. If they wander out we will never know where they are if we can't view when they left the building. I could go on. So Churchill. When you build apartments especially for elderly residents, wouldn't your first priority be for their safety. We sadly don't live in the world I grew up in.

I moved into bourne lodge in December 2025.
The move went very well and the services of Britannia were excellent the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.
The Churchill staff consisting of lodge manager, barry Sales manager, Lisa maintenance Staff consisting of Tony Davis Matt and his colleague are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with nothing too much trouble is am really pleased i have moved here, however, I have two issues which I feel interested possible residents should know.
Car parking is not really catered for and out of 33 flats there are only 13 possible places on a first come first served basis with no allotted car parking space for each apartment and it is suggested that parking permits are purchased from local authority for possible off site parking.
Also, the kitchen sink unit is cheap and nasty quality and difficult to keep clean.
Considering the price of the apartments which is not cheap, i find this disappointing.

Visited Mere Lodge and wanted to say how kind and compassionate Gemma is. An absolute bonus for Churchill to have Gemma on board.

Once Churchills have got your money they don’t care.
Even remedial work which should have been in the construction budget is charged to the owners maintenance budget.
Any items such as kettles and tea pots cannot be bought with petty cash through Amazon, they have to be bought through approved suppliers at, at least 2X the price

Please ensure she receives this feed back as it is 100% deserved. I feel very confident in my mother moving in as this is a big change for her moving from spain alone. Whata. Beautiful safe place for her to live totally independently with everything she needs

Very helpful friendly informative and understanding

Gemma and the team have been very helpful, friendly and supportive. They understand people's concerns and worries and are very patient. The retirement apartments we have looked at are thoughtfully and well built and have a lovely friendly atmosphere and tick all the right boxes. They feel homely.

BOWER LODGE
I had the pleasure to take my pop up boutique to Bower lodge last week. What a lovely atmosphere the lodge has. Lyn the manager and the residents were so friendly and welcoming. Lyn is a real credit to the place, nothing was too much hassle. I can’t wait to visit again.

My mother has just moved into Churchill Living Broadstairs. Lorraine has been outstanding with her knowledge, kindness & expertise. She helped my Mum through every step from selling her own home & buying an apartment. Including dealing with estate agents & solicitors. Nothing was too much trouble.

Everything went very smoothly and all the staff are very helpful, cheerful and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have not yet moved in and am looking forward to enjoying the friendly community in the years to come.

Churchill living is a company that has conflicting standards, they ask their lodge managers to help residents with online shopping, how does that promote independent living but if there is a vulnerable resident they are not allowed to go into their apartment to check on them as it's against the independent living rule. Churchill is a company that doesn't really care once they have sold all the apartments in a lodge they are only interested in becoming bigger but unfortunately not better.

I moved into St Francis lodge 4 months ago and have loved every minute of it. I am soon to be 70 and despite being fit and healthy I only wish I had done it sooner. I live with my husband in a two bedroom flat. The building is extremely well managed and Nick the building manager is so kind and helpful going above and beyond to help me fit in and solve any of my problems. Highly recommended 5 star!

I arranged for my father to move into a rented apartment, and the Churchill staff were excellent, particularly Vivian who was the main point of contact within the lodge. Communication was good, items were delivered as requested, and the welcome was very warm.

I recently moved into Bond Lodge and all the staff at Churchill Living have been so friendly and helpful. I would especially like to name and thank Sally, who has been guiding me through since I first viewed the apartment. Even after I've moved in she has made herself available to help whenever she can.

Mum lives at St Johns lodge in Timperley, South Manchester. Steve the manager is excellent, he goes way above whats expected for his role. Always very helpful and cant do enough for the residents. They are lucky to have him!

I stayed in Stanley Lodge Epsom’s luxury guest suite for a night. Such a comfortable and warm room looking out over the immaculate gardens. Nice and large, as was the modern bathroom. There were tea and coffee making facilities plus biscuits and a great TV. My thanks go to Isobel Price for arranging for me to arrive late. Can’t wait to stay again soon!

My mum has recently moved into her new Churchill flat in Haverhill. From initial contact, initial viewing plus subsequent viewings and finally moving in, Alison the sales representative has guided and helped, as and when required. The whole moving process was made very simple as Churchill arranged everything which took a lot of stress away. Alison is a real asset and I would say went above and beyond just to ensure my mum's move sale/move went smoothly and without any issues.
