The reception staff were very welcoming, the supporting staff fast and efficient, sadly my experience, well documented, with Prof. Michel Michaelides was terrible. I found him to be dangerously dismissive, arrogant, he spoke over me, repeatedly, at one point I actually repeated, three whole times "please will you let me finish my sentence, please will you let me finish my sentence, please will you let me finish my sentence" until he finally stopped talking over me so that I could finish. He told me, arrogantly, that I was an obsessive compulsive, a GROSS and frankly insulting misdiagnosis, he tried to soften his personal judgement with "so am I", but frankly, he is not qualified to give patients mental health diagnoses. This kind of utterly inappropriate misdiagnosis, outside of his field of speciality, is deeply alarming, hurtful and damaging.
In spite of me pointing out worrying signs with my eyes, and even with him actually agreeing that most of the signs were confirmation of a particular condition, he refused to accept that I actually had that condition, effectively gas lighting me when I pointed out that I have been tracking micro vascular changes for almost 5 years - telling me in one breath "you are clearly not imagining it", followed in another with "I very much doubt that" - dismissing what I have, very clearly, described and documented since 2019.
The hubris and arrogance of a consultant like this makes for a terrible combination - a good consultant listens, unfortunately, Mr Michaelides prefers to talk over patients. What infuriated me more is that I allowed him to do this to me, gaslighting and speaking badly, not just of me, of other consultants who have helped me enormously with another aggressive condition. I allowed him to do this without challenging his arrogance, because frankly I really need help.
My condition has worsened since the visit, as I told him it has been, and I have clearly lost precious time at this vitally important and early stage in my clearly changing condition. Fortunately, I have an extensive and detailed record of the full conversation and I will be taking it up with the practice in due course, my first priority is to find a new consultant who listens and values the insight from patients; without ego, gas lighting, inappropriate mental health assertions of patients, and other deeply arrogant assertions.

Due to the condition of my eyes after going to sight direct for an eye test , I was put on spa medica waiting list to remove my cataracts, I was fast tracked as I was going blind within no time , I had an appointment & an operation. One minute I couldn’t see with my glasses at all off . The next it was amazing to see at least 8 nurses in the operating theatre. After that there was no ✋ me getting my other eye. Thank you spa medica for giving me back my sight & confidence.

I’m unfortunately disappointed, I had really high hopes for this clinic and thought the service would be better. I suffer from dry eye and I felt that the diagnosing of my condition was hasty and did not include more comprehensive assessments such as meibography. My appointments were rushed and there was no interest in following up on the treatments done. The latest treatments are used, and the staff is nice, but im sorry to say I would not recommend it and I have found another practice.

I was kept until 12 o'clock. My appointment sent to me by email shows at 11 o'clock. Not fair for a person who came from night shift. I was not expecting from private clinic.

I had a nasty eye infection during a tourist trip to London. Getting an appointment immediately was a breeze and everyone was extremely professional, nice and helpful! There was almost no waiting time at Clinica and I even got the medication packed and ready to use with good instructions. Not cheap but ok for private medical service. Wholly recommend.

Did not have to wait too long to see the Doctor. All tests were explained properly, so one knew exactly what was going on.
There are steps to climb, which may not be convenient for those with mobility issues.
