Training for my first marathon with Coach Parry
I knew the "what" and "why," but I was clueless about the "how." Without the Coach Parry team, I doubt I would have been able to complete the Cape Town Marathon — my very first — so comfortably and with relative ease. They took all the guesswork out of training with a tailor-made plan according to my fitness level and target time. I was able to relax and keep the green boxes ticking, knowing I was covering the main pillars of marathon training: consistency, strength work, and recovery. Their tips on nutrition and all things running-related, together with their timely feedback on the forum, were priceless in helping me prepare. Wonderful from the start!
Everything from the get go has been straightforward, and easy to set up on my computer and accompanying app for my phone. One minor suggestion - a tutorial on how to set up heart rate/pace zones and get those incorporated into the training programs. Otherwise, the support I’ve needed has been minimal, and the help very responsive! Looking forward to many months of training.
Excelent experience
I'm a member for only 3 weeks but so far, every doubt I had was very fast answered by the coaches in the forum. In the platform I can see a lot of good videos with tips and how to perform the training and this is very useful for me because I can't attend the live class on Monday, I'm in Brazil with 5 hours difference, so the videos are really very helpful.

Complete Training Plan
The training plans are great and the videos that accompany them elevate the experience. I already see a significant improvement in my fitness which I would attribute to the strength training routines. That was the missing piece of my training.

Training for my first marathon
Started my training program for my "first time ever" marathon. Two weeks into the training, I feel stronger than before. I also now better understand what pacing strategy I should follow. Still early days but thus far a very positive experience.
Race day not aligned
The training programs are fairly doable,nothing hectic.I’ve particularly enjoyed the foot care routine.Am hoping to run SCTM in sub5hrs,however my schedule is saying my race day is in July,instead of May.So I’m a bit concerned I might not put in the extra work that is required.
Standard Approach Doesnt Work for Older Athletes
I have been a lifelong runner. At 58 I needed someone to "give me permission" to do a little less running, and concentrate on strength and flexibility. The Standard Approach of more more more doesn't work for older athletes, and we are conditioned to fight against anything that looks like "less".
I love the structured programmes
I love the structured programmes, it is a refreshing new take on my established training. Running less and slower is a bit of an adjustment, but I'm sure I'll see the results. I'm still nursing shin splints, and less running is actually just what I need.
Results!
I joined the "Fast Beyond 50" program because no matter how I changed my training, I just couldn't get past feeling tired all of the time. I really thought that I was going to have to accept that because I'm older, I just may not be able to run any more. I joined Coach Parry just two weeks ago and have been following a plan based on my past activity/achievements and goals. I am already feeling more energetic, stronger, and happier. My personal calendar keeps me on track. Workouts are easy to understand - with lots of resources, including video. I appreciate the information/reminders about nutrition, running, and strength training. It's almost as if I have a coach sitting on my shoulder, guiding me. I am excited to continue to see/feel my future progress.

Absolutely happy I joined Coach Parry!! It has taken the guessing work out of my training and love the coaches. The calendar and platform are easy to use and all the videos are so informative. The live strength training is a great way to remain motivated and helpful with any corrections you may need. Definitely worth the investment and the guidance.

They even have a dietitian to provide nutrition suggestions and advice. I personally enjoy their once-a-week "ask me anything" sessions, where you can directly ask questions of one of their coaches. I also really like the regular YouTube 20-minute videos that the team puts out.
The best I've been using this far
Everything is easy to find in the app and a breeze to set up and synchronize to your device (Garmin in my case). The requests I had to the forum were answered promptly in less than a day. What I like most, however, is that the faces pushing CP are the actual people you interact with there making it a very personal experience.
