This is a legit site. I booked through Coliving.com in August 2021 and the reservation was honored by the host. I had a great stay. Afterwards my security deposit did not get automatically refunded. I contacted both the host and Coliving.com and they helped resolve the issue. The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5: There is no phone number to call at Coliving.com if something goes wrong. All you can do is email their support team and hope they respond. This is a pretty big deal for me. Luckily I had a great host who was very helpful. I'm not sure what options you have as a guest if things go wrong. More trust and transparency is needed.

I am highly unsatisfied with Coliving. First of all, they did no charge me correctly. I reserved 50 nights. They paid the hosts 30 nights + the monthly deposit. On multiple occasions I told them to correct for the mistake, as I wanted to make sure to get my deposit back, which clearly you can’t, if you haven’t paid the host fully. They did not, despite a correspondence of weeks. They simply ignored the topic. In the end, I had to sit with the host myself and do the calculations to resolve the issue. Then, I paid more than the price they quoted in euro’s. They quoted EUR 1103, but I paid EUR 1128. Supposedly, because their policy is to charge in dollars. Sure, but then you charge the amount you displayed in euro’s, not more than that! They attributed the difference and responsibility to me, the customer, which is disingenuous and it might even be illegal? I e-mailed them about the fact that they basically stole 25 euro’s from me. Again, no reply! Also, none of the e-mails is signed, so you do not know with whom you deal. I have never encountered such an unprofessional administration before. I will not book another stay with Coliving.
Update: Please remove my full name from your reply! Seriously? You are disclosing my identiy without my permission. Details like these show that you still have a long way to go... Yes, you updated me. But you think it's normal to charge a different price in dollars than you show in euro's. I strongly disagree on that point. Besides, you also ignored me when it comes to the payment issues with my host. I appreciate your gesture and acknowledge having received the 25 euro's. Thank you for that. However, like I said, I remain unsatisfied, above all, for not having been taken seriously, That's why I leave this review here.

I booked a room but it was never confirmed. Then I tried to reach someone, no-one responded. In the end it was really difficult to find the button for the cancellation of the room. Overall a bad experience

A pretty big inconvenience that cost me a lot of money!
I booked a shared room for one month. My check in details came so late that I couldn't check in on my first day and ended up staying in a hotel. The next day I arrived at the house to find a messy room and that my bed had clearly already been used. I reported the problem to the house manager who said he would get the room cleaned. When I came back the sheets had been changed but the bed area was still surrounded by dust and human hair (pubic hair included). I complained again, the room was cleaned again but the bed was still nasty. I complained for the 3rd time and again the same result. In the meantime I had the chance to go shopping for food only to find there was nowhere for me to store my food. There was no basket for my dried food and my fridge space was filled. I tried to make space but the fridge was gross. The surfaces were sticky and smelly and there was rotten food in the fridge. I also discovered there was nowhere in the entire house to lock away my passport, cards etc. which means I should have complete trust in 20 people I don't know. After all this I gave up and left because I wouldn't feel comfortable living in a dirty house with so many issues. I booked through coliving.com who tried to get me in another accommodation but just sent me ridiculous offers. They were in dangerous parts of town, for 10 room dorms(even though I booked a two person room), locations way away from where I booked or just super basic shabby places. So in the end it's now 4 days after I should have checked in to a clean, modern house with no stress but instead I am staying in a hotel wasting a lot of money, still waiting on a refund and every day running around San Francisco looking for somewhere to live. This experience has cost me so much extra time, money and effort. I can only advise people to avoid coliving 908.
Also yes I was offered one month free but a free month in a house that is unhygienic and dirty doesn't magically make it clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the cleanliness issue still remains regardless! A real solution would have been the offer of a comparable room in a nearby location in a house that was clean. Then I would have been perfectly happy and wouldn't be left without anywhere to stay.
With regards to their reviews on their website. I for example cannot review my poor experience so there is definitely a flaw there somewhere if people who have negative experiences cannot write a review. Hence they only have 5 star reviews.

I was really disappointed by coliving.com.
They let fake reviews on their website, and are under staff.
I booked for the first time with them last January.
I've been unlucky with the coliving booked, lack of communication before arrival, missing services, misleading informations, and fake reviews.
Though the manager of coliving went on my LinkedIn page afterward, not even an email has been sent. The fake review from the owner remains while mine doesn't appear on the website.

It's surprising.... I understand coliving.com wants to protect a business... but how can we trust them if bad to medium rewiews just won't appear?
And regarding the Facebook owner review...
I point out that review to their services weekS ago, and even the owner pointed out how misleading it could be. Their services answered that it was ok... and that they'll change it when the coliving would have more reviews....
How disappointing and untrustful it is?
