Confusing.
It took 4 days to get a reply to my calls to set up a direct cremation plan, eventually an appointment was made to visit the co-op funeral shop in Elm Park this was then cancelled and moved to Romford. The pricing on the website is very confusing until i called to question it and Ali explained it to me this should of been explained to me on the day we met in Romford. Altogether not very proffesional and cannot reccomend.

Excellent service. The Co-op representative Victoria was so helpful and clearly explained everything to me in terms that were easy to understand. She was polite, friendly and professional. Very happy to have taken out this plan, so it's easier for my family.

Good Service, clearly explained
Easy set up with a pre arranged appointment by phone. I already had a printed copy of the current brochure, so if you have studied it carefully beforehand and have your choices more or less mapped out, then the phone transaction is straightforward.
All was clealy explained in line with the requirements to help me make my choices.

Great service
My Family and I have used coop funeral services many times in the past and have always experienced a great caring service with professionalism tailoring to our requirements. I would recommend their sevices to anyone wanting to take out a payment plan which takes the stress off loved ones and family. I have just taken out a plan and it was done with care and attention to my needs. So pleased with my experience.

It was quite easy to order my creamtion online with Co-Op. I already new they were good as they provided a funeral for my wife 4 months ago. I wanted a quick straighforward cremation which was easy to choose.

I want to Thank everything Mike and his team at Downend, Bristol did for us following my Mum’s (Pamela Britton)passing. Your kindness,patience and understanding meant so much at a time when we were struggling to take everything in. You made such a difficult process easier for us and took such care with every detail. Laura Riley was our certified funeral plan arranger in the Coop Funeral care shop in Pitshanger Lane Ealing W13 area. She was kind, patient, and very efficient, taking the time to advise, explain the inclusions and exclusions involved in every plan and note our wishes and preferences. Two happy customers and two prepaid funerals fully dealt with.

difficult to get money from any promotion they advertise
Very easy to sign and get the plan, but when you go to try to access the promotional gifts, you cannot apply for them until you have had the plan for three months.
They will not just send you what you are owed, you have to have a membership card, this works sometimes. you then have to wait from an outside marketing company to send you a letter so you can apply for part 1 of the promotions, when this is done you have to wait for them to send the code to your membership card, then you will get part 2 of you promotion into membership card. I have spent a week trying to get the membership cards to work. You now have to speak to the call centre in South Africa. I thought co op were all about ethics, not employing cheap labour in Africa at the expense of British workers.

I appreciate that the process and timescales involved can feel lengthy. The promotional rewards are issued in stages and, as outlined in the terms and conditions of the offer, there are qualifying periods before rewards can be claimed and applied. I understand that waiting for communications, activation codes and rewards to be processed can be disappointing, particularly when you're keen to receive them.
I'm also sorry to hear you've experienced difficulties with your Membership card. This isn't the experience we'd want for our customers, and I can understand how frustrating it must have been to spend time trying to get everything working.

Co op in Pontefract were excellent. Duane Crossland made everything easy in a very difficult situation. Duane I would 100% recommend. He was very accessible and professional . I chose a plan prior to phoning and I told their representatives on the phone and still he took me through the selection of a plan stage by stage. What a complete waste of time.

Wife's funeral
From start to finish the arrangement and conduct of my wife’s funeral by the Totton branch was excellent. Kindness and consideration was displayed by all concerned at each stage; from presentation and viewing at the funeral home through the family interment to the arrangements for the subsequent memorial service.
