Poor

Good quality food and lots of choices this is the reason for a 3 star. Many negatives. Firstly the price we had eaten in a higher end restaurant the previous night for less £22.95 per person is over average price. Secondly a table for 2 should be for 2 and not 2 ft away from the next table. Was given 2 different size glasses for wine. Would not recommend or return

Not impressed with the service received…

Not impressed with the service received today. The Chinese manager did not make us feel welcome at the restaurant and gave us a bad experience.

Food was dry and some dishes were not even at the correct temperature

Overall service was bad and cocktail didn’t taste to the standards of a basic cocktail. They not Concern to provide best experience and make a customer happy. I won’t advise you to waste your mood and money there specially about one of theirs rude staff. He definitely need to learn some manners and improve the customer service.

On top of this Tej Raj member of staff that works at the derby branch. What disgusting customer services and angry face, never seen such poor service and attitude. Will not be returning again

Food was ok went for dessert and the cheese cake was still frozen and the churro which is a deep fried dessert was also cooked in the same oil from when they done the onion rings so a sweet dessert had a onion taste to it not pleasant at all

Cosmo Doncaster

I gave my Daughter and son in law money for my Daughters Birthday so the family could have a wonderful meal out together. As it was my daughter’s actual birthday she was promised her meal free plus Prosecco . Imagine my disgust when the told me that the waitress exclaimed in a very loud voice that they didn’t qualify causing the table next door much merriment. To me your restaurant is expensive and I expect better quality of your staff, Francesca was extremely rude and in my opinion needs customer retraining. I am 65 in March and was going to bring my entire family to cosmo Doncaster numbering about 20 people so far that have informed interest in attending , I have also just taken my eldest daughter to your restaurant for her 35th birthday and spent in excess of £175 and found the staff then to be rude and unhelpful, the plates were greasy and the food cold not what I expect from a restaurant of this kind. I can tell you I will be finding another venue to spend my money in if you cannot improve what is a very poor service

We had a few issues from the moment we walked in for our works Christmas meal. We booked for 8 and on arrival told its card payment only, which is fine but 1 of our party had cash only. After being shown to our table we were given 2 round booth tables which could 6 shoulder to shoulder meaning our party had to split but luckily 1 had dropped out and the lady gave us a chair to add so we could just fit 😬 food took ages and we had to ask for the starter as we were hungry (took nearly and hr) staff dont come over very often we had to get up & go to the bar a few times to order drinks & the online app was a nightmare so i gave up & i normally have no issues with them. Our meals then came out slowly 2 by 2 1.5hrs after arriving even though we had preordered everything when we paid deposit. 4 Turkey dinners had some thing luke warm, none if the meal were piping hot! The bottoms of the plates were warm obv from a warming plates but the top of the food was was not at all. My burger & chips was ok but way less hot than ive ever had anywhere else but was fine to eat, no condiments offered i had to wait for staff again to ask making my food go colder! 3 turkey dinner were sent back and we were told by the manager that they were probed and st a satisfactory temp and we were treates like we were lying and just making a fuss over nothing, no one asked if my meal was ok he didnt care. Our 1 lady got up to leave due to the treatment and 1 was asked to leave and security for friars called when she spoke her mind and said it was discussing service all when some of us were eating, he totally put me off my food and made it go colder than it already was but i was starving so ate it but we all refused our desserts after that and just wanted to leave. The bill came and was wrong, they send a young member of staff to deal with us and she was so confused going back and fore to us and him but finally he came over, we were nothing but nice and simply said it doesn't seem right and we had to figure out that he hadnt taken our deposits off, or deshurts and the some of the drinks were wrong! It came back £150 cheaper and correct in the end! The next morning our 1 party that did eat her turkey dinner as shes 9 months pregnant and was hungry was ill 🤢 and yes her dinner was luke warm also, it was like some veg was colder than others so all kept warm some how seperatly and then put together and left on a hot plate till serving? There was no steam from any foods on being served and we were told it was 20mins later they probed the food but our lady was on the phone to her partner to arrange a lift home within 3 mins of food being served due to the service we had received already!

Awful

Being 100% honest I am not too keen on this type of restaurant but have been to many before, including a similar place that was on the top floor of Liverpool one, and have always ended up enjoying them. However this was awful. Food without exception was cold, only bit I sort of enjoyed being the sushi and desert because they were meant to be cold. £40 plus for two of us and total waste of money given the 2 meagre portions of food I consumed ( 3 spring rolls totally cold, 1 onion ring like rubber and totally cold, mushrooms in oyster sauce — probably the best as a bit warm, chicken something which was cold too, and some luke warm steamed rice) and wife did not eat much more - fairness wife was there a few months ago and found it good, which is why we she took me there. Food so bad that I’m sure having to pay upfront is a strategy to ensure you can’t refuse to pay for the poor quality.

The food was disgusting cold i had the chinese chicken curry it was bland chicken in a brown water nothing else tried the turkey it was ok roast potatoes were dry and hard mash looked like it had been there for hours veg well the same and for what they charge ripped off will never go to one of these again and please dont they are absolutely crap.🤬🤮🤢🤢🤢

NEVER AGAIN! Manchester cosmo

Absolutely awful, dry stale food. Fatty meat with minimal meat actually on it.
Kids charged at adult prices for being over a certain height even though there aged 11 rushed dining!!! Very expensive!!!
Never again.

Dirty place

Last night I went to Cosmo in Manchester with my family. Some plates full of dry food, the cutlery full of grease. I contacted 2 employees and they were not even interested. I have never seen so much mess.

Nice welcolm. Friendly staff

Nice welcolm.. Lovely staff. Comfy seating. Nice looking restaurant. Duck delicious and the Chinese. Disappointed in the Indian. No meat masala or madras or onion barjies. Deserts a bit plain as cheesecake was falling apart and Icecream machine empty. All good but unfortunately Indian selection not as good as Days in Poole

Derby branch

Overall a 3/5 stars from me.

Staff 5/5 brilliant and hard working.

Food variety 4/5 plenty of food from around the world.

Food quality 2/5 poor quality and the Indian foods were especially bland and tasteless. The worse chicken tikka masala ever on par with a poor 3 star hotel buffet.

Kids loved it, they are the experts when it comes to junk food.

Cosmos Bournemouth food poisoning!

Cosmos Bournemouth. Thursday 15th June 23.
Went to Cosmos to celebrate the end of A levels. All food lids were open, so we closed them as we went along - however, food was already lukewarm! Second trip up found them all open again! Approximately 20 hours after going, the whole of the party were vomiting, with diarrhoea, sweating, shaking and I had the worst stomach cramps I’ve ever had in my life. Just had the night from hell.
Won’t return.

Cosmo Bournemouth disappointing

Having been to Cosmo buffet in Derby and Manchester was really looking forward on our visit to Bournemouth to another gourmet feast. Very disappointed, yes a large selection but the quality of the food was at best mediocre. Almost all the food was quite bland, can't actually think of any dish that we enjoyed, a waste of £20.99 per person.

Cosmo Romford

Cosmo Romford, very slow at replacing food that has run out. Some of the dishes are mediocre and overcooked and dry. We found the drinks expensive, a bottle of coke £3.50 much too much as its only a buffet.
They put the time you arrive on the table, so you don't outstay your welcome of a hour and a half. All in all for the price you are better off going to a restaurant for a little more money.

Horrible food poisoning!

I’d heard good things and everything seemed nice initially, however I got horrendous food poisoning not long after. You could tell many dishes had been left out too long, and several had disappeared quite quickly into service. When we went up to get another plate our drinks that were half full were taken away, we didn’t receive an apology from the waitress nor another drink to replace them. Wouldn’t go back again and would encourage other people to avoid.

Went to Wolverhampton Cosmo

Went to Wolverhampton Cosmo . It was the most awful experience . We booked in advance we had to wait 45 minutes,then put on a table that rocked . I asked to be moved ,then had to wait was told to go and get food and all would be sorted . I got back to the table and then had to hold my food while the tried to make the table stable. In the end they put us on a different table my food was cold so wasted. My time lot was reduced. The staff were next to useless, oblivious to to the situation. Will never go again and will tell everyone to avoid

Great evening at Cosmo Edinburgh

My family dinner at Cosmo Edinburgh was brilliant. Great choice of good food. Great customer service as well, especially Gary (Manager). He made us feel very special. My family left Cosmo Edinburgh very happy. Definitely we’ll be back.

Bad attitude

Food was great, our 2nd round of drinks took an hour to be delivered but a rude waiter asked us to leave 8 mins after our alloted 90 min time slot saying that we were half an hour late leaving. When I pointed out that we were in fact 8 mins over and only finishing drinks, he replied that his manager said half an hour. The place was quiet, we had just spent £150 and it was the same waiter that forgot to bring our drinks! No need for the snotty attitude!
