We rang and got a quote from Cosy…
We rang and got a quote from Cosy insulation. We decided to go with them. We rang and someone came out to put insulation in. Turns out the guy had left cosy insulation and went out on his own and never told us. Cosy insulation would not stand over it even tho the were the first point of contact.

We feel it is important to clarify the facts regarding this matter.
The individual who originally provided your quotation ceased working for and representing Cosy Insulation prior to the works being instructed or carried out. At the time you proceeded with the installation, he was operating independently under his own company.
Cosy Insulation was not involved in arranging, carrying out, supervising, or invoicing the installation. We did not receive payment for the works and had no knowledge that the job was proceeding.
Accordingly, the contract for the installation exists solely between yourself and the company that completed and invoiced the work. Cosy Insulation cannot accept responsibility for works undertaken independently by a third party who was no longer authorised to act on our behalf.
We take our reputation and professional standards extremely seriously and would never allow work to proceed under our name without our direct contractual involvement and guarantee.

We had freezing attic that makes our house cold , we constantly put turf on our range to keep the house warm. Then your crew came to spray insulation in our attic, they were very hard workers and very clean which I was very impressed with them.
So now the house is unbelievable warm and less turf on our range , saving turf. It made a huge difference thank God. I'm so happy and I told a lot of my friends about cossy insulation

Service was great, customer service was let down by one individual
I contacted Cosy through Instagram, guy came out and gave a run through of whats done, and I signed up on the day. The lads came about a month later and did the insultation no problem. About 2 weeks later a chap came to do the BER no issues.
The day after the BER guy came I got a call from Sinead in the office asking whether I received a form from the SEAI, which I hadn't. She asked whether I could chase this up for them. I said, well its not really up to me to chase it as all of the grant side of things was meant to be done by Cosy. She got really short on the phone and said "fine I will take care of it" and then hung up. Poor customer service, poor attitude.

I’m very pleased to hear that you were happy with the installation and BER process. It’s important to us that the work itself is carried out to a high standard, so I appreciate you highlighting that.
In relation to the SEAI paperwork, just to clarify for anyone reading — SEAI deal directly with the homeowner and will not correspond with the contractor regarding certain forms. On occasion we may need to ask customers to forward correspondence they receive, as we simply cannot access it ourselves.
I have reviewed the call internally. The recording shows that the conversation concluded with us confirming that we would take care of the matter and saying goodbye. There was no abrupt termination of the call. That said, if the tone came across in any way as short or unhelpful, that certainly wouldn’t be intentional and I apologise if that’s how it felt on your end.
We manage a large volume of grant applications and always aim to keep the process as smooth as possible for our customers.

We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t noticed the level of difference you were expecting. It’s important to explain that insulation works by retaining heat that is already being generated within the home — it does not create heat itself.
If a heating system is not performing efficiently, not reaching temperature properly, or is undersized for the property, there may simply not be enough heat being produced to noticeably retain. In that situation, the insulation will still be reducing heat loss and preventing cold external air infiltration, but the overall comfort improvement may feel limited because the primary heat source is not operating optimally.
Other factors such as thermostat settings, boiler performance, radiator balancing, draughts around windows/doors, ventilation levels and general airtightness can all significantly affect how noticeable the improvement feels.
All installations are carried out to the correct specification and deliver measurable thermal performance. However, insulation forms one part of the overall heating and energy system within a home.
