Paid $4 USD for the tag. After I completed the activation I was surprised to receive a receipt for a $11 per month "Premium" subscription. I did kot realize I was subscribing. Premium has lots of add... See more

This is amazing and affordable. I deeply appreciate that if she gets lost Crumb will make it easier to find out to get her home. Thank you so much!!!

I ordered a free tag, paying only for postage, I was not aware there was a subscription attached to the service.
I notice that there are many people saying it is very underhand the way they are marketing the tag, I think it's one step away from a scam. I never take out subscriptions and if I'd have read that in the advert, I wouldn't have got one in the first place, i went to cancel and it offered me the subscription at half price when it knew i was going to cancel. There were a few things the procedure did and i had to say no to, before it said my subscription was cancelled.

Crumb is advertised as a safety network for your pets. They offer to provide up to 5 free QR code tags if the consumer pays for shipping. What they don't tell you is that your data upon sign up is NOT private, your phone number and full street address are in plain view unless you pay the subscription fee to make them private. As of 2026-06-30 there is no self-service option to delete your account and request a refund for shipping costs. This is a predatory practice that puts pet owners at risk, especially for women.

I would avoid this company and their “free tag” nothing is ever free, which you will find out when registering your tag.
Hidden charges and obviously keep your payment details from when you pay for postage for the tag.
Doesn’t give you the option to opt out of premium when you set up your tag and doesn’t say it will be charging you or that they have kept your payment details illegally as far as I’m concerned.

Our dog lost his tag. Easy process to order the replacement. Thank you Crumb.

The "ad" that I saw said FREE....which I knew was too good to be true. So I went ahead and paid for the shipping on the free tags to find out what the catch was. Once the tags were received I got on the website to enter all of my pet's info, etc. What they don't tell you is that there is a $12 monthly subscription fee. Once I saw the fee that some people may be willing to pay but I was not I DID NOT PROCEED. I DID NOT click the button that said "activate tags now". Yet I was still signed up, charged the $12 on the credit card I used for shipping and they will not refund it. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card.

AVOID!!!!
They offer you a free tag and only pay for postage - then hold onto the payment details to set up a monthly subdcription and charge you without telling you first. They simply take a subscription payment without consent. Is this legal?
I did not authorise a subscription and request an immediate cancellation and refund.
Under UK consumer protection laws and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines, a business cannot discreetly use a payment method provided for a one-off transaction to set up a continuous monthly subscription. You must be given enough information to clearly understand the frequency, amount, and terms of the payment. It is considered an unauthorised charge and a potential "subscription trap".

This company is a joke! Said FREE tag only pay postage, they have now took money out of my account, which i only realised when i went onto my online banking, trying everything to cancel, said said codes to log on, code keeps saying invalid, i have emailed this company saying they will be getting reported as FRAUD
When I received my tag the instructions said to scan the QR code to set up my dogs name. As soon as I scanned it, an £8 a month subscription was charged to my PayPal account. I did NOT sign up to premium. I did NOT authorise this payment. They will NOT refund me, they just reply with AI that doesn't address the issue that this was a fraudulent payment. I have tried to cancel the subscription through the CRUMB app, but is says I do not have a subscription so there is nothing to cancel. I have contacted PayPal and am awaiting their response. Avoid.
So easy to set up ,great idea. Thanks wishing you all the success on your journey x

Tag is a good idea, but while purchasing it, I was sneakily entered into monthly subscription without even knowing and agreeing to it. How rude. I only found out about it through others' reviews online, checked my bank account and, sure enough, the monthly subscription was there. I cancelled it straight away.
Cannot comment on the product yet, but very put-off by the whole experience. Cannot trust this mob.

I couldn't believe how easy it was to get a replacement tag for my dog. There is a tutorial on the website. Just download the app and follow the tutorial (although it's very self explanatory most of you won't need to - I did as I'm 80). I received a confirmation email 1 minute later.

My dog got her tag caught in our decking boards. No way to retrieve it unless we tore the deck apart. Getting the replacement was so easy. A few clicks, simple directions and immediate feedback!

We actually discovered Crumb by accident when we found a lost dog outside our house. He was wearing a Crumb tag, so we scanned it—and within minutes, he was reunited with his owner! We were so impressed by how fast and seamless the technology worked that we immediately signed up to protect our own dog.

Was told there was no subscription. I did not sign up for anything but money came out my account from the card that I paid for postage with. No one is replying to me now either. Not ideal at all.
