Very disappointed

Very disappointed, I wonder now if the domains they try to sell are Fake or not.

They keep saying the domains are blocked by the Registrar for no reason and you must WAIT and WAIT

Definitely not a fast transfer as listed on their website

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of the transfer of the premium domain that I recently purchased through your platforms. I was initially assured that the transfer process would take a maximum of 5 days, which was later extended to 10 days, and then again to 15 days. Regrettably, it has now been 16 days since the purchase, and I have yet to receive the domain name in my account.

This prolonged delay in the domain transfer process has caused significant inconvenience and frustration on my part. I have been eagerly anticipating the successful transfer of the domain to proceed with my business plans, only to encounter repeated setbacks and unmet expectations.

The lack of transparency and consistent delays in the transfer timeline have not only disrupted my plans but have also raised serious concerns about the reliability and efficiency of the services provided by both Dan.com and GoDaddy.

I urge you to prioritize this matter with the utmost urgency and take immediate action to expedite the transfer of the domain to my account. Additionally, I expect to be compensated for the inconvenience and the time lost due to the delayed transfer process.

I trust that you will address this issue promptly and provide a satisfactory resolution. I look forward to a swift and positive response from your end.

I have opened a support ticket and await your response.

Excellent

team and overall a pretty seamless process. A few things that could be better:

1. Dan.com doesn't fully authenticate ownership of the domain until the time of purchase so felt it was up in the air until the transaction was fully done

Overall pretty good though and felt pretty safe through the whole process

Hello Dark Cazual,

Thank you for your feedback. What you are seeing is pricing for a Premium Domain Name . This is a domain name that someone else already owns, decided the price they desire to receive for the sale of that domain name, and want to list for sale. We do offer flexible payment options for Premium Domain names, which is what you are seeing reflected in that listing. I hope this information helps and we appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

My thanks,

Dan.com (A Godaddy company) are a bully.

Dan have been destroyed by Godaddy, Godaddy bought this company and turn it to a horible company.
They hardly respond to customers and if you only have few 1000s domains and not many in the 5 figure value, you will be treated like garbage.
You have to pray you don't have any problem with transactions because they have a useless payment system and they will ignore you.

DAN took their commission, the buyer have my domains and 20 days on, I am still waiting for DAN to pay me and the worse part of this, DAN does not know when that will be.

Dan sold my domain, send me payment in USD instead of GBP, the money was rejected by my bank, 20 days pass, DAN still telling me that they are waiting for the fund to come back to them.

They said, their payment system does not have trace facility, they cannot find out where the fund is or when the fund will be with them and they can only wait.

My bank was able to provide me with w report that give the exact date of the payment been rejected, my bank said the fund should have been with the sender in few days but 20 days on, DAN still dont have my fund and they don't know when they will get it back, they can't trace it and all they can do is wait.
All this while, they have sold my domain, they have taking their own commission but me the domain owner will just have to wait.

I made a complaint, I get a support person that tell me their is nothing they can do but to get payment team to reply to my messages.

I ask them to escalate the complaint and it looks like DAN does not have a complaint department, they keep telling me that they have send the complaint to their senior executive, till today no one contact me.

Which kind of payment system is DAN/Godaddy using in 2023, when a payment is missing and they cannot investigate where the fund is.

DAN/Godaddy is basically telling me that they have no way to find a payment they have sent that have not been delivered.

This is a new account and I set the payment fund to be GBP not USD before payment was made. The excuse I was given was the fund was sent in USD because the sales was agreed before I set my preffered currency.

It's 2023, but DAN/Godaddy want everyone using their platform to set price in USD. This is the killing of DAN, this was not an issue before Godaddy bought DAN.

Now, I don't know what to do, how do I get my money from DAN or get my domain back.

Below is one of the reply from DAN/Godddy:
----
Hi

In this case, we sent the funds in USD, as indicated in the transaction details.
You opted for GBP after setting up the sale, but you didn't notify us to pay in GBP before we sent the funds.
The funds were sent in USD and haven't been returned to us yet.
We can only wait for the returned funds before we can resend it.
Unfortunately, we won't initiate a resend until we have the returned funds.
In our experience, some cases can take days to return and some can take up to months, and the timeframe for this process is beyond our control.
We are checking the returned funds daily and will update you as soon as we have an update.
-------

After they have made a mistake, now they want to blame me.
This is the time line of event:
2023-10-11 11:05 - domain sold
2023-10-11 13:46 - set payment
2023-10-11 20:26 - Domain transferred
2023-10-12 14:44 - Payment sent and Transaction closed

Above is the timeline which shows, payment was sent the next day after I set payment method.

Also, saying that they don't know when they will make payment since it could takes months. What kind of payment system is DAN/Godaddy using that is taking months to resolve payment?
------------
My bank asked me to ask DAN if it's their bank that said there is nothing they can do other than wait. My bank could not beileve that DAN's bank said they cannot trace the funds other than to wait and hope it comes back.
This is DAN's reply:
This is indeed an unfortunate case.
As previously mentioned, we've dispatched the funds from our end, and the payment can only be resent once the funds are back in our possession.
Typically, in case of an issue, the payment bounces back. However, the duration varies, ranging from days to months, depending on the circumstances.
Our approach is to monitor the returned funds daily and provide you with updates as soon as we have any.
------------
As you can see from their reply, DAN made a mistake sending fund in USD instead of GBP, instead of contacting their bank to resolve the issue, their position is to do nothing and wait for the money to come back into their account. Also according to DAN, this could be days of months and they expect me to wait until then.

DAN have collected their commission, they have sold my domain but they expect me to wait months before I get paid due to their mistake?

What can I do? This is bullying.
