Awesome guide. Written in real voice tone, easy to read and contemplate.
For me, this book has renewed the power of social media, as a tool to create and control my own art space.

I bought the Delphian guide to navigating the art world after many months of seeing it pop up Instagram.

I have read it from cover to cover and enjoyed every bit of it, super insightful and varied, it takes on many different experiences and perspectives which give a well rounded view of the different approaches of getting into the art world.

Great work.

I found this book so useful and an excellent tool kit.

A little smaller than A5 this economically presented book is beautifully compact and one that will prove to be a friendly travelling companion.

I wouldn't say I'm an early career artist as I'm a commercial book illustrator by day but I'm currently about to focus on painting as a professional endeavour.

There's no shortage of advice out there in the world, that's for sure and it invariably puts your mind into a spin! This book is another set of albeit carefully considered and crafted pieces of advice, even though it does slightly mask it with new buzz safe word 'opinion' and reiterates several times that you can take it however you like. But it's certainly not a snack theory peddler and the food for thought aspect is indeed nutritious.
From the start, the nature of the writing is supportive, honest, practical and has a deep passion for change and possibility for the artist of today. I found it very helpful in providing a solid framework in which to put my own thoughts into context. Whatever stage you're at with your work, there will be several articles that will either be practical, inspirational or insightful for you.
It has a contradictory feel and I like that - useful thought to me, is best when it has angles and many of the articles attempt to take as many sides as possible in an attempt to present a candid view of the art world and the experiences that have inspired the writing.

To conclude this short review - I’m drawn to the last paragraph which happens to be one of the many quotes that have been sprinkled throughout pages - by Rae Hicks and this perhaps being a tactical positioning in the book, captures the whole spirit of the book for me. (you’ll have to buy a copy to read it).
So if you want to take a short, informative, insightful journey with a bunch of caring, passionate individuals; into the world of art. I highly recommend reading this book and you may just meet yourself waiting upon your return.

This is such a helpful and encouraging read. As an emerging artist, to have a guide to dip in to and retrieve useful and motivating nuggets of advice is amazing. Highly recommended!

Navigating The Art World, I wanted to say thank you for sharing all this useful information, it was clear, honest and inspiring, I realise now, what I need to do to progress with my art career, as the book has confirmed all my thoughts and has pushed me to make more practical actions, mainly towards making things happen for my self, so I am making a plan to curate a group exhibition
The quotations included from other artists, galleries and curators were very encouraging and made me feel really positive about breaking down the barriers of the “scary” art world.
Finally I wanted to say was thank you for including topics such as artist block and sharing your own experiences, your honesty and personality shines through.

The book was a present for my son who is finishing his 2nd year BA fine Art degree. I met him the other day and it was in his pocket for tube reading. No better recommendation!! I think it will be of enormous help in navigating his next steps in the art world.

Navigating the art world is a very insightful and clear book. It is written in an easy-to-read yet creative way and touches upon all key items. Would love to see more books that dive deeper into some of the topics mentioned!

Thank you for publishing this book. I am taking my first steps to pursue my career as an early artist. Although I am aware of most of the issues in this guide it is great to have it now altogether in a handy pocket version.

I was apprehensive at first, but when I received my book, I found it very informative and would recommend it to any young or old artists!
As for the delivery it was quick and could track it all the way!

The book is really good - such good advice on so many aspects of art, particularly the use of social media. I thought Hedley Roberts’ contribution to be very insightful.
