At a time when many businesses rely on online sales and cut costs at brick and mortar stores a shopping experience like the one I had yesterday because of Maya’s help and my ability to look, touch, and try on options until finding the right fit and look I needed was a reminder of why stores and good employees will always be preferred by me.

This company is a scam. I’m 6'10" and ordered 4XLt polo shirts, but they were too short. I went to Winston-Salem to prove this, returned the shirts, and was denied a refund. I had on a polo shirt that I bought before and the same brand but the shirt I had on was almost two inches longer than the new ones. The manager said all new polo shirts are like this, claiming I was mistaken. Headquarters also said it was a big-and-tall size. The difference between big and tall is that a big size is extra large, meaning wider and taller means longer. They said it was Nautica's fault. Just like I said before this place is no good for taller people and too expensive to only get to wear it one time. Change your name and take tall out of it because this is proof of false advertisement.

Big AND tall is what they advertise... but where's all the TALL options for pants?? No 34 length in the store? Really?? What a joke. Plenty of options for big waists (as they should), but my son did not walk out feeling included. What a disappointment. Side note, I know size 17 shoes are impossible to find in person, but I held out hope for DXL... NOPE. Sad.

I placed an order and realized it was the wrong thing. I contacted them within 15 minutes and they told me I couldn't cancel it, that it was too far along in the process. My only option was to return the items once they came- AND PAY A 7.95 RETURN SHIPPING FEE!!! What a ripoff of a store!!

Ordered based on the size guide, but the clothes came way too big. The measurements on the website are clearly inaccurate.
Even though the customer service was prompt and polite, but at the end of the day, we are paying for the product. Having to cover the return cost for an error entirely on their side is unacceptable and frankly infuriating. No more next time.

I contacted them to stop and they told me it would continue for so many business days?! No idea that would need to be the case. But it has continued on. Unsolicited emails are illegal

What a shambles of a company. received a t shirt in UK today, want to return as too big. Tried to log into my account, wrong password, asked 4 times for password reset, nothing, sent another email to be told that my email doesn't exist although that was the email used for placing order and received confirmation on. Now been told to contact a different department and two hours later, nothing.
No idea how to return the item for a refund, can't get into my account and no one seems to be doing anything to help.

Garbage product. Underwear and socks fall apart almost instantly while shirts have poor stitches. Used to have preshrunk quality fabrics but now super thin.
In addition, I tried to use a gift card to buy some shoes and they claimed it was not a valid card (it was valid until they voided it today) then replaced it with a card that would not work. Years of abuse and this was finally the last straw. Not even a good big and tall selection anymore.

I purchased a 3 pack of underwear for nearly $40. I’ve worn each pair once. I just washed them and one pair has a major tear the top of the elastic above the tag. The quality of this product has gone way down. I’ve been wearing these for years and just the past few years the quality is zero. I keep giving them chances and am continually disappointed. Time to find an other brand.

My experience began with the Greenville, SC store, where I spoke with Anthony about a pair of dress slacks I saw online. Anthony was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. He went above and beyond by locating the exact slacks I wanted at the Pineville, NC location—closer to me—and provided the store’s contact information.
When I called the Pineville store, I had the pleasure of speaking with Paige. She was friendly, courteous, and attentive. After I explained what I was looking for, she immediately pulled the dress slacks in the sizes and colors I needed, preparing for my visit.
When I arrived at the store, Paige greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel genuinely welcome. She guided me to the fitting room and continued assisting me as I tried on several options. Her customer service was top-tier.
I also want to commend the store’s presentation—clean, well-organized, and stocked with great merchandise. The atmosphere was relaxed, upbeat, and inviting. Before leaving, I met the manager on duty, Vicki, who was just as pleasant and supportive. I shared my appreciation for Paige’s excellent service, and it was clear that the team at DXL Pineville works well together.
Overall, I had an exceptional experience at both locations. Thank you to Anthony, Paige, Vicki, and the DXL team for delivering the kind of service that truly stands out.

Got an email from DXL for 40 dollars off it you purchase 100 dollars. Purchased 110 dollars, shipping was free, put in the 40 dollar discount code, shipping went to 10 dollars. Called customer service and said this didn't seem right. She removed the shipping fee. She said they would ship it out that day (4/9/25). Later got a shipping notice arrival by 4/17/25, but if I upgraded my shipping the UPS for 8 bucks it would be quicker. Called customer service and now is is shipping via USPS. They just lost me.
Update, got a call Sunday at Noon from the person in charge of customer service. He chatted a bit and discussed what he know (he had already researched the issue). He convinced me that he was going to look into the shipping method and make it better for the customers. He also shared some upcoming things coming to their stores, and web site. I'm back.
