Hello Detroit Axle Customer Service,
I’m contacting you regarding a front-end parts order I purchased for my **2014 Chevy Silverado**. Unfortunately, this order has been a very disappointing experience from beginning to end.
When I received the parts, I immediately ran into several problems:
* One of the **CV axle boots had a rip in it**.
* The **splines on the wheel/hub end of one CV axle were dented**, as though the axle had been dropped or damaged before it was shipped. The damage was bad enough that the axle would not fit into the wheel hub. I had to have someone carefully file the damaged area down just to make the part usable.
* The **lower ball joints were listed as an exact fit for my 2014 Chevy Silverado, but they did not fit my vehicle at all**. Fortunately, I had a friend who was able to use them, so I sold them to him and had to purchase the correct ball joints elsewhere.
I ordered these parts expecting new, undamaged components that were specifically advertised as fitting my vehicle. Instead, I received damaged parts, had to modify a CV axle just to install it, and had to spend additional money purchasing the correct ball joints.
This turned what should have been a straightforward repair into a frustrating and unnecessarily expensive experience.
I would like Detroit Axle to review this order and provide a reasonable resolution for the damaged CV axle and the incorrectly listed ball joints. I have purchased parts expecting Detroit Axle to provide reliable components and accurate vehicle fitment information, and this order did not meet those expectations.

The warranty with Detroit Axle is honestly ridiculous. I bought a steering rack for my 2017 Sierra, and it developed a bunch of play and started clicking when turning. When I tried to use the lifetime warranty, I found out they require you to return your original OEM part to get the warranty replacement.
What made it even worse was dealing with customer service. The person I talked to acted like I was stupid for questioning the warranty policy and basically talked down to me the entire time. Instead of actually trying to help or explain the situation, they made me feel like I was wasting their time and then hung up on me.
I expected a lot better from a company that advertises a lifetime warranty. The part failed, the warranty process is a hassle, and the customer service was probably the worst part of the whole experience. Definitely not buying from Detroit Axle again.

Back in February I ordered some rotors and brake pads for my Chevy Bolt EV. Today I installed them ( State inspection is next week) the rotors are perfect but I couldn't install the brake pads because they are too thick and I had to put back the old brake pads.

the chat person was very helpful and even went the distance to see if a combination of parts would suit my needs. DA has a great variety of parts for many vehicles. GOOD
JOB

The brake rotors I bought warped within 8,000 miles. They were replaced under warranty, but I had to pay $40 for shipping, plus $85 more for the brake pads that were ruined by your warped rotors. That's not much of a warranty. I could have purchased from a different company and paid less for quality rotors and pads than what I ended up paying with your warranty. I probably won't be buying any more brake parts from Detroit Axle.

Great purchase delivery was on time. All parts were there and went on with no issue. And price. Was the best I could find

The information on their website is incorrect. My son entered all of the vehicle information, but we were sent the wrong rotors. After installing the parts and taking the vehicle for a test drive, we immediately noticed that the brakes were not working correctly. We stopped driving and had a mechanic inspect the vehicle, and he confirmed that the rotors and brake pads were incorrect.
We ended up spending an additional $380 on top of buying from Detroit Axle to have the correct parts installed and the vehicle repaired properly. Detroit Axle is now refusing to issue a refund for the incorrect parts because they were installed and are therefore considered “used.”
The problem is that their website lists the wrong rotors for a 2016 Ford Explorer Limited. This vehicle requires larger rotors, and the parts they sent were not the correct fit.
Based on this experience, I would avoid purchasing from this company and recommend finding another vendor with more accurate vehicle information and better customer service.

I emailed the email they told me to, and I got the same response of "you installed the parts so you can't return them." F-this place. I'm not the only one who got screwed over; see their other reviews.

Their 2 day shipping is false advertisement. We put in an order on 8/15/26 which shipped on that day. Estimated date was 8/18/26. Got an email from FedEx to track it and wasn't coming until 8/21/26. Very upset! My car has been apart for over a week and couldn't get to a job interview. Will not deal with this company again.

Very poor customer support. I ordered over the phone a pair of quick struts. When they arrived, they did not fit. I called for an exchange and they did not have the part I needed after all. I got a return label and once I shipped it back, I was informed I would be getting a store credit instead of a refund. They do not carry any part I need so the reality is they just kept my cash. I returned within the time frame given me. I would advise against buying from this vendor as they seem like a scam company.

I made an order through Amazon where Detroit Axel is a third party seller. Unfortunately, I had to return the part. Because the pads did not fit my car.... I returned them promptly. And it took three weeks for Detroit Axel, to return my money!!!! Don't order from them anything!!!Where you may have to get a refund because they charged me A refund fee, which is absolutely ridiculous. Why could they NOT return ALL of my money? I was really p***** off about that. And I DON'T BLAME Amazon. I feel like they are getting over on Amazon As a third party seller!! THEY WILL NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME ORDERING ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!!! EVERY STEP IN THE RETURN PROCESS SOUNDED FRAUDULENT. AMAZON NEEDS TO GET RID OF THEM!!

Christopher, was not only patient and focused on understanding, he was able to help fix my problem. After almost losing myself and my shop as customers, he saved my business and completely erased the negative interaction I had with Anthony over chat.
Christopher is a good employee but not just because he is good at what he does. He is so good because he cares.
Thanks Christopher, I will be back.

Had some parts delivered but they were the wrong end of the car. Return was easy, even though I was outside of their window they still refunded me the money. Ordered the right parts and they were here in 2 days. The help is excellent and the shipping is fast.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not buy from this company they are rude and dishonest. Received the wrong parts in my brakes kit and now am 2 phone calls and 10 emails weeks later situation is still not correctly resolved. Unbelievable.

Other than paying for the shipping for warranty parts, it's a good service at great prices. Detroit Axle cost a lot less for good quality parts with good warranties.

I ordered new rear air shocks and sway bars for my 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier, I was pleasantly surprised at how well built the new shocks were. The quality was off the chart and everything was included to complete the job. They were packaged well for shipping , thanks again for sending out quality parts!

Update: Per the company's reply, I sent them the Order information and have not yet received any further response from them.
This company provided me with the wrong parts 3 times on the same order. Two of those times were after a 90 minute round trip drive to their location to get the correct ones. After 2 trips and the salesperson insisting they were right the last time, the parts were still wrong and I ended up having to spend another $222 to get and have the correct parts installed and they refunded me only $36. And I had to spend a lot of time interacting with customer service to get that. Will never purchase from them again.

BUYER BEWARE !! I Bought some struts for my 2018 GMC Sierra Denali they're magneride strut assemblies that wear out after 10,000 miles, they warrantied a set that now has lasted only 6 months now they tell me the warranty is no good.. I will never order struts from them ever again they are an American company selling cheap parts. Garbage !! At one time they used to be a good reputable company not no more, someone who does not stand behind their product is someone I do not want to do business with. Hopefully I save some of you from getting the shaft like I did..
